Captain Fang tapped his finger on the table, making a soft, muffled sound.

He didn't speak, his eyes fixed on the screen, signaling Team Leader He to continue.

The scene changes again.

Surveillance footage from around a large warehouse in the north of the city shows that around 8:10 p.m., Zhou Haibing's car was parked at the warehouse entrance. He said a few words to a middle-aged man at the entrance, and then the warehouse lights came on.

Team Leader He finished playing the last video clip, which froze on a surveillance camera capture on a rural road in the northern suburbs of the provincial capital at around 6 a.m.

Zhou Haibing's black Mercedes drove past that intersection, heading towards the mountains further north.

After that, no surveillance cameras ever captured the car again.

Team Leader He put down the mouse and turned to look at Captain Fang.

The office was quiet for a few seconds, with only the sound of computer fans spinning.
