Just then, a boy wearing black-rimmed glasses walked over.

He looked to be in his early twenties, wearing a white basketball jersey that revealed his muscular arms. He was about 1.85 meters tall and stood out in the crowd.

"Yuting, who is this?"

The boy's gaze fell on Xu Xing, his eyes filled with scrutiny and wariness.

"Oh, class monitor, this is my friend Xu Xing, he came with us to play."

Li Yuting introduced them, then turned to Xu Xing, "Brother Xu, this is our class monitor, Zhang Haoran."

"Hello there."

Xu Xing extended his hand.

Zhang Haoran hesitated for a moment but still reached out and shook hands, but the force in his hand was noticeably stronger, carrying a hint of testing.

Xu Xing felt the force in his hand and immediately understood.

This guy probably has feelings for Li Yuting.

He smiled subtly and exerted slight force in his palm.

Zhang Haoran's expression changed instantly.

He felt as if his hand was being clamped by a pair of iron clamps, his bones were creaking, and the pain almost made him cry out.

But he was too embarrassed to show it in front of so many people, so he could only grit his teeth and bear it, with fine beads of sweat appearing on his forehead.

Seeing his expression, Xu Xing released his grip at the opportune moment.

Zhang Haoran quickly withdrew his hand, secretly flicked it behind his back, and looked at Xu Xing with a hint of apprehension.

"Is everyone here? If so, let's get on the bus!"

The counselor leading the group was a young teacher in his thirties who clapped his hands in greeting.

The crowd walked toward the bus parked by the roadside.

Li Yuting took Xu Xing's arm and got into the car with the crowd.

The bus was a 50-seat tour bus, and the interior was fairly clean and tidy.

Li Yuting pulled Xu Xing along and they found a two-seater seat in the back row.

The girls followed and sat in the seats in front of and next to them, chatting away.

Zhang Haoran and a few other boys sat in the front row, glancing back at Xu Xing and Li Yuting in the back row from time to time, their eyes filled with a complex expression.

The bus started and slowly drove out of the city, heading towards the Qinling Mountains along the highway.

The drive takes about two hours.

Along the way, Li Yuting leaned on Xu Xing's shoulder and chatted with him about interesting things that happened at school.

The girls in the front row would occasionally turn around and chime in, creating a very harmonious atmosphere.

Xu Xing noticed that Li Yuting seemed to be quite popular among these classmates, especially with those girls who had a good relationship with her.

"Tingting, what does your boyfriend do for a living?"

The short-haired girl turned around and asked curiously.

"Brother Xu works in cultural relic restoration."

Li Yuting answered confidently, her tone tinged with pride.

"Artifact restoration? Wow, that's so sophisticated!"

Another girl exclaimed, "Is it one of those jobs where you put broken porcelain back together?"

"almost."

Xu Xing smiled. "But it's a bit more complicated than that one."

"Wouldn't that make them just as capable as those experts on TV?"

The short-haired girl had bright, sparkling eyes.

"No, no, I'm just a craftsman."

Xu Xing said modestly.

Upon hearing this, Zhang Haoran, sitting in the front row, curled his lips into a disdainful smile.

Cultural relic restoration?

Isn't he just a junk repairman?

What's there to be proud of?

He thought it to himself but didn't say it aloud.

Two hours later, the bus entered the Qinling Mountains.

The scenery outside the window gradually became spectacular, with lush, rolling mountains and clear streams meandering through the valleys.

After driving for about twenty more minutes, the bus stopped in front of a resort hotel nestled against the mountains and beside the water.

The hotel is small but has a tranquil environment, nestled against green mountains and facing a stream, with fresh and pleasant air.

"We're here! Everyone, get out of the car!"

The counselor clapped his hands and greeted them.

Everyone got off the bus with their luggage and gathered in the hotel lobby.

The counselor began assigning rooms: "Two people per room, flexible pairings, men and women separated!"

No sooner had she finished speaking than Li Yuting grabbed Xu Xing's arm and exclaimed, "Teacher, I want to share a room with Brother Xu!"

The entire lobby fell silent instantly.

All eyes turned to Li Yuting and Xu Xing.

The counselor's lips twitched, and he coughed awkwardly, "Um... Li Yuting, this..."

"Teacher, we're a couple, isn't it normal for us to live together?"

Li Yuting said this confidently, without the slightest bit of embarrassment on her face.

The counselor opened his mouth, looked at Li Yuting, then at Xu Xing, and finally gave in: "Alright, alright, just be careful yourselves."

Li Yuting proudly raised her chin, pulled Xu Xing to the front desk, and took the room key.

The girls behind them started making a commotion.

Zhang Haoran stood to the side, his face so gloomy it could drip water.

He clenched his fists so tightly that his nails almost dug into his flesh.

Damn it, what gives this junk repairman the right to do this?

He gritted his teeth, secretly holding back a surge of determination.

In the afternoon, after everyone settled into the hotel, they had a few hours of free time.

Xu Xing and Li Yuting took a walk on a nearby mountain path and played in the stream for a while, which was quite pleasant.

In the evening, the counselor gathered everyone for dinner at the hotel restaurant.

The food was authentic farm-style cuisine, including stewed free-range chicken with mushrooms, stir-fried cured pork with garlic sprouts, and stir-fried wild vegetables, all of which were delicious.

Li Yuting ate very happily, constantly serving food to Xu Xing, being extremely attentive.

The girls, seeing this, started making a fuss again.

"Oh my, Tingting, are you going to be a virtuous wife and loving mother?"

"Tsk tsk tsk, people in love are just different. I've never seen you this diligent before!"

Li Yuting blushed at their words and glared at them, saying, "Eat your food!"

After dinner, it was completely dark.

The counselor suggested, "We don't have any plans for tonight, so everyone is free to do whatever they want. There's an escape room near the hotel; feel free to check it out if you'd like."

This proposal was immediately met with a positive response from most people.

"Escape room! Great!"

"I've been wanting to do this for ages! It'll be so much fun with lots of people!"

"Let's go! Let's team up!"

Several boys were eager to try, especially Zhang Haoran, who prided himself on his superior intelligence and consistently ranked among the top students in school. He was always very confident in this kind of intellectual game.

He glanced at Xu Xing, thinking to himself: You junk repairman, let's see how I crush you in front of Li Yuting today!

"Brother Xu, shall we go have some fun too?"

Li Yuting held Xu Xing's arm, her eyes shining with anticipation.

Xu Xing glanced at her, then at the eager boys, and immediately understood their thoughts.

He just wanted to show off his abilities in front of him and impress Li Yuting.

Although Li Yuting was already with him, these boys were clearly still not giving up and wanted to outsmart him intellectually to save face.

Xu Xing found it somewhat amusing, but didn't refuse: "Okay, let's go have some fun then."
