Red Dragon seeks his position in both realms.

Chapter 9 The Cultivation World of Shitholes

"The Purple Mansion Golden Elixir Path is clearly a cesspool!"

"This world of cultivation is also a filthy quagmire!"

Two hours later, Winters drew two shocking conclusions from the books he brought from the cultivation world.

"What does it mean that the upper echelons of the Daoist tradition have absolute suppression over the lower echelons? That the upper echelons can command absolute obedience from the lower echelons?"

"What does it mean to feed on fellow cultivators, seize their immortal foundations, and use fellow cultivators as elixirs and medicines to nourish one's own Dao?"

Winters felt a chill run down his spine as he read the admonitions to future generations in these monks' biographies.

He carefully opened each book, and the more he looked, the more he felt that the words on the pages had become crooked and blurry, unlike human writing.

But the book clearly states the four characters "Seeking Immortality and Asking the Way" on every page!

Winters looked at it more and more strangely. After looking at it carefully for a long time, he suddenly realized that this was not some kind of seeking immortality or asking questions!

It's clearly: "Eating people! Eating demons!"

Those two Buddhist cultivation manuals are even more terrifying.

The first sentence of every Buddhist scripture and Buddhist practice is:

"The Buddha is compassionate; all who enter the Buddhist gate are disciples of the World-Honored One."

Winters initially thought nothing of it, but after reading the rest of the book and reflecting on it, he found it terrifying.

These disciples of the World-Honored One were more like nourishment or offerings than disciples.

As long as one practices Buddhist methods, one will refine oneself into a part of the World-Honored One, and will also regularly offer one's cultivation to the World-Honored One. The longer one practices, the more one offers.

If it were just about cultivation level, that would be fine; just consider it as paying protection money.

But out of mercy, the World Honored One will take your body and soul as well, calling it "perfect merit".

This is equivalent to saying that any practitioner who cultivates Buddhist practices will eventually become a part of the Buddha.

"A cesspool! A cesspool! A cesspool!! This is clearly a cesspool to me!"

Winters cursed, "What kind of cultivation world is this?"

The cultivation novels he read in his previous life were mostly about underworld cultivation, a group of cultivators deceiving each other, scheming against each other, and fighting for power.

Nothing can compare to the darkness of this cultivation world. Compared to this, that world is truly like paradise.

"Fortunately, there was no one on the way to the Pleiades that I was repairing, otherwise I would definitely have been restrained to death."

Winters breathed a sigh of relief, feeling rather fortunate.

But then things got a little complicated. After realizing the sinister nature of that world, he hesitated, unsure whether he should try to cultivate the Buddhist techniques.

"Let's try with a few kobolds first. Although they are unlikely to be controlled by the World Honored One in this world, it's still best to be careful."

Winters was cautious, after all, he didn't have any cheat codes, like the Two Realms Bead or a system.

If one were to become tainted by the evil aspects of Buddhism, then one would truly become a bald monk's mount.

Without hesitation, Winters flew outside the cave, found the kobold Kru, and instructed him to teach the "Formless Muscle/Tendon Changing Classic" to some strong and healthy kobolds.

The "Formless Muscle/Tendon Changing Classic" is an external martial art that is easy to learn and has no qualification requirements, making it suitable for these physically strong dog-headed people.

The Great Sun Temple Buddhist Scripture is different; it requires extremely high aptitude for cultivation and a constitution that is close to the sun.

In Winters' view, this is equivalent to the original world requiring the talent of a Light Mage, a talent rarely seen in ordinary kobolds.

Winters felt there was still hope of cultivating the Great Sun Earth Buddhist Scripture, since, according to the Green Ox Demon Niu Er, no one in the Buddhist sect was cultivating this technique anymore.

Giving him this book was simply to let him experience the true meaning of Buddhism and read about the superior Buddha-nature within it.

Three days later, under Winters' close supervision, the results came out.

Both of the strong kobolds successfully completed their cultivation, and their mental states remained intact.

Those who successfully cultivated their kobold bodies had a bronze-colored sheen, their strength more than doubled, and what was even more surprising was that their skin became unusually hard.

Winters ordered Kru to lightly slash at the two kobolds with the blade, but found that he couldn't cut through them at all, only leaving white marks on their scales.

