As they spoke, the three of them arrived at the barbecue shed near the lake. Three long tables were put together, and bowls, chopsticks, drinks, seasonal fruits, and several plates of delicate cold dishes were already laid out on them. In the middle, a pot of delicious black-boned chicken and mushroom soup was bubbling. Various marinated meat skewers and vegetables were neatly arranged on the counter next to the grill, waiting for the charcoal fire to heat up.

Wang Bo placed the enamel basin on the table and proudly introduced, "This is my cousin's shop. If you two are craving barbecue, feel free to come here. Just mention my name, and you'll get a discount."

Upon hearing this, Ning Xiaojun glanced at him sideways and retorted without hesitation, "Wang Bo, are you this generous to everyone? If you keep offering discounts like this, how is the boss supposed to make a living?"

Wang Bo waved his hand dismissively and said with a grin, "How much can a girl like you eat? No matter how you calculate it, the boss won't lose money, so don't worry about it."

Ning Xiaojun stopped joking with him: "Alright, is everyone here? When do we start grilling?"

"Everyone's here, just waiting for you all to gather around," Wang Bo said, looking around.

"Why don't we start grilling it first? Then they can eat it right away when they arrive," Su Fengnan suggested.

"Okay, whatever you say." Wang Bo nodded and turned to get the beer.

So, Su Fengnan and Ning Xiaojun immediately got to work. The grill was quickly filled with chicken legs, wings, sausages, ribs, and other meats, sizzling with oil. Su Fengnan skillfully brushed on the oil and seasonings, while Ning Xiaojun focused intently on flipping the meat. Their teamwork was seamless and perfectly synchronized.

As soon as the first batch of meat skewers was served, an irresistible aroma filled the air, making everyone's mouths water.

Next, the two grilled two plates of tofu—a famous local snack from Su Fengnan's hometown; no barbecue is complete without tofu. After the tofu, several marinated fish were also put on the fire and grilled until golden brown and crispy. By then, the previously empty tables and chairs were full of people.

In addition to the dozen or so classmates in his class, Wang Bo also invited several friends from other classes, making a total of about twenty people, both men and women.

Wang Bo invited everyone to sit down. Su Fengnan had just finished grilling the last fish and brought it to the table before handing the seat back to the barbecue chef. She then sat down herself and casually hung her backpack on the back of the chair.

Looking at the table full of delicious food, the students couldn't contain their excitement.

"Wow! Wang Bo, you've really gone all out today! We have to eat our fill!" one of the boys exclaimed.

"Wang Bo, congratulations on coming of age! From today onwards, you can do all the 'bad things' you're supposed to do."

"Just food isn't enough, what about alcohol?"

"Don't worry, there's plenty!" Wang Boli opened a case of beer as he landed, and several boys helped distribute it, placing a can in front of each of them.

The atmosphere was instantly ignited by the boys' cheers. Everyone raised their glasses and shouted "Happy Birthday Wang Bo" in unison, before starting to enjoy their meal.

"Hey, hey, stop for a second, let me say a few words." Wang Bo stood up, smiling, and gestured for them to stop. "We'll have barbecue for lunch first, then you can do whatever you want around here—take pictures, fly kites, ride bikes, go fishing, anything. If you're worried about the sun, you can go to karaoke downstairs. We'll be back for dinner at four in the afternoon, and nobody's allowed to leave early!"

The male students started making noise together, and the scene immediately became lively.

"Wow!" Cheers and whistles rose and fell, making the scene even more lively.

Su Fengnan took a few bites and then got up to help the barbecue chef. After all, for this kind of gathering, eating freshly grilled food creates the best atmosphere.

The boys were clinking glasses and exchanging toasts, while the girls were mostly drinking soft drinks, with few actually consuming alcohol.

The food on the table was gradually running low, and Su Fengnan brought out two more plates of freshly roasted meat. She spent almost the entire lunch break serving everyone.

