Lu Yunzhou looked out of the courtyard.

Ning Shuang had already climbed over the first low wall, and her steps did not stop.

"Her target is me."

He took off his headset and threw it on the table: "I'll settle this score myself."

The two were less than three steps apart.

Ning Shuang's face darkened.

This time, she did not retreat further.

The short blade slid out from inside the trench coat, its edge slicing horizontally across Lu Yunzhou's chest.

Lu Yunzhou raised his arm to block, the blade striking the stab-proof vest with a short, metallic sound.

As she landed, she braced herself with one hand and swept the back of her foot towards Lu Yunzhou's calf.

Lu Yunzhou raised his foot to dodge, and when his heel landed, his true energy had already gathered in his palm.

He struck Ning Shuang in the face with his palm.

Ning Shuang crossed her arms to block, but was pushed several meters away, her back hitting the artificial hill.

A rock rolled down and hit her feet.

Her old injury to her left shoulder was aggravated again, and her arm paused for a moment.

Lu Yunzhou seized the opportunity to close in, pressing his fist towards her shoulder.

Ning Shuang raised her elbow to block, but her shoulder bone was still numb from the shock.

She gritted her teeth, turned around using the stone wall as a cover, and moved quickly along the wall.

Taking advantage of the close proximity, she grabbed Lu Yunzhou's arm and pressed her shoulder against his chest.

Lu Yunzhou pressed down with his hand, blocking her legs with his knee, and simultaneously locking her range of motion with both arms.

Ning Shuang's forehead collided with his chin, and she broke free while he relaxed his grip, the blade heading straight for his side.

Lu Yunzhou took a half step back, gripped the back of the blade with his five fingers, and pressed the short blade to the ground.

Ning Shuang stared at his hand, her voice even lower: "There's another reason you're keeping me around."

Lu Yunzhou increased the pressure in his hand, and the short blade sank into the soil.

"Explain the old case clearly."

Ning Shuang did not reply.

She raised her foot and kicked Lu Yunzhou's knee.

Lu Yunzhou raised his leg to block, and the two of them stepped back at the same time.

Just then, the side door of the villa was pushed open.

Ye Zhiwei rushed out of the courtyard, clutching her injured arm, her face even paler than before.

Bai Wantang followed behind her, her shoulder still wrapped in a temporary bandage.

Ye Zhiwei ran to the exhaust vent, removed the black metal box from the outer cover, and pressed the switch.
