Ms. Gojo thought she was dating an ordinary person's boyfriend.
Chapter 47 "The Most Special Person"
Gojo Satoru sat on a low stool.
The stool was clearly too small for him. With such a tall person sitting on it, there was nowhere to put his legs; he could only stretch them out to the side.
But he didn't look embarrassed at all; on the contrary, it was as if he was born to turn any inappropriate scene into his own background.
The white hair looked soft and bright under the light.
The sunglasses perched on the bridge of her nose, partially obscuring her eyes, but unable to hide her excessively beautiful face.
Miyazawa Chinatsu has seen many good-looking people.
The hospital was bustling with all sorts of people: family members, volunteers, doctors, and occasionally, celebrities who came to film public service announcements.
Beautiful people are not uncommon.
But Gojo's beauty is different.
He wasn't the kind of good-looking man who was easy to approach. On the contrary, his features were too delicate, his face too clean-cut, and his white hair made him seem almost unreal.
There's always a sense of distance between them.
Ironically, he was sitting among a group of children, bending over and patiently teaching a little boy how to perform a combo.
"Here, you don't have to keep pressing."
Gojo Satoru reached out and, with his fingertips just a short distance away, tapped a button on the controller.
"Wait until it jumps up before pressing the button. Pressing it too early will result in an empty button."
The little boy nodded nervously.
"so?"
The character on the screen jumped up and then fell down.
Gojo Satoru sighed dramatically.
"It was so close!"
The little boy immediately said, "One more time!"
"Of course," Gojo Satoru said with a smile, "challengers can't give up so easily."
Several children nearby also shouted, "One more time!"
He brought a light and cheerful atmosphere to the activity room.
Miyazawa Chinatsu looked at it for a moment, then looked at Kikkawa Sumi.
Sumire Kawakawa is still watching Gojo Satoru.
Whenever he has nothing to do, he will look over there every now and then.
Miyazawa Chinatsu suddenly spoke up: "Dr. Kikawa."
Sumi Kichikawa snapped out of her daze: "Hmm?"
"I've worked here for so many years," she said, looking at Sumi Kichikawa's somewhat bewildered face, her tone slightly teasing but quickly turning serious, "and this is the first time I've ever seen you stare at someone so intently."
Kikawa Sumi's fingers tightened almost imperceptibly for a moment as she held the pen, the tip leaving a tiny ink dot on the list.
His eyelashes drooped slightly, and he didn't reply immediately.
"...Is that so?" He responded softly after a moment.
"Mmm." Miyazawa Chinatsu's voice was extremely soft, as if afraid of disturbing something.
"We've known each other for quite a while, but sometimes... I feel like I'm looking at you through a layer of fog." She paused, her gaze lingering for a moment on his calm, expressionless face.
"It seems like all the countless people coming and going here are pretty much the same to you, nothing that can make you linger. But today is different..."
Her gaze shifted to the dazzling, tall figure surrounded by children not far away, then slowly returned to Kikawa Sumi's face, her tone softening.
"He must be very special to you, right?"
Sumire Kawakawa finally put down her pen.
He didn't look up immediately; his gaze seemed to still be fixed on the ink spots on the paper.
After a brief silence, he slowly raised his eyes and looked at the center of the commotion.
Gojo Satoru was squatting there, his white hair almost transparent in the light. He was gesturing something, which made the children burst into laughter.
The person's snow-white figure, like the first snowflake falling in early winter, quietly rested in his deep, pool-like eyes.
A touch of pure white melted into my eyes, and the calm, still water finally began to ripple.
He withdrew his gaze and turned back to face Miyazawa Chinatsu. A gentle smile, almost serene, appeared on his face.
Kikawa Sumi's voice was deep and clear, each word carrying a heavy weight.
"To me, he..."
He seemed to be searching for the most suitable word, but in the end he just smiled again, a smile brimming with unspoken respect.
"He is the most special person."
Miyazawa Chinatsu was stunned by his first display of sincerity. Just as she was about to say something, a small cheer suddenly came from the gaming area.
"We won!"
The little boy finally passed the test and was so happy he almost jumped off his chair.
Gojo Satoru raised his hand and gave him a high five.
"very good."
The little boy rushed up to Sumi Kichikawa with the game ticket in his hand.
"Dr. Kikawa! I won!"
Sumi Kichikawa glanced down at his grades.
"Yes, you passed the test."
He picked up the bear stamp and stamped a clear mark on the game ticket.
The little boy looked at the seal with sparkling eyes.
"Can I take the stickers?"
"Sure. One regular sticker."
"Is a white cat okay?"
Sumire Kichikawa paused.
Gojo Satoru, who was adjusting the controller on the side, immediately looked up and gave a thumbs up when he heard this.
"The child has excellent taste."
