Chapter 320 The Other Side of the Wormhole is Too Empty

The fleet of the Prinkia civilization entered the wormhole, and all of this was observed by the nearby medium creatures.

However, these long-term trackers did not enter the wormhole with the Plinka civilization's fleet this time, but instead remained outside the wormhole at a distance of four light-years.

"The Plinka fleet has entered that wormhole," the medium creature reported to Lu Shang.

Lu Shang asked, "Has anything changed?"

"We haven't seen any changes yet," the media organism reported to Lu Shang.

Looking through the medium's vision at the enormous wormhole, which was more than ten light-years in diameter, Lu Shang said leisurely, "I hope that the Plinka people who entered the wormhole can bring more useful information to the swarm, and that they don't all die at once."

……

The other end of the wormhole is completely unknown. The Babel bees have no idea what's going on in that little universe, and neither do the Princians.

To avoid any unforeseen circumstances, the Pulinka civilization decided that a general-purpose fleet of the Pulinka civilization would be the first to enter the wormhole.

This fleet consists of various types of ships with different functions, including military ships, engineering ships, and transport ships. It can fight, serve as an armed transport fleet, and also has a certain degree of industrial capability, allowing it to choose a location and build one or more space fortresses using local materials.

Meanwhile, this military operation to traverse the wormhole was remotely commanded by the military's decision-making level.

The bee swarm can learn about the situation on the other side of the wormhole through the information exchange network of the Pulinka people without sending a medium creature into the wormhole.

Information transmitted from the external sensors of this versatile fleet revealed that the interior of the wormhole was not dark; instead, due to the distorted spacetime, it displayed rainbow-like bands of light, all emitted by the light source at the front of the fleet.

The light source was like a sun in the pitch-black night, shining on the ships of the Pulinka civilization as they advanced, reflecting a metallic luster.

The high command of the Prinkia civilization was watching the multi-purpose fleet intently, as was the Babel swarm.

When the fleet successfully passed through the wormhole, all that came into view was a gray, desolate landscape, and nothing else.

However, what's amazing is that although it's empty, it doesn't seem dark at all; it's as if a background light source, hidden somewhere, is providing illumination.

An empty spacetime bubble is not good news for the Plinka people, as the Central Unified Government is counting on the "Babel swarm technology" within the bubble to help them resolve their internal strife.

The decision-makers of the unified central government exchanged glances, and under the pressure of various layers of transmission, a military staff officer sent an inquiry through a communicator to the general-purpose fleet exploring on the other side of the wormhole.

"Can you determine the scale of this spacetime bubble?"

If the scale is small, it means that this spacetime bubble does not contain what the Pulinka civilization wanted, that is, it contains the remains of a civilization with higher technology. In this case, the Pulinka civilization can only find other ways to solve the problem of internal strife.

However, if the scale is very large, due to the relationship between near and far, the relics of civilization may be hidden in this hazy background by the large scale distance.

"Without any reference points, the only option for now is to continue deploying small exploration fleets and using mobile methods for reconnaissance," the fleet commander replied helplessly.

The fleet commander was also eager to ascertain the situation within this spacetime bubble. However, there were no reference points to observe within this spacetime bubble, unlike the mother universe, where the scale of spacetime could be quickly determined by measuring the distances between celestial bodies.

Currently, the most efficient and reliable method of exploration for the Plinka people is movement.

The so-called mobile method involves dispatching one or more exploration ships to serve as observation coordinates.

If the exploration spaceship travels faster than the speed of light but eventually returns to its starting point, it means that the spaceship has completed a full cycle within the closed spacetime bubble.

Based on this data, and with some calculations, the specific scale value within the spacetime bubble can be determined.

The decision-makers of the Prinkia civilization had no objection to this, but in addition to going out to explore, they had something else to add.

The military staff officer said, "Arrange for the engineering ships in your fleet to build an outpost at the other end of the wormhole."

Building an outpost near the wormhole entrance serves two purposes: first, to prevent anyone from the mother universe from seizing the spacetime bubble; and second, to prevent anything dangerous from suddenly popping out of the spacetime bubble and invading the mother universe.

Although the high-ranking officials of the Pulinka civilization felt that the latter situation was somewhat unfounded given the hazy, empty background, the former was certainly highly likely to exist, after all, internal strife within the civilization was always stirring.

Even if there is really nothing in this spacetime bubble, the Central Unified Government cannot give it up. Giving it up would mean losing its prestige, and once it loses its powerful aura, the only result would be gradual decline.

"Yes, sir!"

……

The bee swarm was also somewhat bewildered when they saw that the spacetime bubble was filled with a hazy gray background.

It's like thinking you're holding a hungry tiger, or at least a hungry cub, in a cage, only to find it's just a bunch of air inside.

"What's going on? What happened to the promised ultimate destruction?" the planetary creature asked.

"Could they be hiding?" some media creatures speculated.

One of the hives asked dismissively, "What do the Priinkians have that would make Ultimate Destruction fear them? Your guess is probably completely illogical."

"This..." The medium was speechless.

The strength of the Princa civilization is not enough to make the swarm wary. If the swarm is not wary, then what is there to fear about the ultimate destruction?

Just as the bee-like creatures were discussing among themselves, Lu Shang said, "Let's wait until the Plinka people finish probing that spacetime bubble before we see the results. Don't rush to conclusions now."

"Now that we know the coordinates of that spacetime bubble, the swarm's negative energy attack can be carried out immediately. As the Plinka people explore further, the swarm will only learn more, and its advantage will gradually increase over time. Time is on the swarm's side."

Just as Lu Shang and the high-ranking officials of the Prinkia civilization were waiting for further news from the wormhole, the fleet suddenly lost contact!

Subsequently, the Prinkia civilization fleet, which remained in the wormhole at the other end of the mother universe, also lost contact!

Two massive fleets of the Pulinka civilization lost contact with each other within two seconds of each other!

"New development!"

The media organism immediately reported this matter to Lu Shang.

In terms of intelligence, the swarm had more information than the Plinka because a group of media creatures remained near the wormhole.

Lu Shang looked at the trillion-level fleet of the Prinkia civilization that was originally stationed outside the wormhole, now a trillion-level garbage dump floating in the universe, and muttered to himself.

"They've finally made their move."
