Da Bao was listless all day Saturday, unable to muster any energy.

When Nan Zhi and Li Sinian returned home after soaking in the hot spring, they found Da Bao sitting quietly in the corner, head down and not saying a word.

Li Sinian went to the company, leaving only Nan Zhi at home. She squatted down and gently coaxed the child.

Nan Zhi picked up Da Bao and brought Xiao Bao along as well, taking both children to the Dental Clinic for a dental checkup.

Xiao Bao loves eating candy and chocolate, and he always brushes his teeth perfunctorily.

"I brought Xiaobao here to see a dentist," Nan Zhi quickly explained.

Li Sinian half-embraced her as they walked to the car, then scooped Xiao Bao into his arms, parted the little guy's lips to look at his teeth: "You stole candy again? I'll confiscate all of Xiao Bao's candy when we get home."

Upon hearing this, Xiao Bao immediately clung tightly to Li Sinian's arm and shook it back and forth, pouting and whining, "No, Daddy, Xiao Bao wants candy."

Da Bao stood quietly to the side, his little hands clutching Nan Zhi's clothes. He sensed that his father's mood was not right and timidly dared not speak.

Li Sinian glanced down at Da Bao, then turned to look at Nan Zhi, his eyes darkening: "Just to check your teeth?"

Nan Zhi felt uneasy under his gaze, and her eyes darted away slightly.

She responded.

That night, Nan Zhi was tormented again.

She glared at the man angrily and threw the pillow at him: "You petty jerk!"
