Red Dragon, but chosen by all four gods
Chapter 13 A Little Interlude
"What's that Anglu doing out there?"
Heros flew in the sky, following the scent of Anglu out of the Milha tribe. Doda wanted to send someone to follow him, but Heros refused, treating it as a stroll during his studies.
As he flew near a mountain hollow, he suddenly smelled a bloody odor.
"Hill!"
Hill, who had been closely following Heros, had already disappeared into the shadows; she would not allow any dangerous elements to appear around Heros.
Heros followed closely behind and flew into the ravine.
……
Anglu's large mouth, full of sharp teeth, bit down hard, and the werewolf's arm shattered on the spot.
Despite the werewolf slashing several wounds on its back, with shattered dragon scales mixed with blood and flesh flying everywhere, it still wouldn't let go, biting the werewolf and flying into the air before crashing heavily to the ground.
Under the terrifying impact, the werewolf's bone-crushing arm and shoulder broke off, and a large amount of warm, fleshy fragments splattered out, almost dyeing the young dragon blood red.
The werewolf was, of course, already dead beyond any doubt.
This scene greatly shocked all the attacking werewolf warriors. Those who had been in a berserk state due to the activation of their bloodline beast transformation now showed fear in their eyes, and their beast-like claws and joints slowly returned to their original form.
Although Anglu was also seriously injured and even limped, his pent-up ferocity suddenly erupted, seemingly due to being suppressed for a long time.
"roar--!"
Anglu's roar rang out again, signaling that he was about to attack once more. The werewolves were momentarily stunned and even tried to flee.
But they will never have that chance again.
A dagger emerged from the shadows and precisely ripped open a werewolf's throat.
Then came the second one, the third one...
"Hill, spare one alive!"
As Heros's voice came, a thin line of blood had already been slashed across the throat of the last werewolf.
Before he could even beg for mercy, he felt a sharp pain at the back of his head and fainted.
Heros flew into the ravine and glanced at the chaotic scene, especially the wounded Anglu, which enraged him.
But when Anglu saw Heros arrive, all his ferocity vanished. He happily dragged his drooping half-wing and limped toward Heros, as if he wasn't in any pain at all.
Seeing Anglu's miserable state, Heros had to land on the ground to comfort him, lest he have to struggle to fly up with his injured dragon wings.
"Inanna has been following you. Is she still alive?"
Anglu nodded, turned around and shoveled aside the pile of rubble he had been guarding. Inside were Inanna and Mokailo, both severely injured and unconscious, covered in wounds.
Inanna, in particular, had several penetrating wounds, but fortunately none of them were fatal.
However, if Heros had arrived any later, she would have died from blood loss.
"I am a kind white dragon." Anglu was very proud of this.
Heros nodded. This group of beast-like werewolves was clearly from the Galahren family. Even if this prisoner didn't speak, at least someone would know the general situation.
So they summoned people from the Mirha tribe to take him back to their tribe for treatment, but that's another story.
……
Back in the tribe, Heros had to suspend his studies and let Hill interrogate the beast-like werewolf warrior.
Under Hill's expert guidance, the werewolf warriors quickly revealed their purpose: to capture Inanna or kill her.
However, since Inanna had been inseparable from Angru for the past two days and was living in the core area of the Mirha tribe, they had no opportunity to make a move.
Taking advantage of Inanna and Anglu's absence today, they feared that if they didn't act now, they would miss their chance.
But to their surprise, their actions angered Anglu.
What was even more unexpected was that this white dragon cub, which was not yet in its developmental stage, was so ferocious.
As if he felt no pain or fear, he endured the severe injuries and killed several members of his squad.
The squad that carried out the mission was already highly beast-like, and under the stimulation of blood, they quickly fell into a berserk state, which is why this is the scene they ended up in.
Heros left the cell and instructed Dhoda, "Keep an eye on this prisoner; don't let him die."
"Yes."
He then went to check on Anglu, the little white dragon who had just had a big meal and was now fast asleep.
The fact that he was able to achieve such results shows that his mother's blood truly demonstrated its power in him.
For some reason, Anglu was in a bad mood after he returned. Doda wanted to send someone to clean his wounds and dragon scales, but he refused and bared his teeth at anyone who dared to approach.
However, it doesn't matter. Dragons have top-notch regenerative abilities and can recover from most injuries with just enough food and sleep.
Infections and diseases, which plague mortal races, are almost non-existent in dragons.
Let him sleep like that if he's happy.
Heros then summoned Inanna and Mokello, who, after being treated by the witch doctor, finally regained consciousness that night and were brought before Heros.
Inanna was the most uneasy, as she knew very well what had happened.
She wasn't surprised that her father wanted to kill her; she wanted to kill him too.
But the incident resulted in Anglu's injury. No matter how young she was, she had been exposed to the ways of Galahron for many years and knew that if the Golden Dragon Court was involved, everything would get out of control.
To her relief, however, Heros did not get angry, at least not outwardly.
Instead, she was given the orders she received from the werewolf warrior, and asked to explain why this had happened.
After a moment's thought, Inanna understood her father's thoughts: "François has always prioritized the family's interests and always puts himself first. He probably sees me following the Dragon Lord's son and is worried that I might do something that would jeopardize his position..."
After hearing Inanna's explanation, Heros nodded.
Just as he had guessed, he swaggered into the Bluewood Forest, eager to spread the news that he was there.
Makaros will definitely come to pick him up, which will allow him to fulfill his request.
The Golden Dragon Court has many territories under its rule, and a small tribe that has just moved into the White River Valley is nothing special.
Makaros will most likely not refuse him.
In the future, if he wants to change the current state of this ditch, he will have a starting point.
But unexpectedly, Inanna, this insignificant "guide," could actually cause such a change in events.
Originally, as the ruling noble family of the entire White River Valley, the Galahren family would most likely have been dealt with last by Heros.
Now we have a perfect excuse.
Whether you use one nail or two, you might as well use them.
Before a true dragon destined for greatness, the schemes and machinations of mortals are insignificant; sooner or later, they will all accept their fate in the face of absolute power and be transformed into the form Heros desires.
This little incident only accelerated the process.
Heros ordered his men to send Mokero away, leaving only Inanna behind.
Under the wolf girl's tense and fearful gaze, Heros said earnestly, "Inanna Galahren, from this day forward, I want you to give me your complete loyalty."
"What?" Inanna vaguely sensed something, but couldn't understand it for the moment.
But Heros didn't explain; he simply continued, "Are you willing?"
"yes!"
Inanna finally understood. Suppressing her overwhelming joy, she quickly pledged her allegiance, saying, "I, Inanna Galahren, from this day forward, dedicate all my loyalty, faith, and life to your throne!"
Heros nodded; this little wolf girl was always clever.
"In that case, the fool Galahren who injured my servant must be punished accordingly."
Heros concluded.
He flew out of the stone house and looked out into the sky, his gaze piercing through the night and extending beyond the Bluewood Forest.
On the horizon, a golden hue, not belonging to the darkness, is rapidly approaching.
