Wang Long's voice was calm, yet carried an undeniable firmness.

"Wanyun, don't worry, I know what I'm doing. I won't go back to my death like a fool."

"With Little Bird here, and with the Celestial Palace here, even if I can't win, I'm absolutely confident I can escape."

"not to mention……"

He paused, his gaze becoming deep.

"Going to the Primordial Holy Palace doesn't necessarily require a direct confrontation."

Xu Wanyun looked at him, at the determination and tenderness in his eyes.

In that gaze, there was a promise to Ye Niannu, and also honesty towards her.

Xu Wanyun did not try to persuade her further.

She simply gripped his hand tightly in return, her voice soft.

"Uncle Long...I want to go with you."

Xu Wanyun wanted to face the danger together with Wang Long.

Wang Long shook his head, reached out and gently pulled her into his arms, resting his chin on the top of her head, his voice low and gentle.

"You stay at Wenxin Academy and take good care of Jiaojiao for me."

"She just found a father; we can't let her live in fear anymore."

Tell Jiaojiao that I'm going out on business and will be back in a few days.

Xu Wanyun leaned against him, her arms tightly wrapped around his waist, her face buried in his chest, her voice muffled.

"Then you have to promise me... you'll come back safely."

"Yes, I promise you."

She lifted her head from his embrace, stood on tiptoe, and kissed his lips.

Under the moonlight, the two leaned against each other, silently exchanging warmth and affection.

For a long time, the lips are divided.

Xu Wanyun's cheeks were flushed slightly, her eyes were red-rimmed, but she tried to force a smile.

"Let me stay with you tonight."

Her voice was soft, tinged with reluctance.

Wang Long looked at her without saying anything, only nodding slightly.

He bent down, picked Xu Wanyun up in his arms, and carried her into the house.

The door closed gently.

The room was filled with the colors of spring.

As dawn broke, Wenxin Academy was still shrouded in a thin layer of morning mist.

Wang Long stood in the courtyard and took one last look at the tightly closed door behind him.

Qin Jiaojiao was still fast asleep. Beside her bed was a large storage bag filled with food and cultivation resources that Wang Long had prepared for her overnight.

She had spirit stones, pills, and magical artifacts piled up to the brim, enough to last her for a year and a half.

"Jiaojiao, Daddy's going out to run some errands, I'll be back soon."

Wang Long lowered his voice to a very low level, as if he were talking to himself.

He turned around, his steps light and silent, and walked out of the courtyard, heading towards the back mountain of the academy along the bluestone path.

Xu Wanyun watched Wang Long's departing figure through the window, her face full of reluctance, and murmured softly.

"Uncle Long, Wanyun is also waiting for you to come back and pick me up~"

Wang Long stopped in his tracks at a wide-open space on the back of the mountain.

He called out softly.

"Little Chirp~"

Little Chick popped out of Wang Long's arms and instantly transformed into a nine-day-old black bird that was dozens of feet long.

It lowered its head, its golden vertical pupils looking at Wang Long, and let out a low cry, as if to say, "Ready."

Wang Long leaped onto Xiao Qiu's broad back, sat cross-legged, and gently patted its neck.

"Let's go, northwest, heading towards the Primordial Holy Palace!"

Upon hearing this, Little Chick immediately flapped its wings and its enormous golden form soared into the sky.

Like a golden shooting star, it streaked across the dawn and flew towards the distant horizon.

The Wenxin Academy on the ground grew smaller and smaller until it became a blurry black dot, disappearing among the rolling green hills.

Wang Long sat on Xiao Qiu's back, the morning breeze whistling past his ears, the clouds swirling beneath him, and the vastness of the world around him.

He glanced down at the Immortal Palace mark on the back of his hand, then touched the items in his pocket, a slight smile curving his lips.

She murmured softly.

"Niannu, I've come to fetch you."

The Primordial Holy Palace.

The morning sun shines through the thick clouds and mist, casting a pale golden glow on the rolling mountains.

In a secluded cave on the back mountain, Ye Niannu sat cross-legged in the center of the spirit pool.

Her aura was much stronger than it had been a few months ago, but she was still just a thin barrier away from breaking through to the Supreme Realm.

The spiritual liquid in the spirit pool had been mostly consumed, and milky white mist filled the cave, enveloping her and making her look like a fairy in a painting.

Suddenly, a soft footstep sound came from outside the stone gate, and then the stone gate slowly opened.

Ye Wushuang, dressed in a long white dress, with her long black hair flowing like a waterfall and a cool expression, walked in from outside the door.

Holding a roll of paper in her hand, she walked to the edge of the pool, looked down at Ye Niannu in the water, and her beautiful eyes held a complex emotion.

"Niannu."

Ye Niannu opened her eyes and saw that it was her master. The corners of her mouth lifted slightly, and her voice carried a hint of joy.

"Master, you've arrived."

Ye Wushuang sat down by the pool and handed her the note in his hand.

"Take a look at this."

Ye Niannu took the paper, unfolded it, and looked down at it.

Her gaze swept over the contents of the note, she paused slightly, then her pupils contracted sharply, and her fingers began to tremble slightly.

"Wang Long, a contestant from the Great Qian Dynasty, won first place in this year's Ten Thousand Dynasties Competition. He submitted 50,000 Heavenly Stones and was personally granted the City Lord's Decree by Song Tiange, the City Lord of Heavenly City, and enjoys the privileges of an elder."

"This person broke through the trap set by twelve Grandmaster-level magical beasts in the secret realm, saving the lives of thousands of contestants, and was treated as an honored guest by various families and sects."

"Upon his return, he had already reached the semi-saint realm and was hailed as a once-in-a-millennium genius in the Eastern Region."

Ye Niannu's hand holding the paper trembled slightly, her eyes instantly reddened, and her voice was filled with suppressed excitement and sobs.

"A half-saint...my lord...he's already a half-saint?"

She looked up at Ye Wushuang, tears welling up in her eyes, but she grinned, a bright and radiant smile.

Like a little girl who has received her most beloved gift.

"Master, did you see that? I knew it! I knew my husband could do it!"

"He promised me he'd come pick me up soon; he's never lied to me!"

Looking at her crying and laughing at the same time, Ye Wushuang felt a pang of heartache in her beautiful eyes and gently patted her head.

"Yes, I saw it."

Ye Niannu threw herself into Ye Wushuang's arms, wrapped her arms tightly around her waist, and buried her face in her chest.

Her voice was muffled, tinged with tears, yet it couldn't hide her joy and pride.

"Master, do you remember? When you first met him, he was only a sixth-rank martial artist. You probably never imagined he could reach this level in just a few months..."

As she spoke, she couldn't help but laugh again, lifting her head from Ye Wushuang's embrace.

She wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes, which were sparkling as if filled with stars.

"My lord is truly amazing!"

Looking at her like that, Ye Wushuang couldn't help but smile and reached out to tidy up the stray hairs that were falling across Ye Niannu's forehead.

"Niannu, you once said he was your destined one, and I thought it was just a momentary impulse. Now it seems I misjudged you."

"He truly is a genius!"

Even Ye Wushuang paled in comparison. She was a once-in-a-millennium genius of the Primordial Holy Palace, but compared to Wang Long's cultivation speed...

One is in heaven, the other is on earth!
