The city gates of Suzhou were tightly closed, and muddy yellow water kept seeping out from the cracks. The area around the city walls had almost turned into a lake. The open space and official road in front of the city gates were no longer visible. Only the water surface was rising and falling in the wind and rain, creating layers of white foam.

Waves crashed against the city wall, splashing water droplets half a foot high before falling back into the water with a crisp "splashing" sound, one after another, as if someone was constantly pounding on the city wall, trying to call for the people inside to come out and open the gate.

Water droplets fell on the wall, mixing with the rainwater flowing down the wall and rushing down again, making the entire city wall seem to be immersed in a layer of flowing water.

Below, on the surface of the water, floated broken logs, straw mats, and tattered clothes that had washed ashore from who-knows-where. The broken logs varied in thickness, some thicker than a person's waist, and they tumbled in the water, occasionally crashing into the city gate with a dull thud.

After ramming the door, it was swept sideways by the water flow, one end pointing upwards, revealing the blackened wood that had been soaked in water. The broken edges were jagged, with splinters standing upright, and the wood was white and swollen from being soaked in water.

Rainwater pelted the wood, dripping down the tips of the splinters. Several pieces of wet bark, half-detached, dangled from the broken piece of wood, fluttering in the rushing water.

The straw mat was so soaked in water that it was almost falling apart, with strands of it floating on the surface of the water. The straw stems were soaked with water and were half-floating and half-sinking.

Occasionally, a slightly larger wave would crash over, causing the straw mat to sink suddenly, only to slowly float back up after a long while. The mud clinging to it would be washed away by the water, turning into thin, yellowish-brown streams that seeped out from the gaps in the straw stems.

The tattered clothes stretched out on the water's surface, their sleeves and hems undulating in the current, swaying with the ripples. From a distance, they resembled the figures of drowning people, sending a chill down one's spine.

For a fleeting moment, Wang Meng even had the illusion that there were living people hidden under those clothes, reaching out to him for help...

Upon closer inspection, however, it turned out to be nothing more than a few tattered pieces of cloth, being pulled and stretched by the water, sometimes bulging and sometimes deflated.

Outside the left side of the city wall of Suzhou lies the Wei River, whose banks have breached, and which continues to overflow. The water at the breach is much more turbulent than elsewhere, and the muddy yellow water rushes out like a wild horse that has broken free of its reins.

The low-lying farmland that once lined the left and right sides of the official road was now completely submerged. Only half of the roofs of a few houses were visible, their blue tiles gleaming from the rain.

Many of the mortar that was originally embedded between the tiles has fallen off due to water damage, revealing dark gaps. Rainwater seeps in and then out from elsewhere, making the water around the roof even more murky.

The water surface around the house undulated, and every now and then a gust of wind would sweep by, causing fine ripples to spread around the roof. The ripples would hit the walls of the house, bounce back, and mix with the ripples behind them, breaking into countless small waves.

Wang Meng seemed to see a small shadow curled up on one of the rooftops, like a dog or a cat, but the shadow lay motionless on the roof ridge.

He couldn't help but stare at it for a while, but the shadow remained motionless, with only the long, trailing thing behind it bobbing on the water's surface. Wang Meng felt a slight tightness in his chest, and a bitter taste rose on his tongue.

Several saplings that had not yet grown were drifting with the floodwaters. The trees had obviously been uprooted, their roots pointing skyward and exposed to the rain, resembling twisted hands.

The tree branches were covered with all sorts of odds and ends: pieces of clothing, a rope that had been broken in half, and a wooden basin that had somehow appeared out of nowhere. The bottom of the basin had a large hole, and water was flowing in and out of the hole, making a gurgling sound.

Wang Meng turned his gaze back to the city gate of Su City, glanced at the water gushing out from the cracks in the gate, and quickly estimated in his mind that the water inside was at least two people deep, and he immediately became worried.

With water this deep, it's unknown how many of the people in the city who didn't have time to escape are still alive.

The elderly and children who ran slowly, those who didn't have time to climb to higher ground, those who were caught up by the flood while they were asleep...

Wang Meng dared not think any further, only feeling a tightness in his chest, as if something was blocking it.

Water vapor filled the space between heaven and earth, creating a vast expanse of white that swallowed up the distant mountain and tree shadows.

The wind picked up in gusts, and the rain followed suit, becoming heavier and heavier, filling the world with the sound of water. The sound of rain hitting the city walls and wind sweeping across the water's surface blended into a deafening roar, like a thousand horses galloping in all directions.

Rainwater streamed down from the brim of Wang Meng's raincoat, temporarily obscuring his vision. Su Cheng swayed in the curtain of water before him, like a painting soaked by water.

He shook his head, and the water droplets above his head flew off, drawing a few thin arcs in the rain. Before those water droplets could even land, they were caught up by new raindrops and crashed into the muddy water at his feet.

Wang Meng's gaze swept back and forth between the tightly closed city gate and the city wall of Suzhou, his brows furrowed and his lips pressed into a thin line.

This city is so large, completely surrounded by water on all sides, and the water is so deep that ordinary methods are simply not feasible to get in and rescue people.

The more Wang Meng thought about it, the more troublesome it seemed. He felt as if a heavy stone was pressing down on his heart.

Finally, having exhausted all other options, he turned to Lin Ye and asked, "Lord Lin, the city gates of Su City are blocked by water. How are we supposed to get in?" His eyes were filled with anxiety and anticipation.

Wang Meng's voice was somewhat muffled by the wind and rain, but it still reached Lin Ye's ears clearly.

Lin Ye did not answer immediately.

He stood on the earthen slope, his figure appearing exceptionally calm in the wind and rain, the raindrops so dense they almost formed a net, covering him from head to toe.

But when the rain was about to fall on him and the little one in his arms, it was blocked by something invisible. The rain slid down the outer wall of the protective bubble, without even wetting the hem of their clothes.

Little Douzi nestled in Lin Ye's arms, her little hands clutching his clothes, her face half-buried in his chest, only her round eyes peeking out as she gazed intently at the rain outside through the transparent bubble.

Lin Ye first looked up at the direction of Suzhou City, then looked down at the churning muddy water at his feet. After thinking for a moment, he brought up the system shop again.

A semi-transparent system panel unfolded before his eyes, its pale blue halo standing out starkly against the gray rain.

The lettering on the panel was clear and steady, completely unaffected by wind and rain, and lined up before my eyes.

Lin Ye's gaze swept across the mall list, and with his mind control, various product names flashed before his eyes, gleaming with a faint light.

He spent a moment browsing through the store's list, when suddenly, an item caught his eye, and Lin Ye raised an eyebrow slightly.

I've got it, this is it!
