Chapter 242 Behemoth's Fury

Chapter 242 Behemoth's Fury

For the Babel Bees, who initially used chemical propellants for propulsion and directly entered interstellar civilization after awakening their psionic powers from the Void God, pulse propulsion was an unfamiliar field.

Therefore, despite having nuclear fusion reactors as the energy source for space travel, pulse propulsion only reaches one ten-thousandth of the speed of light, or 30 km/s.

This speed is already above the third cosmic velocity of the current star system, but it is completely insignificant on the scale of light-years in the universe.

Fortunately, the target that Behemoth was dealing with was in the same star system as it; otherwise, at its current speed, even if it took thousands or tens of thousands of years, it might not be able to reach its destination.

As the Behemoth closed the distance to its target planet Reka, it received more and more radio messages from various nations and even civilians of the Ska civilization on Reka.

Many of these radio messages were attempts to contact the Behemoth, representing requests for negotiation from nations or organizations.

The purpose of the negotiations among the various Ska peoples is self-evident: to prevent the approach of the Behemoth through diplomatic talks. Although everyone knows that this is likely to be of little use, since the aliens have already issued a declaration of war, there is no reason to back down halfway.

But what if it succeeds?

Since the adversary of Z-16 is aliens, it's impossible to deduce its existence using the common sense of the Skaians.

Compared to the radio messages from various Ska peoples, the radio messages from unofficial organizations are quite interesting.

For example, there is a new religious organization that calls itself the Babel Bee Swarm Cult. They worship the Babel Bee Swarm, which they have never met, as gods. While introducing themselves in radio messages, they express with utmost piety their desire to communicate with the behemoth of their faith.

For example, mercenary organizations serving in wars for certain countries humbly expressed their desire to serve the Babel Swarm's war efforts to the Behemoth. They also explained to the Behemoth what strategic plans they would employ if the Babel Swarm accepted their services, and how easily they would defeat the stubborn Ska people and seize control of the entire planet Reka.

These mercenary organizations are commonly known as "traitors" or "collaborators" on Earth.

The most bizarre of all were the radios with a self-destructive tendency. The Ska people, filled with hatred for their mother civilization, seemed to have formed many small groups in the midst of their turbulent society. These groups used their homemade radio equipment to warmly welcome the arrival of the Behemoth. Among them were some of the more intelligent ones who secretly transmitted secrets, plans, and strategies of various Ska people's countries to the Behemoth in coded and encrypted form.

In this way, they could tell the Behemoth behemoth which places on Reka were strategic points for the Ska people, and which places, if lost, would directly paralyze half of the Ska people's industry, and so on.

These small groups have only one goal: to hope that the Babel bees will show no mercy and wipe out the entire Ska civilization without leaving a single survivor.

As part of the mother civilization, yet actively yearning for its destruction, the Behemoth's mindset is completely incomprehensible to the Ska people. In the eyes of the swarm creatures, the swarm itself is everything, and the survival of the swarm is the highest level of meaning, for which they will stop at nothing.

Therefore, the Skaians, who send out these self-destructive radio signals, are incomprehensible anomalies and oddities in the eyes of the Behemoth.

It was only then that the Behemoth behemoth belatedly realized why Lu Shang had said that its single space combat unit would be sufficient when he assigned it to this task.

Indeed, the facts speak for themselves.

Before it even reached its destination, a bunch of traitors from the Ska civilization jumped out on Reka Star. If it reaches Reka Star's orbit, it's questionable whether the Ska civilization society on Reka Star can still unite as one.

I fear that by then, the entire Ska civilization will be in disarray, without any semblance of resistance.

After thinking for a moment, the Behemoth sent a radio message toward the planetary creatures.

"Since we're going to incorporate the Ska civilization as a satellite civilization, shouldn't we communicate with the forces within their civilization that support the swarm's domination?"

The message was not answered immediately, radio communication was not as convenient as cellular networks, and radio, limited by the speed of light, could not transmit information faster than the speed of light.

After a delay of about twelve minutes, Lu Shang responded.

"No need, just follow the steps. These radio communication requests are mixed with deception, trying to extract swarm information by communicating with you. Even those Ska people who are not deceiving you, after you communicate with them, the Ska countries will obtain relevant information about the swarm by arresting and interrogating these people of their own kind."

The Behemoth was startled, then suddenly realized, "So that's how it is! These Skaians are truly wicked! We almost fell for their trap!"

Even a newborn Behemoth, with memories of past wars within the swarm, is well aware that information about the swarm cannot be casually exposed, especially to the enemy. Who knows what harmful things the enemy might do to the swarm?

The behemoth was enraged at the thought that it had almost been tricked into doing something harmful to the colony by another civilization's scheme. Insulting a bee creature was like tricking it into doing something harmful to the entire colony, an act akin to deceiving a Christian by pushing Jesus' head down the toilet.

The behemoth Behemoth decided to teach the Ska people on Reka a painful lesson.

Numerous fleshy cocoons sprouted from the sides of the Behemoth, rapidly expanding in size. Simultaneously, numerous ducts extended from the Behemoth's body.

The pipe is magnetic and can conduct electricity, and its structure is made of carbon fiber, making it extremely strong and resistant to impact.

As the fleshy cocoons on his side burst open one by one, they revealed something resembling a cannon turret.

These are biological versions of electromagnetic railguns, directly modified from the electromagnetic naval gun design blueprints of the satellite civilization using biological methods.

The difficulty of electromagnetic railguns lies in energy and materials. Creating a strong magnetic field will generate heat in the materials, and secondly, there is the need for sufficiently strong electrical energy.

In terms of power supply, the Behemoth behemoth is equipped with a biological version of a nuclear fusion reactor. As for materials, as long as the electrical heating and strength are solved, it doesn't really matter whether metal is used for the frame and the cannon barrel.

Centered on the Behemoth behemoth in flight, a high-powered, high-frequency electromagnetic radar wave was radiated. After waiting for a period of time, the Behemoth behemoth seemed to be guided by something and aimed the electromagnetic cannon at a target that was invisible to the naked eye.

As car-sized metal projectiles burst from the electromagnetic cannon barrel, the Behemoth's speed decreased slightly.

"Although the Lu Shang mainframe's intention is to incorporate you into a satellite civilization, as long as you are not destroyed, there are still many ways to teach you a lesson."
