It was accompanied by a heart-wrenching scream and a chilling gnawing sound.

The remaining greedy chosen ones finally faced the consequences of their greed.

......

The world of ghost stories.

On the stage that had been set up, gongs and drums were being played, and several strange figures were dressed in bizarre costumes, stiffly waving their sleeves and singing opera in hoarse voices.

Below, empty seats were now set with sunflower seeds, peanuts, fruits and vegetables, and steaming hot tea.

Although there was no audience below the stage, the performers on the stage did not stop. The greasepaint on their faces became even paler, and together with their skin, they gave off a lifeless feeling. Their singing, combined with the mournful music of the suona, made it even more eerie.

The surrounding houses were decorated with double happiness symbols and hung with red lanterns, as if a happy occasion was being held.

Strangely, although it was supposed to be a joyous occasion, there was no sign of human presence. Not only was there not a single person in sight, but the air itself was filled with a deathly stillness.

Only the mournful sounds of opera from the stage constantly surrounded us.

Just then, a ripple suddenly appeared in the air, and a door with strange puppet-like figures carved on it appeared out of nowhere.

A strange figure carrying a huge black coffin and dressed in black and white funeral clothes walked out from behind the door and appeared right below the stage.

As this strange figure appeared, the actors on the stage suddenly paused, their eyes darting around, and they looked over with strange expressions.

Around them, the previously empty tables and chairs were now occupied by figures of men, women, and children, all dressed in festive red clothes, their pale faces painted with red blush, and their lively yet eerie eyes fixed on the figure carrying the coffin that had suddenly appeared behind them.

Among them, an elderly man dressed in a wealthy man's robe, with gray hair, sat at the very front. He slowly opened his cloudy eyes and sized up the uninvited guest who had suddenly barged in.

With the arrival of these people, the once quiet stage instantly became more lively.

However, combined with the eerie scene, it only made it more terrifying.

Rule Four: Behind every maze door lies a certain danger. However, behind every danger, there is always a glimmer of hope. Please remain rational and do not let fear cloud your judgment.

"Oh, they're putting on a traditional opera!"

Facing the strange gazes directed at him, Su Ming, carrying the black coffin, remained extremely calm. He watched the scene on the stage with great interest, then found an empty seat and sat down.

He casually put down the huge black coffin behind him without making a sound.

He very casually poured himself a cup of hot tea, grabbed a handful of sunflower seeds and started munching on them, and even greeted everyone present in a relaxed manner.

"Why are you looking at me? You're just watching a show. Eat and drink as you please, don't be shy."

"Those on stage, if you don't continue, once you start speaking, you can't stop. Don't break the rules left by our ancestors!"

The others sitting below the stage were instantly stunned. Their pale faces, painted with blush, looked at Su Ming in surprise, clearly not expecting the newcomer to be so strange.

If you say he's human, why is he wearing funeral clothes and carrying such a large black coffin on his back? And look at his calm and composed demeanor, without even the slightest bit of negative emotion. He just doesn't look human at all!

Yet, the other person also possessed a strong human scent mixed with the aura of death.

Such a stark contrast made it somewhat difficult for them to tell the difference.

What left them speechless was that this guy's overly familiar personality was a bit too exaggerated.

Judging from his posture, he seemed to be the host, and everyone else was just a guest.

This is practically turning the tables!

The actors on stage were taken aback, their strange expressions deepening. They clearly hadn't expected the newcomer to be so eccentric. But then, remembering the rules, they quickly resumed their performance.

The strange gazes that had been fixed on Su Ming shifted back to the stage, and people began to watch the play again.

Only the short, fat man sitting next to Su Ming kept staring intently at the man in front of him, his nose twitching as if he were trying to confirm something.

The round head fell off its neck, rolled on the table, and came to Su Ming, wanting to sniff the scent on his body up close.

Strangely, even though the head had fallen off, the headless body was still moving, and not a single drop of blood spurted from the neck.

Su Ming paused in his sunflower seed-eating, and faced with such a horrifying scene, he didn't hold back. He grabbed the short, gourd-shaped man who was right in front of him, ignoring the man's surprised and uncertain expression, and tossed him around like a football, kicking him towards the stage.

"I am a lonely soul in the underworld..."

Before the performers on stage could finish singing, a flying head interrupted the performance.

Another voice from below the stage interrupted him.

"Change the song, change the song! Why are you singing that stuff on such a joyous occasion? It sounds like someone in your family has died..."

Su Ming ignored the angry stares that suddenly fell on him, and continued to crack sunflower seeds with an air of nonchalance, crossing his legs like a big shot.

His unbridled attitude instantly enraged everyone present.

"Young man, don't go too far. Today is a joyous occasion. We old folks are only being lenient with you because we respect you as a guest. If you really cause trouble, you might not be able to leave here alive."

Sitting at the very front, an elderly man with white hair, dressed in a wealthy man's robe, looked at Su Ming with a cold expression and spoke in a sinister voice.

The figures around him also stood up silently, staring at him with icy gazes.

Just then, the head that had rolled off the stage suddenly shouted:

"I smell it, I smell it! The stench of death on him was deliberately applied; he's alive..."

As soon as he finished speaking, the cold gazes around him instantly turned fiery.

"It's a living person?!"

A group of greedy figures silently surrounded Su Ming.

Even the old man in the rich man's clothes lost his previous politeness and became greedy and insatiable, as if he had seen some rare treasure.

"There are actually living people who dare to come in and die? It seems that besides the opera today, we'll also have an extra feast!"

"Such a young body is perfect for replacement..."

In an instant, figures around him pounced on Su Ming, who was sitting at the table and eating melon seeds, like ferocious wild beasts.

The headless corpse, so close at hand, pounced on it like a greedy vulture.

At this moment, Su Ming was like prey surrounded by a pack of wolves, about to be devoured by the hungry wolves that pounced on him at any moment.

"You couldn't sit still so quickly? I was originally planning to have some fun with you guys!"

Despite the perilous situation, Su Ming continued to leisurely crack sunflower seeds without any change in expression. His left hand reached out to grab the huge black coffin standing to the side, as if he had grasped a light, flimsy stick.
