The noise in the classroom gradually increased again.

The buzzing of the hot glue gun intensified again, the snip of scissors cutting paper became more rapid, and the noise of children and the hushed conversations of parents rose and fell.

The smell of glue and crayons in the air grew stronger, mixed with the dry, warm air from the central air conditioning, creating a sticky yet cozy atmosphere in the classroom.

The parents and children at the other tables were also in a heated discussion.

On the table in front of each family member were piles of nearly completed works and scattered fragments of materials.

Some of the children who couldn't sit still had already stood up and started running around the table.

Mu Chenfeng and his family of three were showing off their skills next to Xiaodouzi.

Fu Ping, holding a glue gun in one hand and scissors in the other, directed Mu Chenfeng to cut cardstock and mold modeling clay, speaking rapidly and decisively.

"Make the curve of that slide base a little wider, yes, tilt it a bit more to the left..."

Duoduo continued poking at the felt figure beside her, her needle piercing the felt in front of her again and again, her mouth never stopping.

She would occasionally look up at her parents and offer a few words of guidance:

"Dad, your slide is crooked!"

"Mom! Our Ferris wheel is missing a cabin!"

Mu Chenfeng sat next to her, a thin layer of sweat beading on his forehead, glistening faintly under the lamplight.

He had already ruined three sheets of cardstock in his hand, and this was the fourth one. He finally got the hang of it, and a Ferris wheel support that was barely acceptable was finally taking shape.

With a sigh of relief, Mu Chenfeng picked up the stand, examined it, and placed it on the table with satisfaction.

Fu Ping smiled and picked up the small cockpits that had already been made, hanging them up one by one.

They built an amusement park.

The family of three further ahead runs a farmhouse.

The roof of the cardboard house was covered with a layer of felt and straw, which hung down from the eaves.

Several chicks and ducklings made of super light clay stood in the yard, their bright yellow bodies and orange beaks huddled together, looking incredibly lifelike.

Beside the courtyard wall, there was a crooked tree with pipe cleaners wrapped around it, and a few small green felt leaves were stuck to its crown, trembling slightly in the air conditioning breeze.

The shop in the back corner is decorated with a large ship.

A mineral water bottle lay horizontally to serve as the hull of a boat, with two rows of windows cut out of white paper pasted crookedly on either side, each window outlined in black marker.

Two masts made of straws stood at one end of the boat, with a sail made of off-white cloth hanging on them. In the center of the sail was a large character "帅" (shuai, meaning handsome/handsome).

The bottom of the boat was decorated with blue cardstock cut out ocean waves, supporting the bottle wave after wave.

……

The snip of scissors, the soft thud of a glue gun being put down on the table, the giggles of children, the hushed conversations of parents...

All the sounds overlapped, floating warmly in the afternoon sunlight.

The smell of glue in the air was stronger, mixed with the smell left by the repeated application of crayons, filling every corner of the classroom.

A wisp of wind occasionally squeezed in through the window, stirring the thick air slightly before returning it to its original state.

Teacher Su continued to move between the tables, occasionally squatting down to examine a particular artwork closely, and bending down to say a word to a child.

Lin Ye trimmed the edges of the pet park's base neatly, and then used the remaining pipe cleaners to trim a blue border around the entire base, using it as a light strip corridor around the venue.

After finishing everything, Lin Ye examined the completed work in front of him.

The base of the pet park is a large piece of cardboard with a ring of blue pipe cleaners around the edge.

Inside the enclosure were a light brown dwarf sheep and a white alpaca. The alpaca's head was slightly tilted forward, as if it were looking at something outside the enclosure.

Outside the fence, the area was divided into several sections, separated by small walls made of felt.

On each wall, there was a small label made of white cardstock with Xiao Douzi's slightly crooked but neatly written pencil marks.

It was marked with signs such as "Cat Zone", "Dog Zone", and "Bird Zone".

In the center of the semi-circular wooden cabinet in the cat area, there was a beige cushion, and a pink hairless cat was squatting on it, its two big ears standing upright on both sides and its head tilted slightly.

The dog area had a small fence with a large golden retriever in the middle. Its body was made of golden-brown wool, and its tongue was cut from a small piece of pink felt, dangling out from its mouth.

A small platform was built next to the fence, on which stood a white Bichon Frise. Its fur was deliberately not padded too tightly, making it look fluffy and soft.

In the fish section, crumpled blue crepe paper was laid at the bottom of the aquarium to represent water, and several lifelike felt fish were suspended on the "water" by cotton thread.

The cotton thread stuck to the plastic sheet at the top, and the little fish swayed back and forth with the occasional vibration, as if it were really swimming.

In the reptile area, an ecosphere was also made of plastic sheets, containing stones, grass, and small trees. A white corn snake was perched on a branch, its small black eyes looking out.

In the bird section stood a colorful little parrot, perched on a bird stand made of white pipe cleaners.

In the corner of the amphibian enclosure, a small horned frog sat, its round body splayed outwards with its two thin, short legs spread wide, its lips slightly parted, as if preparing to catch something...

Then, at the very beginning of all the areas, there was a small doorway with two smiling little figures holding hands tightly.

The work is not particularly exquisite; the felt animal's fur is uneven, and glue residue reflects a glittering light in various places.

But it is complete, with details in every area and every corner, and behind every detail lies the memory of that day.

They sat quietly on the cardboard, as if sealing in the afternoon sunlight and laughter of that day.

……

"Alright, time's up!" Teacher Su clapped her hands at the front of the classroom, and the applause instantly drowned out all the noise.

"Dear children and parents, please stop what you are doing now, we are about to begin the selection process."

The classroom quieted down, the buzzing of the glue guns stopped, the scissors were put back in the material box, and the children jumped off their chairs, rubbing their hands excitedly.

Su Wan first announced the selection rules.

She held up a stack of small red flower stickers, each one bright red with five petals that reflected a faint light in the sunlight.

As she spoke, she handed out the stickers: "In a little while, we'll give each child three little red flower stickers—"

Starting from the first row, Su Wan handed three flowers to each child.

"You can stick it on three of your favorite works; one flower counts as one vote."

She paused for a moment, then held up an index finger and shook it. "But be careful, you can't throw it at yourself."

Xiao Douzi reached out and took the three little red flowers that Su Wan handed over, folded them up, and held them in her palm.

As soon as Teacher Su said "Start voting," Xiao Douzi stood up impatiently.