Liu Tao quietly turned his head, leaned closer to Ye Hua on his right, and whispered, "Look at Su Fengnan, she's beautiful and hardworking. Brother Ye, aren't you going to make a move?"

"Shut up." Ye Hua picked up his water glass and took a sip. His tone was calm, but his eyes held a warning. "Don't even think about her."

"How could I dare? You've already ruined her luck with men, how could I possibly steal her away from you?" Liu Tao scratched the back of his head, looking helpless.

Ye Hua glared at Liu Tao, put down her cup, and her gaze involuntarily drifted towards Su Fengnan. She had to admit that Su Fengnan's face was indeed very beautiful, and her figure was curvaceous. The same t-shirt and jeans looked completely different on her. For some reason, she seemed to look even better than usual today.

Today is Saturday. Everyone knows there are no classes, and no one is in a hurry to go home. They eat slowly and leisurely, spending most of the time talking and chatting.

The barbecue lasted for over an hour before ending. A few girls went cycling and taking photos, and several boys volunteered to be their protectors and went along; a few others who wanted to go fishing also found their partners. The crowd dispersed in twos and threes, each arranging their own activities.

"Susu, do you want to go out and play?" Ning Xiaojun asked.

Su Fengnan shook her head and said lazily, "It's too sunny, I want to take a nap."

"Let's go in and take a look." Ning Xiaojun picked up her schoolbag.

The two walked into the small building, which was quite spacious, with several private rooms, all designed for grilling and eating at the same time.

When the owner saw guests come in and learned that the two young girls wanted to rest, he kindly arranged for them to go to a quiet lounge on the second floor.

So the two of them took a nap without a care in the world, so much so that when their classmates outside were looking for them to take pictures, they were all turned upside down.

Ye Hua was also fishing, his fishing rod motionless, but his eyes kept unconsciously searching for Su Fengnan's figure. Not seeing her, he felt a strange emptiness in his heart.

It wasn't until Su Fengnan woke up and went to the bathroom that she was told that a classmate had been looking for them.

She had a nightmare last night and didn't sleep well. After sleeping for forty minutes, she felt much more awake. After waking Ning Xiaojun, the two strolled to the lakeside and saw Wang Bo, Ye Hua, and a few other boys fishing.

On the lawn not far away, Liu Tao was playing and frolicking with Lu Yao and the others.

"Wang Bo, the boss said that if you catch any fish, he can help process them tonight," Ning Xiaojun said as she ran to Wang Bo's side.

Wang Bo raised his index finger in a "shh" gesture, and Ning Xiaojun immediately understood and fell silent.

Su Fengnan found a spot to sit down and quietly watched them fish.

Noticing Su Fengnan and Ning Xiaojun's arrival, Ye Hua was secretly delighted, occasionally glancing at Su Fengnan under the guise of adjusting the fishing line. She was sitting on the lawn, gazing absently at the lake. Ye Hua noticed that Su Fengnan often seemed to be lost in thought like this, rarely speaking, and it was unclear what she was pondering.

On a whim, he handed the fishing rod to someone else, stood up, and walked over to Ning Xiaojun: "Hey, Ning Xiaojun, want to go ride bikes with them and take pictures?"

"Oh? Sure!" Ning Xiaojun perked up at the suggestion.

"Let's go then." Ye Hua pointed in the direction where the bicycles were parked.

"Wait a minute, I'll call Su Fengnan along."

"Then hurry up, I'll wait for you over there." Ye Hua smiled casually, then turned and left.

"Su Su, let's go! Let's go for a bike ride and take some photos!" Ning Xiaojun rushed over, grabbed Su Fengnan's wrist, and pulled her up from the ground without saying a word.

"Ah... okay," Su Fengnan was taken aback at first, then smiled and obediently stood up. "Who else wants to come?"

"Ye Hua and the others are already waiting by the roadside," Ning Xiaojun said, pulling her along quickly towards the roadside.
