Su Weile's name was given to him by his mother, which embodies a mother's most simple and sincere love for her son: she does not ask her child to achieve great success or become rich and powerful, but only hopes that her child will be happy throughout his life.

Su Weile always listened to his mother, even though she hadn't been with him for many years. He still carried his mother's hopes and grew up strong, becoming a sunny and happy young man.

Yanshan is a small city in the north.

Su Weile's father, Su Jun, was a petty hoodlum when he was young. Back then, following your older brother and hanging around in the underworld was a common thing.

Su Jun was handsome and righteous, and was once a well-known "Brother Jun" in Yanshan. But there's a saying in the underworld: what goes around comes around.

In the underworld, fighting and killing are inevitable. Finally, one day, something serious happened. It also coincided with a crackdown, and Su Jun bravely took the blame and went to prison.

After serving more than ten years in prison, the outside world had changed drastically. Fortunately, Su Jun wasn't just a pretty face; he was very intelligent. Together with his former comrades, they started in a car dealership and built their business into a thriving enterprise. Eventually, thanks to the unique geographical location of the Yanshan Mountains, they became incredibly wealthy by leasing entire mountains for mining, transforming themselves into well-known nouveau riche in the region.

Su Jun met his wife shortly after his release from prison, and their journey from acquaintance to love was fraught with obstacles. Su Weile's mother was young and beautiful, and an only child. When her parents learned that their precious daughter had married someone more than ten years older than them and who had served time in prison, they nearly fainted from anger.

Until their wedding, none of the woman's relatives attended. Later, Su Weile's mother had a difficult childbirth and almost lost her life. Blood is thicker than water, and Su Weile's maternal grandparents finally reconciled with their daughter.

But perhaps beauty is fleeting; Su Weile was just starting elementary school when his mother fell seriously ill. Despite Su Jun's best efforts, he couldn't save her life. After his mother's passing, Su Weile received no less love; his father and grandparents showered him with affection. From a young age, he was the family's little prince.

As Su Weile grew older, he looked more and more like his beautiful mother, and was quite handsome. Coupled with his righteous and straightforward personality, he had many friends. In the small Yanshan area, he was practically a prince.

A blue Mercedes-Benz G-Class sped past on the highway. Su Weile drove while dialing Jin Jiajia's number with a furrowed brow.

Jin Jiajia called me late last night. She just kept crying and calling out "Brother Xiao Le." She wouldn't say anything else when asked, she just kept crying. After that, I couldn't get through to her on the phone anymore.

After some back and forth, Su Weile was still worried and drove to Jinhai City that very night. Jin Jiajia was the daughter of Su's father's good brother. The two had grown up together since childhood; they were practically childhood sweethearts. They had even been betrothed as children, but perhaps because they were so familiar with each other, they were more like siblings.

Jin Jiajia also has an older brother named Jin Yi, who is ten years older than both Su Weile and Jin Jiajia. Perhaps because of the significant age difference, Jin Jiajia is not as close to her older brother as she is to Su Weile.

Su Weile glanced at the time; it was six in the morning. She called her grandparents, and as soon as the call connected, her grandmother's loving voice came through, "Lele, why are you up so early?"

Su Weile's lips unconsciously curled up. "Grandma, you and Grandpa are back from your workout? I won't be coming over for dinner today, I'm going out for a bit."

Grandma's surprised voice came through the phone, "Going out? Where are you going? Why so suddenly? Lele, when are you coming back?"

"Grandma, I'm going to Jinhai to see Jiajia, and then I'll go to Uncle's house for a few days. Don't worry, I'll take good care of myself. You and Grandpa, be good, I'll bring you some delicious food when I come back!! Be a good girl~"

Grandma laughed happily, "You rascal, you should be good! You just leave like that without even saying goodbye. And Jiajia too, instead of staying home, she insists on going to Jinhai to be some kind of star. Is Jinhai such a big city such a good place to stay? Anyone can become a star!"

Upon hearing this, Su Weile knew her grandmother was about to start nagging again, so she quickly interrupted her, "Yes, yes, that girl is such a worry. I'll give her a good talking to when I see her. Grandma, I'm getting off the highway now, I'm not talking to you anymore."

"Okay, okay, stop talking. You can't talk on the phone while driving. Let's hang up. Lele, please be careful."

Upon arriving in Jinhai City, Su Weile went directly to the agency where Jin Jiajia had previously worked. Just as she parked her car in the underground parking lot, she saw a well-dressed, wealthy woman angrily step out of a luxury sedan.

She stood straight in the middle of the parking lot, looking at the man walking towards her.

From Su Weile's angle, she could only see the man's profile, a very handsome one, and he was quite tall. The wealthy woman had to raise her head to speak as she approached him.

The wealthy woman was speaking excitedly, while the man seemed to remain silent. Su Weile thought she could see him smiling slightly, as the corners of his mouth were turned up.

Finally, the man spoke, seemingly uttering only a short sentence. Su Weile saw the wealthy woman stiffen for a moment, and then, quite suddenly, she raised her hand and slapped the man across the face.

Although Su Weile couldn't hear anything, she was still startled. The man's face turned to the side, directly in Su Weile's direction.

Then, the man slowly raised his eyes, his expression still smiling. He looked directly at Su Weile in the car.

Su Weile felt frozen in her seat, unable to move, by that face and those eyes. The two of them just stared at each other. Su Weile was shocked; that face was just too beautiful.

When Su Weile came to her senses, she found that the wealthy woman's car had already driven away. The man was still smiling at her.

Su Weile cleared her throat awkwardly and got out of the car. She smiled at the man and said, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to see that. But my car is well soundproofed, so I didn't hear your conversation."

The man looked at Su Weile and asked, "An artist from your company?"

Su Weile was stunned for a moment before she realized, "Oh, no, I'm here to find someone."

The man smiled and nodded. Without saying anything, he turned to leave.

Seeing that the man was about to leave, Su Weile immediately followed him. "Hello, my name is Su Weile."

The man said "Hello" without even looking up.

Su Weile sensed the man's indifference and assumed he was embarrassed because she had witnessed him being slapped.

"Was that your mother just now? Or some other elder? It's not shameful to be hit by an elder in your family; they're just trying to do what's best for you. My dad beats me all the time."

To comfort him, Su Weile deliberately lied. At home, Su Jun had never laid a finger on him, partly because he genuinely loved his only son, and partly because Su Weile's maternal grandparents protected him; Su Jun truly wouldn't dare. Especially after Su Weile's mother passed away. He hadn't even uttered a harsh word to Su Weile.

The man looked up at Su Weile and gave a cold laugh. He said to Su Weile, "If you're looking for someone, go ask at the front desk over there."

Su Weile smiled and said, "Oh, okay, thank you, then you~~~~" Before she could finish speaking, she saw the man already walking in the opposite direction.