Sumire Kikawa looked at the prize box.
White cat stickers are very popular today.
The kitten, wearing sunglasses and sitting arrogantly, does indeed resemble someone.
The little boy pointed at the sticker, his eyes filled with anticipation: "I want this!"
Kikawa Sumi took out a card and handed it to him.
Gojo Satoru let out a soft "Ah" from the side.
Sumire Kawakawa looked at him.
Gojo Satoru said in a serious tone, "Those are my kind."
"It would be sad if Gojo-sensei were taken away."
Sumire looked at him for a while, then picked up another ordinary star sticker from the side and stuck it on the back of Gojo Satoru's hand.
"compensate."
Gojo Satoru looked down at the stars on the back of his hand.
Several children immediately gathered around.
"Me too!"
"I want one too!"
"I want to have stars like my brother!"
Gojo Satoru raised his hand and proudly showed it off.
"This is a special reward just for me."
The children didn't understand, but they still thought it was amazing.
Miyazawa Chinatsu stood by and watched the whole thing.
Fujii Makoto walked over with the spare battery and said in a low voice, "Are these two always like this?"
Chinatsu Miyazawa said, "Actually, this is the first time I've met you today too."
Makoto Fujii: "It doesn't look like the first time."
Miyazawa Chinatsu chuckled softly.
"Right?"
Fujii Makoto looked at Gojo Satoru.
Gojo Satoru looked down at the star stickers on the back of his hand, his smile obviously excessive.
It's just a star sticker.
Makoto Fujii has been repairing game consoles for so many years and has seen many children happy for a rare card or a limited edition badge. But it's still quite rare to see an adult man so happy for a regular star sticker.
In particular, this adult male who looks like him will appear on the GG card.
Fujii Makoto clicked his tongue.
"Kichikawa is a friend who's easy to please."
Miyazawa Chinatsu said softly, "It's not necessarily true that anyone is easy to coax."
Fujii Makoto glanced at her.
The two tacitly agreed not to say anything more.
The gaming area is becoming increasingly lively.
Gojo Satoru quickly grasped the rhythm of the activity.
He was better at dealing with children than Miyazawa Chinatsu had expected.
A little girl's eyes reddened after she lost, and she gripped the controller tightly without saying a word.
The family members standing nearby were a little embarrassed and were about to take her away when Gojo Satoru bent down first.
"etc."
The little girl had her head down.
Gojo Satoru placed the handle on his knees and looked at her very seriously.
"That last jump you made was actually really impressive."
The little girl sniffed.
"But I lost."
"Because I've played for many more years than you," Gojo Satoru said matter-of-factly. "If I've played for so many years and still lose to someone who's only challenging me for the first time, Gojo-sensei will lose face."
The little girl looked up at him.
"Really?"
"Really." Gojo Satoru pointed to the screen. "And you dodged three traps before me, while the guy in line only dodged two."
The little boy who had spoken earlier immediately retorted, "Next time I can dodge three!"
Gojo Satoru said with a smile, "Then let's challenge each other next time."
The little girl's attention was somewhat diverted.
Gojo Satoru picked up a regular practice ticket from next to the prize box and handed it to her.
"Here, take this."
The little girl looked at the coupon and asked, "What's this?"
"Revenge Ticket".
Sumi Kichikawa corrected from the side: "Practice ticket."
Gojo Satoru turned his head: "Revenge sounds cooler."
Sumi Kikawa said, "It is not recommended to use this word in children's activities."
Gojo Satoru blinked, seemingly agreeing with the idea, and then he thought about it.
"That's called a re-challenge ticket."
Sumire Kawakawa nodded: "Okay."
The little girl finally smiled happily.
"Then I'll come back later."
"Very good," said Gojo Satoru. "You'll be even stronger next time."
The family members breathed a sigh of relief and whispered their thanks to Gojo Satoru.
Gojo Satoru waved his hand, watching the little girl being led away by her parents, before turning to Sumi Kichikawa for praise: "Dr. Sumi, how did I handle this?"
Sumire Kichikawa was stamping the voucher again.
"very good."
Gojo Satoru laughed.
"Is there a reward?"
Sumi Kichikawa glanced at the star sticker on the back of his hand.
"It's already been given."
"That was from just now."
"Today's reward cannot be overdrawn."
"Ah~"
Kikawa Sumi handed the stamped practice ticket to the little girl, then looked up at Gojo Satoru.
"But you can keep accounts."
Gojo Satoru was taken aback, but the smile on his face became even more pronounced the next moment.
"Bookkeeping?"
"Um."
"Will you settle the bill at dinner time?"
"It depends on their performance."
Gojo Satoru leaned back in his chair and drawled, "Dr. Kosuke is really good at motivating volunteers."
Kikawa Sumi lowered her head and tidied the seal box without saying a word.