Its toughness is like that of decades-old black iron, making it difficult to tear or puncture.

"Is this the Formless Muscle/Tendon Changing Classic?"

Winters examined the two kobolds after they had been trained, but found nothing unusual, so he sent them away.

"It seems this 'Formless Muscle/Tendon Changing Classic' can be practiced!"

"Hmm, it's worth a try!"

Winters read the entire "Formless Muscle/Tendon Changing Classic" and soon understood its principles. Following the illustrations of the Arhats' mounts in the book, he began to cultivate step by step.

An hour later, Winters' crimson scales began to show a slight brassy luster, but this brassy luster was not noticeable unless you looked closely.

"Hmm, finally we've entered the first floor."

Winters meticulously observed the changes in his body after practicing the "Formless Muscle/Tendon Changing Classic".

I can clearly feel that the scales on my surface have become much harder, and my defense has improved.

"Just as Niu Er said, this Wuxiang Yijinjing is for body tempering, which can temper and transform the muscles, bones, skin, internal organs and all other organs of the body."

Unfortunately, the maximum cultivation level is six, which is roughly equivalent to the sixth level of the embryonic breathing stage; it cannot go any higher.

Winters felt a little regretful, but then he thought that it was free, which was already pretty good.

"In that case, there's no need to hesitate!"

Winters no longer hesitated, and picked up another sixth-grade Buddhist cultivation manual: the "Great Sun Earth Buddhist Scripture," opened the book, and began to practice.

The first few pages of the book explain the origin and introduction of this technique.

The Mahavairocana Sutra was written by the Bodhisattva Mahavairocana.

The Dharma form attained by this Bodhisattva is [Fang Ri], which is the manifestation of perfect merit in Buddhism and can be equivalent to the Golden Elixir realm of the Purple Palace Golden Elixir Path.

He was a secular Confucian scholar in his early years, but entered the Taoist path by chance and eventually chose to convert to Buddhism.

It is said that He cultivated all the major traditions of the Sun Dao in his lifetime and was the master of the Sun Dao.

He had dabbled in the [Fang Ri], [Mao Ri], [Xing Ri], and [Xu Ri], but ultimately decided to cultivate the [Fang Ri] path.

According to what He said in the book, this method is His culmination, modeled after the Earth Immortal Method created by Taoist cultivators, and is called Earth Buddha Method.

It can be considered a groundbreaking work, and any monk or cultivator of the Sun Dao lineage can cultivate it.

After reading the introduction and background, Winters read the book carefully once.

I found the book to be full of profound and wonderful words, which eloquently explained the essence of the Way of the Sun and was also rich in Buddhist philosophy.

I read it over and over again, memorizing its contents, before finally putting it down.

"Niu Er wasn't lying to me; this sixth-grade Buddhist Dharma is indeed extraordinary."

Of course, it's still a bit inferior to the eighth-grade immortal technique, the "Sunrise Technique."

Winters began to practice according to this method.

But I got stuck at the first step.

Because the practice of this "Great Sun Earth Buddhist Sutra" requires guidance from a high-ranking monk of the Buddhist Sun Sect to enter the Buddhist Golden Land described in the book.

Only by entering the sacred Buddhist grounds can one cultivate oneself.

Without eminent monks, one cannot enter the sacred Buddhist land; without the sacred Buddhist land, one cannot cultivate oneself.

Winters frowned, lost in thought. It seemed that he really couldn't cultivate anymore.

But Winters was unwilling to give up, so he stared intently at the manual and began to read it, hoping to find some solutions within it.

A moment later, he thought of a sentence at the end of the Fetal Breathing chapter of the Pleiades Method.

【The glorious sun rises, and I alone illuminate it!】

Thinking of this sentence, Winters suddenly understood, and he muttered to himself:

"Why can't I be my own great monk? I can create my own golden land and then cultivate myself!"

"No! There's not even a need to cultivate goldfields..."

Winters realized a brilliant idea, his golden vertical pupils flashing, and he immediately left the dragon's nest.

Spreading its dragon wings, it ascended hundreds of meters into the air, hovering above its territory and looking down at everything below.

"There's one right here!"
