We agreed it was just a hug, why did you actually do it?

Chapter 100 Tang Shao Gives the Zhao Family Two Choices

The next day, before Su Weile had even gotten out of bed, Uncle Xu called softly from the doorway, "Young Master, Young Master, Madam and Miss Zhao have arrived."

Tang Shaowu, dressed in his pajamas, sat next to the sleeping Su Weile, looking at the financial statements on the computer.

Hearing the sound, he covered Su Weile's ears with his hands and asked, "How did you find this place?"

Old Xu, speaking softly from the doorway, said, "The bodyguard said it seems to have been brought over in a car belonging to the Tang family."

Tang Shaowu chuckled and then said, "Let them in. Wait for them in the pavilion by the pond."

Then Tang Shaowu slowly bent down, kissed Su Weile on the forehead, and stroked the ends of his hair.

Finally, he took a cushion and placed it in Su Weile's arms, and immediately hugged Su Weile upon seeing her.

Tang Shaowu stared at the cushion for a full two minutes before suddenly stepping forward and pulling it away.

Then he left the master bedroom.

When Su Weile woke up, he called out Tang Shaowu's name twice. Usually, Tang Shaowu wouldn't leave the room before Su Weile woke up.

Su Weile suddenly woke up, worried that he might have a headache. She glanced into the bathroom and saw that no one was there.

She put on her pajamas and went straight outside.

Linglong Garden has always been quiet and secluded, so when Su Weile saw two women standing in the pavilion, he subconsciously stopped in his tracks. Just as he was about to quietly slip away, he suddenly saw the two women kneel down in front of Tang Shaowu.

From the angle from which Su Weile was standing, the sculpture in the pond obscured Tang Shaowu's face, so he couldn't see his expression or hear his voice.

All that could be seen was Tang Shaowu sitting in his seat, motionless, and the faint sounds of two women crying could be heard.

Su Weile stared blankly, unsure of what to do, when suddenly Old Xu's voice sounded behind him, very softly, "Young Master Su, please come with me to the restaurant for dinner."

Su Weile paused for a moment and said, "Them?"

Old Xu said, "Young Master Su, the young master will handle it properly, so please don't worry."

Just as Su Weile was about to leave, she suddenly saw the young girl turn her head and their eyes meet.

Su Weile glanced at the girl, then turned and left. He didn't know much about the grudges between Tang Shaowu and them, nor did he want to.

Tang Shaowu manages such a large enterprise, and the intricacies involved are not something an outsider like him can easily unravel.

He's not the type to immediately assume someone is a weakling in need of sympathy and protection just because he sees them kneeling.

He was well aware that many things cannot be viewed from only one perspective.

Inside the pavilion, Tang Shaowu looked at the two people kneeling in front of him, his expression unchanged. He smiled faintly, lowered his head, and gently stroked the wrist of his other hand with his thumb.

Tang Shaowu looked up and glanced towards the master bedroom.

When he spoke again, his tone was still devoid of any warmth.

"Mrs. Zhao, you don't need to do this. No matter how much conflict I have with the Zhao family, it won't affect you in the slightest."

As the eldest wife of the Zhao family, you have neither real power nor any dividends.

Now that something has happened, your husband wants you to come to me.

You probably already know why, right?

Over the years, I have always remembered my friendship with your son, so I have been helping the Zhao family.

But now it seems your husband doesn't appreciate it.

My relationship with the Tang family is common knowledge. Do you think I would tolerate the Zhao family's actions? Madam, you overestimate my magnanimity.

The cold words chilled everyone around them, and Mrs. Zhao unconsciously pulled her cloak tighter around herself.

Her lips trembled uncontrollably. This man's coldness was chilling.

Her bright red lips trembled. "Young Master Tang... after all, we were husband and wife. I just want to beg you, please spare his life, spare the Zhao family's life... just consider it... just consider it... you."

Tang Shaowu's cold voice interrupted her, "Mrs. Zhao, you are neither a threat nor of value to me. You have no right to choose with me, but I will still give you two choices."

First, I'll let your husband off the hook; I'll pretend I didn't know about his collusion with Tang to frame me behind my back.

But I want all the remaining shares of the Zhao family that you own. I will acquire them from you at the highest market value.

But from now on, you will probably have no status or value in the Zhao family.

Secondly, I'll pretend you were never here, and you shouldn't keep going back and forth between various families for the sake of the Zhao family. Especially, don't use past relationships to disturb the peace of the Yan family patriarch. Once everything settles down, I can send you abroad to reunite with your son.

Then came a long silence, so quiet that people seemed to stand still. This strange, yet seemingly natural, scene of one sitting and two kneeling figures was like a painting.

After a long while, Tang Shaowu chuckled and said, "Is it that hard to decide? Then let me give you some reference materials." Tang Shaowu stretched out his hand, and the bodyguard behind him came up and handed him a file bag.

Tang Shaowu stood up, took the file bag, walked to the stone table two steps away from Madam Zhao, and gently placed the file bag there.

Looking at the person on the ground, he said, "Please take a look at the contents yourself. Excuse me."

Tang Shaowu walked straight to the restaurant. He had just seen a furry head peering out of the restaurant window, which must be getting hungry and impatient.

As soon as Tang Shaowu entered the restaurant, Su Weile shouted, "I'm starving! Hurry up!"

Tang Shaowu approached and saw several pastries on Su Weile's plate that had been bitten, and the corners of his mouth unconsciously turned up.

Su Weile wasn't embarrassed at all, and said shamelessly

"I'm tasting the dishes for you. I already know which ones taste good. Sit down, I'll get them for you."
