Red Dragon, but chosen by all four gods

Chapter 10 The Dragon Court's "Punishment"

As dusk fell, the group entered the territory of the Mirha tribe within the Bluewood Forest.

The Milha tribe's mining party returned with three pack animals laden with the ore.

This should have been a moment of celebration, but instead, everyone looked at each other in fear.

Because there were several uninvited guests returning with them.

A wolf girl from the Galahren family walked at the front. Everyone in the tribe knew that the Galahren family were the managers of the entire White River Valley, their nominal lords.

When the tribesmen first saw her, they assumed she was from the Galahren family and had come because of their recent conflict with other tribes.

Following behind was a dragon-born warrior covered in golden scales, a servant of the Dragon Lord.

This instilled some fear in the people. The great Golden Dragon Lord had sent an envoy, which meant an unshakeable command, leaving no room for negotiation.

Finally, to everyone's astonishment, eight of the strongest members of the tribe carried a makeshift wooden palanquin.

Seated atop it is one of the nightmares feared by all mortals of Eladica, the brutal red dragon that is always mentioned during every dragon plague!

Despite being a young red dragon, it still astonished everyone who saw it.

Although a white dragon cub was following behind, no one paid any attention to it anymore.

"The son of the great Dragon Lord, representing the Golden Dragon Court, kneel before me!"

The squad leader Mo Kailuo's loud announcement finally woke the onlookers from their daze, and they hurriedly knelt down.

Having witnessed the power of the Golden Dragon Lord just a month ago, they dared not question anything concerning the "Golden Dragon Court."

The crowd watched as the procession headed towards the tribal center.

Heros sat in a sedan chair carried by eight men, observing the tribe.

Although both are tribes that rule over a territory, the Milhar tribe is worlds apart from the Galahren.

Forget about a castle, there isn't even a decent house here.

This is a clearing that has clearly just been cleared in the woodland; even the tree roots haven't been cleared away yet.

Everywhere you look, there are messy blue shacks covered with layers of blackened animal hides and dry thatch, and they smell terrible.

This is not just because these people with troll blood are dirty and smelly; the bigger reason is that they haven't had time to properly process the timber from the Bluewood Forest.

This type of wood contains a pale blue resin, making it unsuitable for building materials.

The shack was covered in resin, which not only emitted a strange smell but also caused insects to breed like crazy.

And this is just one of the many problems facing this tribe.

Most importantly, there was a visibly severe lack of food and clothing. Those kneeling on the ground were likely from the lowest rungs of the tribe. Every single one of the people Heros looked at was emaciated and pale.

The group sent out to steal the ore appeared to be among the stronger members of the tribe.

It's already in this state, no wonder they're going to fight for other territories.

Mokello said that his tribe had about a thousand people, and that was after the wrath of the Dragon Lord.

Soon, the group stopped in front of a tall building in the center of the tribe.

The building was made of stone, and although it wasn't made of polished stone bricks, it was still much more presentable than the shacks outside.

In front of the stone house, three figures were already waiting, leading a large number of warriors.

Leading the group was a strong woman, with an elderly man in a long robe with bags of herbs hanging from his body standing to her left, and a middle-aged warrior in steel armor to her right.

It's worth mentioning that these three people looked stronger than the soldiers behind them; even the old man and the female leader were stronger than the average soldier.

"Mother."

Mo Kailuo strode forward, walked up to the female leader, and whispered a few words to introduce the identities of Heros and his group.

The female chieftain nodded, signaling him to step back. She stepped forward to the palanquin, bowed, and said, "Great son of the Dragon Lord, I am Dorda, the chieftain of the Milha tribe. It is an honor..."

"Kneel down."

Doda gritted her teeth and obediently knelt down, followed by the others behind her.

They had nothing more to take away; a little bit of the lord's dignity was insignificant.

"It is an honor to have an audience with you..."

"Discard these formalities. Your thoughts are irrelevant. Before the great dragon, simply listen to destiny."

