Greek Mythology: Starting with Becoming the God of the Breeze

Chapter 43 God King's Authority Experience Card

The sun and moon revolve, and day and night alternate.

For ordinary life, the alternation of morning and evening is a long cycle of day and night.

But for the Titans, who have endless lifespans and overlook the ages, a whole day is but a fleeting moment in the blink of an eye.

Therefore, when Kanas and Cronus finished their exchange, Selene's moon chariot slowly descended from the sky, while Helios's sun chariot had already risen from the east.

As dusk slowly descended, the intense golden light illuminated the earth.

This is the moment when Cronus has decided to personally lead the expedition.

As he was about to depart, the Titan King who controlled time and ruled the world of Chaos for countless years turned his head to look at Kanas beside him.

His tone was calm and even, no longer carrying the air of a god-king as before, but rather an invitation that was relatively intimate:

"O Kanas, the symbol of the wind, walk alongside me, as a witness to the great deeds of Cronus, the god of time."

"I have issued an order that after I leave, the various pantheons will govern themselves, and you will be in charge of guarding my throne."

"Of course, you can sit on it yourself, as long as you can sit there."

Kanas automatically ignored the last sentence.

Perhaps Cronus has let go of his obsession, but the position of Chaos, the king of gods, is not something that someone of his minor, middling divine power can even dream of.

Let the other Titans worry about this.

There's also Zeus.

If all else fails, drag Him from Crete and make Him the third generation of God-King.

In any case, following fate, Zeus is the rightful king of the gods.

But the most important thing now is to witness Cronus's personal campaign.

If He is not mistaken, Cronus' departure symbolizes the end of an era.

Sigrún has taught at the Iceland University of the Arts as a part-time lecturer since and was Dean of the Department of Fine Art from -. In – she held a research position at Reykjavík Art Museum focusing on the role of women in Icelandic art. She studied fine art at the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts and at Pratt Institute, New York, and holds BA and MA degrees in art history and philosophy from the University of Iceland. Sigrún lives and works in Iceland.

To make traveling easier, Kanas continued with the same old routine.

He transformed himself into the wind and entwined himself around Cronus.

Meanwhile, the opponent, relying on his god-king level strength, quickly arrived at the spacetime rift deep within Tartarus.

"I called you here today not only to have you bear witness, but also with the intention of helping you become stronger."

"I will share the authority of the God-King with you, so that you can observe this spacetime rift from a higher-dimensional perspective."

"If you're lucky, you might be able to glean some knowledge about the nature of the world."

Kronos's tone had now shifted to a state that Kanas had never encountered before.

Mentoring younger generations?

Or perhaps it's a kind of resistance and helplessness towards the future.

In any case, Kanas couldn't glean much from those few words.

But Cronus didn't give Kanas much time to think. With a gentle wave of his hand, Kanas felt as if his body had broken free from some kind of restraint and reached a state of "transcendence".

"Is this the boost from the authority of the God-King? It doesn't seem to increase combat power..."

Kanas felt the changes occurring within his body and discovered that this so-called divine authority seemed to be somewhat different from what he had imagined.

In His view, the authority of the God-King should bring enhancements in various aspects such as divine power, authority, and combat strength.

But after experiencing it firsthand, Kanas discovered that the benefits of the God-King's authority were far more complex than that.

Or rather, narrow-minded.

The authority of the God-King is, as its name suggests, a manifestation of status. For a god who has obtained the authority of the God-King, the greatest benefit is actually the ability to see the "underlying code" of the world.

Kanas is experiencing this firsthand.

After sharing the authority of the god-king with Cronus, the rules of the originally gentle and orderly Chaos world, as seen from His perspective, underwent a rather drastic change.

In the region near the spacetime rift, the underlying rules have begun to crumble, and fierce void turbulence howls wildly.

This means that the existence of spacetime rifts is a form of harm and invasion to the Chaos world. From the nature of the two, they cannot coexist or merge.

The outer perimeter, on the other hand, is filled with Tartarus' own abyssal rules.

The original Kanas could not see it, but after gaining the power of a god-king for a short time, He discovered that Tartarus's own rules were more corrosive and inclusive than the vast majority of the rules in the Chaos world.

The abyss contains all things!

It is precisely because of this that the corrosiveness of the spacetime rift in Tartarus is minimized.

The relationship between the spacetime rift and Tartarus is not simply one of suppression or defense, but rather one of mutual erosion and plunder.

However, Tartarus is weaker in size and nature than the spacetime rift, which is why the spacetime rift has always had the upper hand and has been expanding at a rate of one point per hundred years.

After figuring this out, Kanas turned his attention to the spacetime rift itself.

He wanted to try and see if, with the help of the authority of the God-King, he could see through the nature of a part of the spacetime rift.

From His perspective, the spacetime rift has also undergone many changes compared to before.

First, there is a change in nature.

In Kanas's previous view, this spacetime rift was a "scar" belonging to the world, and the other side should be some kind of chaos, or spacetime turbulence.

Within chaos or spacetime turbulence, there exist other spacetime rifts, connecting various worlds.

But in retrospect, His idea was wrong.

Judging from the aura emanating from the spacetime rift, it represents a completely independent and self-contained world order.

However, unlike Chaos's original state, the rules of that world were extremely polarized.

"So, this spacetime rift itself represents the world I'm going to."

"But the question is, how did those gods who arrived in the Chaos world through the spacetime rift get here before?"

"They never mentioned a single piece of information about that world, only about their own world."

Having discovered one truth, Kanas gained even more questions.

The Titans had interacted with gods from other worlds before, and from them they learned of the existence of other pantheons.

But no one has ever mentioned the world the Glaie sisters went to.

There are two possibilities regarding this.

Kanas stared intently at the spacetime rift, his gaze somewhat somber.

"First, my previous conjecture was correct. The spacetime rift connects to more than one world, and what the God-King's authority showed me was not the complete essence of that world."

"Secondly, the gods who crossed the spacetime rift to reach the world of Chaos have experienced memory loss."

Using his divine wisdom, Kanas quickly came to two highly probable conclusions.
