You were put undercover, and you've risen to become the boss.

Qi Zheng was unable to come to his senses for a long time.

"Director Qi, are you still there?"

"Yes, yes, I'm here, Comrade Chen Hui. What you've said is a lot of information; I need to digest it properly! So, what are your plans now?"

"Chief Qi, I think this is an opportunity. With the connection between Ding Tai and Wu Zhensheng, we can establish a foothold in Aimo. If we can stabilize it, this will be a stronghold we have planted in Northern Shan State."

"Although Zuo Min, this cancerous tumor, has been eradicated, Southern Xinjiang Province is close to Northern Shan State, and there are countless drug traffickers. They are ubiquitous. Our establishment here is very beneficial for combating various illegal activities along the border, and can even better prevent these drug trafficking activities!"

"In addition, the mastermind behind Fengleyuan District is inquiring about Zhou Yutong's situation. He previously planned to buy her from Peng Jiahao. I can take this opportunity to find out who this mastermind is."

"One more thing, the mastermind behind the kidnapping, Saikan, has not yet been caught. He planned to kidnap Chinese citizens from China by entering the country. Arresting him will also serve as a deterrent to others."

Qi Zheng was taken aback.

"Do you know where Saikan is?"

"I don't know yet, but I believe he'll show up soon!"

How can you be so sure?

"The hostages were rescued, his plan was ruined, Sheng Min couldn't be released, he must be furious, and the Huangguo Army wants the child soldiers I have. I've taken over Peng Jiahao's position, he definitely wants to seize everything, he'll show himself sooner or later!"

Qi Zheng pondered for a moment.

"Even if Saikan shows up, are you confident you can deal with him? He's a member of the Huangguo Army. This isn't in China, and you don't have any support. Saikan's influence in Northern Shan State is also considerable."

A confident smile appeared on Chen Hui's lips.

"Chief Qi, have you forgotten that I am currently in Aimo, which is Allied Army territory? I still have connections with Ding Tai and Wu Zhensheng. If Saikan wants to take direct action against me, he should think carefully and weigh his own position."

Upon hearing this, Qi Zheng thought about it carefully and realized that it was indeed true.

"What you've said is all very important. If we could really establish a base here in Aimo to help curb crime in our Southern Xinjiang province, that would be excellent!"

"However, Xiaohui, your current position is very important, especially since you've come into contact with Peng Zhenxing of the Allied Forces and Ding Tai of the United Forces. Neither of them are ordinary people. Our Foreign Affairs Committee also has its own ideas about them. I have to report this matter. You will stay in Aimo for the time being. After the report is submitted, I will notify you of any developments."

"Understood, Director Qi!"

"Xiaohui, you're all alone over there, so please take care of your safety. If anything happens, you can return to China anytime, and I'll send someone to pick you up immediately!"

"good!"

"Also, Xiaohui, your status is different now. Do you want me to arrange a few more comrades to help you? Don't worry, I will select experienced police officers to assist you. That way, you won't have to fight alone, and you can talk to someone if anything happens."

Chen Hui was taken aback.

Send someone over to assist me?

This might not be a good idea, especially for experienced undercover officers. What if there's a disagreement between them? If the other party relies on their seniority and doesn't listen to them, it might backfire.

Even experienced undercover police officers might not be able to succeed in the northern Shan State.

In this place, flexibility is crucial. Those experienced veteran officers are bound by their police identity, which is completely different from their usual style of operation.

"Director Qi, I think I'm fine on my own right now. If there are more people to discuss things with, it might affect my judgment. After all, this is not an ordinary place. Everyone has a different way of doing things, and not everyone can adapt to it."

After hearing this, Qi Zheng naturally understood his meaning.

"Alright, since you think it's more convenient for you to be alone, then go ahead. But one person has already submitted a report to our provincial department, requesting to be transferred here."

"Who?"

"Your old partner, Xu Qingyan, learned that you had infiltrated Aimo and volunteered to come and assist you, passing on intelligence for you. After all, you've worked together before and it went very smoothly, so there's no need for you to adjust to each other since she's here!"

Chen Hui immediately refused.

"Director Qi, your provincial department won't approve her application, will it?"

"Not yet, but it shouldn't be a big problem!"

"Chief Qi, I'm here as an undercover agent. How can I just tell her my identity? Besides, when she was undercover before, we were lovers. Now that I've just arrived in Northern Shan State, she's showing up. It will arouse suspicion."

Qi Zheng was stunned for a moment when he heard this.

"That's something I didn't consider. Okay, let's talk about it later. I need to report to the Secret Service and the department now. Your current position is very important."

"good!"

After Qi Zheng reported this intelligence, Feng Lun from the Special Operations Bureau and the Foreign Affairs Management Committee sent people over immediately to meet with Qi Zheng and Tan Zhigang for a seminar.

The director of the Foreign Affairs Management Committee is surnamed Liu.

"Director Qi, Director Tan, I really didn't expect that Xiao Hui not only completed the mission this time, but also established himself in Aimo. On behalf of our Special Operations Bureau, I would like to express our support for Xiao Hui to establish a base in Aimo. This will make it easier for us to gather intelligence on the Northern Shan State in the future."

Qi Zheng also spoke.

"If Comrade Chen Hui can settle down in Aimo, he will also make a significant contribution to our province's fight against illegal activities by foreign forces. Our provincial department in southern Xinjiang fully supports this!"

Tan Zhigang frowned slightly.

"Chief Qi, support is no problem, but when Xiao Hui went undercover, he said that his mission would be completed as long as these hostages were rescued. If he stays in Northern Shan State, when will this mission ever end? It's not fair to him."

Chen Hui is his apprentice, and he cherishes his own apprentice. He has to think about Chen Hui's well-being.

Qi Zheng looked at him.

"Director Tan, this was Xiao Hui's own decision, and we should support him. Once he's sorted things out regarding Ai Mo, we can send someone over to help him. Then he can come back, and someone else can take his place there. I promise you, at most a year!"

Hearing this, Tan Zhigang had no choice but to compromise. Indeed, Chen Hui's current position was too important, and even if he wanted to remove Chen Hui, the ministry and the Foreign Affairs Management Committee would not agree.

Director Liu nodded in agreement.

"Director Tan, Director Qi, Director Feng, our Foreign Affairs Management Committee also supports Comrade Chen Hui's work. However, given his current important position, our Foreign Affairs Management Committee has decided to send someone over to handle our work specifically."