Heros didn't let her finish her sentence. He leaped off the palanquin, flew over the heads of the crowd, and flew into the stone house, landing on the central table as if it were his own home.

Hill naturally followed him inside.

"The one named Dorda, come in. Everyone else, get lost."

Heros's voice came, and at Döda's command, everyone dispersed.

Inanna hesitated for a moment, not daring to follow Heros in without his orders.

Fortunately, the white dragon Anglu did not go in. Instead, he smelled the aroma of meat in the distance, and his eyes lit up as he rushed over.

Inanna glanced at the stone house, then at the white dragon that had run away and was about to disappear from sight.

So she grabbed the only Mirha tribesman she knew, Mokailo, and chased after the white dragon.

……

Inside the stone house, Heros sat on the stone table. When Doda entered, she knelt down obediently once again.

"I met Mokello; they were mining elemental magic ore in the Deep Rock Mine."

"Yes." Doda's heart stirred slightly; so this was indeed the reason she had come.

The general population still held some goodwill towards the Galahren clan because they had spoken up for the terrible dragon lord and secured a place for them to settle down.

But after she actually moved in, she realized the despicable nature of that old bastard François.

The Milha family became a tool for him to control the three neighboring families, or a tool destined to break.

But she had no choice; if they didn't fight with all their might, they wouldn't even make it through this winter.

So in just over a month, three bloody conflicts have already occurred, and they still have to continue to steal resources from the territories of other families.

"Do you know that everything in White River Valley belongs to my mother, the great Golden Dragon Lord?"

Döda remained silent.

Last time, the Dragon Lord's wrath ended with the death of half of their race.

What about this time?

If we could keep half of them, that would be an acceptable result.

If not, they have no choice but to fight to the death.

Regardless of whether this young, arrogant red dragon is truly an envoy of the Golden Dragon Court, he must be a fake.

The entire clan killed the young dragon and that dragon descendant.

Then they went out to sea again, split up and fled for their lives, going as far as they could.

Over countless years, the Mirha tribe has wandered and been displaced in Eladika countless times.

They would give anything for the survival of their tribe.

"Therefore, the magic ore you obtain must belong to the Golden Dragon Court, understand?"

Upon hearing this, Doda was taken aback.

Is that all?

We disobeyed the Dragon Lord's orders and stole resources from other lords. All we need to do is hand over what we've obtained.

Regardless of what she thought, Heros continued:

"Mokello demonstrated to me your mining techniques and the exceptional strength of your tribal workers, enabling them to extract ore from a worthless wasteland, which is in the best interests of the Golden Dragon Court."

"Therefore, I will ask my mother to allow the Mirha tribe to mine in all the abandoned mines. As long as you can create value, the Golden Dragon Court will guarantee your survival."

Döda was shocked once again.

What does that mean?

If she understood correctly, this meant that all the abandoned mining areas in the Deep Rock Mine were now under the jurisdiction of the Mirha tribe.

Instead of punishing them, the Dragon Court granted them even more territory.

Seeing her stunned expression, Heros's tone revealed a hint of displeasure:

"Your tribe must serve the Dragon Court wholeheartedly; this is the obligation you should fulfill after receiving the Dragon Lord's protection."

"Therefore, you must deliver the magic ore to the Golden Dragon Court on time every year, or you will face severe punishment, understand?"

Personally delivered to the Dragon Palace?

Us? Are we even worthy of going to the Dragon Palace?

In other words, we now possess the qualifications that only the Gallaheren family has?

"We are willing! We are willing to obey the commands of the heir to the Golden Dragon Court, the future protector of the valley, the most righteous, just, and great son of the Dragon Lord. We will serve you wholeheartedly!"

This time, Döda knelt on the ground with all her heart, pressing her head to the ground, and loudly responded to Heros's words.

Doda now had only one thought in her mind: she hoped that this son of the Dragon Lord would be her own.

If the Dragon Lord can hear even a little bit of value from his tribe through him, it will be an enormous opportunity for the tribe!

Seeing this, Heros nodded in satisfaction.

Screw the feudal system! Everything must go directly to the central government!
