We agreed it was just a hug, why did you actually do it?
Chapter 7 The Apology That's Coming
Su Weile felt flustered under Tang Shaowu's gaze, blinking nervously as if she didn't know what to do.
Feng Kai walked over, patted him on the shoulder, and said, "Little brother, you eat first. Young Master Tang probably can't eat anything too cold yet. Let him eat first."
Su Weile immediately nodded and said, "Oh, that's right, eating cold food is definitely not good. You eat your food, I've put the ice cream in the freezer first, just let me know when you want some and I'll get it for you."
Feng Kai watched Su Weile's retreating figure, feeling a pang of unease. He sensed she was an overly kind and unguarded child.
Just as he was about to say something more, he turned around and saw Tang Shaowu staring at him with that familiar smile. Feng Kai felt a chill run down his spine. He silently cursed in his mind, but ultimately remained silent.
He thought that Tang Shaowu was a recluse, and he would want to kill anyone who got close to him. So he probably wouldn't tolerate Su Weile hanging around him for too long. He was probably just in a bad mood, and he'd probably calm down in a couple of days.
The more he spoke up for Su Weile at this moment, the more Tang Shaowu would rebel, so he simply stopped talking.
When Su Weile returned from washing her hands in the bathroom, she saw that only Tang Shaowu was quietly eating breakfast in the room. The morning sunlight shone on Tang Shaowu's face, giving the distinguished man a warm, defined outline.
Looking at the scene, Su Weile thought, "Sure enough, even eating breakfast looks so good on a handsome man. So elegant."
"Young Master Tang, have they all left?" Su Weile asked casually.
Tang Shaowu ate his meal slowly without saying a word.
"Young Master Tang, I want to talk to you about something."
Tang Shaowu put a piece of fresh fish into his mouth and chewed it slowly, displaying an elegant demeanor.
Seeing that Tang Shaowu wasn't going to pay him any attention, Su Weile simply pulled up a chair and sat down next to him, watching him eat without saying a word.
As I watched, I couldn't help but swallow hard. Damn, I'm so hungry.
Su Weile glanced back at the breakfast she had brought. It seemed that Tang Shaowu definitely wouldn't eat it, so she simply took it herself, put it on the table, and started eating by herself.
She had just delivered breakfast to Jiajia and was in a rush to buy breakfast for Tang Shaowu, so she hadn't even had a chance to eat anything herself. Now she realized she was incredibly hungry. She hadn't eaten anything all day yesterday either. The first bite of the steamed bun made Su Weile feel her stomach cramp.
Because the hospital tables weren't very big, the two of them were naturally very close, making it impossible for Su Weile not to notice the person opposite her. So, she naturally noticed that since she sat down at the table, Tang Shaowu hadn't eaten any more breakfast. Eventually, he simply put down his chopsticks silently.
Su Weile couldn't help but wonder: Could it be that bad? Even if I don't eat as elegantly as Tang Shaowu, my eating manners aren't that bad, are they? Is it really to the point of affecting other people's meals?
Su Weile put another small steamed bun into her mouth, chewing it while looking up at the person opposite her.
The moment Su Weile looked up, a handsome smile appeared on Tang Shaowu's face.
Su Weile was initially angry because of Tang Shaowu's attitude, but as soon as she saw Tang Shaowu's smile, she found that she really had no temper at all.
After taking a sip of water, Su Weile broke the silence first, "Are you full?"
Tang Shaowu wiped his hands with a tissue while smiling and asking, "What were you trying to say?"
Su Weile cleared her throat, straightened her posture, looked into Tang Shaowu's eyes, and said seriously, "Young Master Tang, you should apologize to me."
Tang Shaowu paused for a moment, then immediately smiled and said, "Apologize?"
Su Weile thought for a moment and said, "Yes! Apologize, but not to me, but to Jin Jiajia. Because of your harsh words yesterday. You shouldn't have insulted her like that."
Tang Shaowu's smile deepened. "Extreme language?? Insults?"
Su Weile's beautiful eyes were filled with utmost seriousness. "You shouldn't have said those things to her yesterday. Those words were too hurtful. If you hadn't said them, I wouldn't have pushed you."
Tang Shaowu's tone remained calm. "You went to Jin Jiajia's this morning, right? Did you ask her about what happened?"
Su Weile's face flushed involuntarily, and she frowned slightly, saying, "How can I ask her this? She's still sick. How can she possibly handle bringing up something like this? Besides, I can't bring myself to ask her."
Su Weile glanced at Tang Shaowu and continued, "Besides, there's no need to ask. Jiajia and I grew up together. I know her better than anyone. She's definitely not the kind of person you're talking about. She must have been bullied. I can't let her be bullied for nothing."
Hearing Su Weile's words, a hint of ruthlessness flashed in Tang Shaowu's eyes, but it was quickly masked by a smile. Tang Shaowu's slender fingers tapped lightly on the armrest of his wheelchair. "Alright, I understand. I apologize for my harsh words yesterday. Perhaps Jin Jiajia really is an innocent victim."
Su Weile completely missed the sarcasm in Tang Shaowu's words. Upon hearing his apology, she immediately accepted it with a smile. She felt relieved; she thought, "I knew Tang Shaowu was a good person. He must have been in a bad mood yesterday to say those things."
Looking at his unsuspecting expression, Tang Shaowu asked casually, "You said you can't just let people bully Jin Jiajia like that, so what do you plan to do?"
Su Weile felt that her thoughts were perfectly aboveboard and there was nothing to hide.
He said directly, "Of course, it's to find the person who bullied her! Although I don't know who that person is, Xue Bing definitely does, so I have to go find Xue Bing. This time, you're not allowed to stop me, understand?"
At this point, Su Weile belatedly asked, "By the way, what's your relationship with Xue Bing? Are you friends? I saw you at the agency yesterday, and you said you were looking for someone. Were you looking for him?"
Tang Shaowu said softly, "I am going to see him, but I am not his friend. In terms of relationship, we are probably superior and subordinate."
Su Weile recalled yesterday's events; it seemed Xue Bing listened to Tang Shaowu very well, to the point of being extremely respectful. "Are you Xue Bing's superior?"
Tang Shaowu nodded. "You could say that."
"Do you know anything about Jin Jiajia?"
Tang Shaowu sincerely said, "I didn't know earlier than you. There are many artists in the company, and they won't tell me everything. They can handle many things on their own."
Su Weile had no suspicions and thought for a moment before saying, "Then will you help me? Will you help me ask Xue Bing about Jin Jiajia? If it's difficult, then forget it, I'll ask him myself."
Tang Shaowu smiled and said, "No problem, I'll ask for you."
Su Weile immediately smiled, her eyes crinkling, "Really? Young Master Tang, you're so kind~ Thank you!"
