Huayu: The Big Players Behind the Scenes

Faced with Director Zhuang's invitation, these third-tier actors really couldn't refuse and readily agreed.

Even Robert Downey Jr. didn't refuse, probably thinking he could also try to get on board and become a familiar face.

December 9th,

With the World Cup opening and filming commencing, Google sent a message to Chen Shih-Chun, asking him to reconsider.

It didn't matter; Zhuang Huai'an put everything else aside and threw himself into filming.

The filming location is not far from Los Angeles, in a small town called Goman, which has a large number of film studios, including MGM, and is also close to the mountains, so it's quite suitable.

During filming

Departures will be released simultaneously across Asia.

To be honest, this drama is not recommended to pass censorship in the current mainland market, but Professor Xie is a man of principle, a man of principle.

Released without changing a single word.

Because it's a Sino-Japanese co-production, written by Zhuang Huai'an, and directed by the gimmick of Professor Xie, it's a film type that people are relatively wary of.

The box office on its opening day in mainland China was quite good, at 440 million yuan. How much of that was from private screenings is another matter, but this figure is still respectable.

Meanwhile, the summer movie season on the small screen is approaching.

"Soldiers Sortie" was originally bought by Beijing TV, but an unexpected incident occurred. A bigwig from CCTV suddenly stepped in and snatched it from his little brother without paying a penny more.

Because ducks are the first to know when the river warms in spring.

In a speech, the higher authorities for the first time encouraged full-time college students to retain their student status and enlist in the army. As the face of the nation, CCTV naturally responded to the call immediately, wielding the moral cudgel to make its little brother cry in despair.

Without any warning, it was suddenly broadcast on CCTV-1 at 8 pm. The first episode only got a rating of 6. It wasn't until the fourth day, in the seventh episode, when Xu Sanduo was interviewed while repairing the road, that the rating climbed to 13!

Then, when it reached the stage where even the dogs stopped watching, the ratings broke 15, basically securing the title of the best drama of the year.

Even the rebroadcast on Beijing TV the following afternoon maintained a stable rating of 10, and the Xu Sanduo phenomenon swept the nation.

In other words, China still only conducts winter conscription once a year; otherwise, the doors of armed forces departments across the country would be overwhelmed with visitors.

By the end of the month, "Crazy Stone" was released, grossing 310 million yuan on its opening day and 450 million yuan on its second day. For a film that relies solely on its plot and lacks any substantial budget, it was a great success. According to Dao Ge's report, Ning Hao is now walking with a swagger.

Whether Ning Hao is crazy or not is irrelevant, but Kirk went crazy first.

Looking at the numbers in his account and the latest prediction from Zhuang Huai'an, the old man made a bold decision: he would…

Winning at both ends!

Of course, it's about betting on the player and the banker, the banker's banker, huh?

Zhuang Kaixuan: My home? You also want to go up the mountain to cosplay as ginseng?

In July, taking advantage of Ning Hao's lack of energy, Wang Zhiyong seized the opportunity and inserted "Nightclub" into the story.

The opening day box office of 460 million yuan shocked the media, who exclaimed: "Crazy nightclub!"

Wang Jingsong's neurotic performance, which was given a limited-time encore, made the audience completely forget the melancholy man by the sea and remember the humorous moments dominated by the rubber band.

Suddenly, in addition to the title of one of the top five directors in mainland China, the media added the "91 Twin Stars." This was not referring to Ning Hao, but to the "Sleeping Dragon and Phoenix Chicks" who had produced many hit TV series. This title made Ning Hao, who was originally happy, fall into sadness again.

He was also among the first to arrive.

The big screen features Crazy Stone and crazy nightclubs.

On the small screen, "Soldiers Sortie" is far ahead of the competition, and the original cast of "Home with Kids 3" continues the story of the three daughters of the Xia family... cough, the three siblings' mischievous tales. The children's channel is unbeatable.

"My Own Swordsman" took over the time slot of "Soldiers Sortie," but it was only on CCTV-8. Unfortunately, that generation of immature kids hadn't grown up yet, and the ratings barely broke 5, so it could only continue to stagnate.

