Chapter 276 The way of joining is too physical.

After Lu Shang led the swarm to regain control of the mother universe, and after a period of preparation to prevent unforeseen events, the swarm launched an exploration campaign into the universes over which the swarm had lost control.

After recovering more than four thousand civilized breeding farms, the bee swarm finally discovered bee swarms scattered in other universes.

However, the way this bee colony exists seems a bit subtle.

This civilization's breeding ground was not large, only about the mass of a galaxy. When the medium creatures sent by Lu Shang passed through the wormhole and entered this small universe, they quickly sensed the swarm psionic network that covered the entire single-galaxy universe.

Initially, the medium beings thought that the swarm of bees in this civilization farm universe had not been affected by the ultimate destruction, or that the initial attack had not caused much damage. They quickly found a way to restore their psionic energy, and the entire microcosm was still under the control of the swarm.

Thus, the medium beings happily connected to the swarm network, intending to establish contact with the swarm beings in this universe and exchange information about the ultimate destruction.

To the utter surprise of the media creatures, the response to their messages came from a civilization outside the swarm.

This unexpected situation prompted the medium creatures to urgently contact the swarm collective. The swarm collective quickly made a decision to conduct a wormhole-based capture of a non-swarm psionic individual within that universe.

Simply put, it involves determining the coordinates of an organism based on the swarm's psionic energy response within the universe, opening a wormhole based on those coordinates, extending the planetary organism's psionic energy into that microcosm through the wormhole, pulling the target organism through the wormhole, and finally closing the wormhole connection before the psionic civilization in that universe can react.

After a detailed study of the captured individuals, the swarm understood the reason why the psionic creature in that universe could access the swarm's psionic network, something that had caught them completely off guard.

The Civilized Farm consists of three world structures: the Cage World, the Virtual World, and the Projection World.

The psionic beings' physical bodies reside in the cage world, their thoughts exist in the virtual world, and the projected world is a sandbox that uses information from the virtual world for physical simulation and feedback.

However, after the swarm's psionic energy was destroyed, the three world structures collapsed instantly.

The connection between the three worlds relies on the swarm network. When the swarm's psionic energy fails, the swarm's psionic network also fails, causing the psionic beings' minds to return from the virtual world to their bodies.

Although the swarm creatures responsible for controlling these psionic beings immediately took action to chemically anesthetize and poison them, the containment of the psionic beings spiraled out of control due to the collapse of the swarm network and the resulting lack of coordination.

When these psionic beings realized they were imprisoned, the first thing they did was to unite all available forces to kill the swarm of creatures.

Unable to use psionic energy and still in chaos, the swarm of bees was unable to mobilize any effective forces to fight against these psionic creatures.

After the massacre of the swarm creatures by the psionic beings, the alliance will collapse due to their differences. Even if they form a group, they will eventually fight each other due to their different races, and eventually forget the years of united resistance.

Therefore, Lu Shang's swarm explored more than four thousand civilized breeding farms but found no trace of swarm creatures. The psionic creatures at that time had destroyed them quite thoroughly.

However, there are also cases where the process is not thorough, such as the civilized breeding farms that the current media creatures are exploring.

When faced with the collapse of their species and the prospect of extinction, the bee colony in this civilized breeding farm realized that it could not confront the out-of-control psionic creatures directly, so it adopted another survival strategy.

In Earth terms, it's like saying, "If you can't beat them, join them."

The psionic alliance would never allow the swarm creatures to join them. The chain of suspicion was not so easily broken. After realizing how terrifying the Babel swarm was, the psionic alliance, from top to bottom, were staunch exterminators of the swarm creatures.

The bee colonies in this civilized beekeeping farm were naturally aware of this, so they had no intention of negotiating at all in the first place.

The bee swarms within the civilized breeding farm kept in mind Professor Lu Shang's statement that "civilizations communicate in a physical way on a large scale," so they also directly joined the psionic creature alliance in a physical way.

Through swarm spore infection, the brains of some psionic beings in the coalition are directly infected, serving as external organs for these psionic beings and establishing a swarm network between them and different infected individuals.

Apart from that, there were no further actions taken. The infected person still retained their sense of self and showed no abnormalities. Their appearance remained unchanged, and their body became healthier due to the infection by the spores.

They remain the same as before after being infected. The only difference is that they have an external organ that facilitates communication with other infected individuals, and their offspring's bloodline has also been transformed into infected individuals who can access the swarm network.

The genes of the bee colony attach to the genetic material of the infected. When these psionic creatures mate, the brain of the resulting embryonic cell will grow a bee colony parasite.

Thus, the bee colonies in the civilized breeding farm successfully joined the psionic creature alliance directly through physical means.

The psionic alliance was aware of the infected, but they needed to eliminate the swarm of creatures before they could recover, so the infected could be put aside for the time being.

Within the Civilization Farm universe, after the massacre of the bee-like creatures ended, the psionic alliance no longer had the opportunity to eliminate the infected.

Not to mention that these infected individuals also possess considerable psychic abilities, and their numbers are not small either.

Furthermore, the swarm network can efficiently transmit information in real time. If an infected person is ambushed and killed by psionic creatures, other infected people will know immediately, causing a chain reaction.

The saying goes, "When the rabbit dies, the fox grieves," and "Those of one's own kind grieve." No infected person would stand idly by, because everyone knows that if this person is killed today, it could be their turn tomorrow.

And so the infected psionic creatures continued to exist. Over time, as the infected multiplied for dozens of generations without any abnormalities, the uninfected psionic creatures gradually lowered their guard.

The psionic alliance, having lowered its guard, will inevitably split, given that their races are all different.

This led to two types of civilizations: one composed of uninfected psionic beings, which lacked swarm networks and were unable to reproduce as infected; and the other composed of infected beings, whose offspring were all infected.