Seeing the situation was not good, CCTV-8 immediately cut short "Martial Arts" and started airing "Da Ming Dynasty 1566" ahead of schedule. This type of political drama is still popular in the middle-aged and elderly market, and finally reversed the decline, with the ratings once exceeding 10.

Just as Chen Siyu finally breathed a sigh of relief, a sudden change occurred.

The show "My Own Swordsman," which was cut short and moved to the 2 PM slot, saw its ratings surpass 10, leaving many who were expecting to see 91 Company fall from grace completely stunned.

So you were just playing hard to get with us?

Students: I want to control the remote myself!

One group finishes its performance and another takes the stage, turning the entire market into a complete mess. Upon closer inspection, it turns out that they're fighting amongst themselves!

Just kidding~

As time went by, "Departures" was the first film to leave theaters, grossing 1890 million yuan in mainland China, which is in line with the current market. However, it was a hit in the domestic market and also did well in South Korea. The cumulative box office across the three regions was quite good. Since everyone belongs to the Confucian cultural sphere, they can find common ground in this type of etiquette.

The box office in Asia was $900 million, with the majority of the revenue coming from overseas regions.

Following Stone, which grossed 3300 million yuan at the mainland box office, slightly more than the original Track, Nightclub barely broke 3000 million yuan, but its investment was smaller. In fact, the profits of the two are about the same.

This deeply moved Han Sanping, who repeatedly declared in public that a new chapter is about to begin for Chinese-language films!

After shouting this, Lao Han turned around and refused the mainland import of "The Blood Guanyin" and "Zhou Chu Eliminates the Three Evils".

The reason was so compelling that Zhuang Huai'an's pride and dignity were rendered useless for the first time.

You can play by yourselves, I won't participate.

Actually... that makes a lot of sense.

Putting aside the dark, bloody, and violent scenes in these two films, their core content alone is about tearing away certain fig leaves, which is why mainland China dares not import them.

Too sensitive; harmony and stability are the most important.

Wu Dun didn't push it too hard. His ultimate goal was to win awards and enter the overseas market. After being released separately in the three regions, the box office was actually quite good, with "The Bold, the Corrupt, and the Beautiful" taking in 360 million US dollars.

"Zhou Chu Eliminates the Three Evils" was even more impressive, grossing 27 million in Hong Kong, second only to "Fearless" released at the beginning of the year among Chinese-language films. In Taiwan, it took in 1.09 million New Taiwan Dollars, becoming the first local film to gross over 100 million New Taiwan Dollars since the island opened to foreign trade.

Oh right, the first Chinese-language film to gross over 100 million NTD in Taiwan was Zhang Yimou's "Hero," which is truly impressive.

December 9th,

The World Cup has come to an end.

Zidane's spectacular header not only dashed France's hopes of winning the championship but also dashed his chances of becoming the third world number one football legend.

Materazzi's trash talk seemed to have ruined Italy's reputation as a "mini World Cup," and even seemed to have absorbed the luck of Italian football for the next few decades, causing it to fade into obscurity.

Zhuang Huai'an, who watched the entire live broadcast, sighed helplessly. He liked Zidane very much, but he liked Dao Le even more.

There are two biggest victims of this World Cup. Besides Zidane, there is also CCTV host Huang Jianxiang. His statement "He is not fighting alone" made him famous, but also got him fired by CCTV.

There were also two winners: Zhuang Huai'an and Kirk.

The old man is indeed quite shrewd. In the end, he made more money than Zhuang Huai'an. There's nothing we can do about it, after all, he's the American gambling king, while the locals are the ones who profit from both sides.

Zhuang Huai'an, a Chinese man, wouldn't even dare to take action without Kirk's protection. Small-scale skirmishes in Australia were one thing, but in Las Vegas...

Do you really think those big spinach plants are vegetarians?

Looking at the numbers in his Swiss bank account, Zhuang Huai'an felt a sense of satisfaction; he had only ever seen so many zeros in Chengdu.

UBS was still doing well during this period.

Wow, half of YouTube is mine now.
