Shu Zi walked over and watched Gu Yan open the bag, revealing a coffee table full of kebabs, chicken wings, corn, and eggplant.

She sat down, picked up a skewer of grilled beef, took a bite, and her eyes lit up: "Wow~ Xiaozhi's recommendation was definitely reliable!"

As she chewed, she suddenly remembered something:

"By the way, Director Liu sent me a message. He said that Sister Han and the others from 'For You I Move' are all available. Once I finish filming, the show should be able to restart."

She looked up at Gu Yan, "Will you have time to go then?"

"Okay, I'll make time for it then."

Shu Zi nodded, then picked up a skewer of fried potatoes, took a bite, and wrinkled her nose: "Not crispy enough."

Gu Yan reached out his hand, and she naturally handed it to him, which he took and ate in a few bites.

"Your flight is early tomorrow morning?" Shuzi asked.

"Um."

"What time is it?"

"Seven o'clock."

Shu Zi silently calculated the time in her mind, then pursed her lips and said, "Then I won't see you off. I can't get up."

Gu Yan smiled slightly: "No need to see me off, you get some sleep."

The two ate and chatted... to be precise, it was Shuzi who was eating.

Gu Yan barely ate anything, only occasionally taking the skewers she couldn't finish from her hand and helping her finish the remaining pieces of meat.

After finishing her barbecue, Shu Zi relaxed contentedly on the sofa for a while before getting up to brush her teeth and wash her face.

When she came out of the bathroom, Gu Yan had already tidied up the coffee table and was standing by the window answering a phone call.

She didn't disturb him, but climbed into bed first and leaned against the headboard to open the script.

When Gu Yan finished his call and came over, Shu Zi's head was already starting to nod.

He chuckled softly, tiptoed to the bedside, and reached out to take the script from her hand.

Shu Zi forced her eyes open and glanced at the sky, then closed them again: "What time is it...?"

"It's almost midnight, go to sleep."

She shrank deeper into the covers, then, remembering something, groggily opened one eye to look at him:

"When you leave tomorrow... please call me."

Gu Yan sat down on the edge of the bed and reached out to brush the stray hairs from her forehead: "Weren't you unable to get up?"

"What if I can get up..." Her voice grew softer and softer, the last syllable almost swallowed by the pillow.

Gu Yan looked down at her for a few seconds without saying anything, then leaned down and kissed her forehead before getting up and turning off the light.

In the darkness, he lay down and reached out to pull her into his arms.

The next morning, before it was fully light.

Gu Yan's alarm clock vibrated. He reached out and turned it off, then glanced at the person in his arms.

Her breathing was even and deep, her eyelashes were quietly covering her face, and she was fast asleep.

He gently withdrew his hand from her waist, moving very slowly, but she still shifted uncomfortably, her brow furrowing slightly.

He stopped what he was doing and waited until she was sound asleep before slowly getting up.

After a quick wash and changing his clothes, he went back to the bedside.

Shu Zi turned over, rolled up most of the blanket, and exposed a section of her calf.

Gu Yan glanced down, bent down, pulled the blanket back, and covered her up again.

He stood by the bed for two seconds, then leaned down and placed a very light kiss on her forehead.

Shu Zi mumbled an "Mmm" in her sleep, turned over, and then fell silent again.

He silently curled the corners of his lips, got up and walked to the door, then glanced back at the swollen figure on the bed before gently closing the door and leaving.

Shu Zi was woken up by her own alarm clock.

She groggily reached for her phone on the bedside table, turned off the alarm, turned over, and habitually reached out to touch it.

It's empty; the blankets are already cold.

She opened her eyes, stared blankly at the empty pillow beside her for two seconds, and then slowly sat up.

There was an unread message on my phone from Gu Yan: "I'm leaving. Breakfast is on the table. Remember to eat it."

The sending time is shown as 6:50.

She stared at the message for a few seconds, then typed back: "Received."

Then I put down my phone, lifted the covers, and got out of bed.

The subsequent filming schedule was tight but went smoothly.

As the character Shen Ji gradually finds peace in the script, Shu Zi's state of mind also becomes much more relaxed.

Those heavy emotions seemed to be gradually unloaded as the character was freed.

The more she filmed her scenes with Qu Xuan, the more tacit their chemistry became. Many shots were completed in one take, and Director Fei, sitting behind the monitor, smiled more and more each day.

Since the last time, Lin Man has become completely well-behaved. She behaves properly during filming and rarely stays on set after work. When she sees Shu Zi, she will avoid eye contact and take a detour.

Shu Zi didn't pursue the matter further, and the two finished filming the remaining scenes together peacefully.

On the day filming wrapped, the final scene took place back in the coffee shop where they first met.

In the script, Shen Ji and Wen Yu sit in the same spot, separated by the same table, with sunlight streaming in from the same angle.

They didn't speak, but sat quietly, each looking out the window as if it were their first meeting.

But this time, Shen Ji's gaze was no longer empty, and Wen Yu's smile was no longer weary.

A moment later, Shen Ji lowered her head, picked up her coffee cup, and a faint smile appeared on her lips. Wen Yu looked at her and smiled as well.

The director didn't call "cut," and the camera quietly zoomed in for almost a minute before the long-awaited "cut" finally came.

The set fell silent for a moment, then erupted in enthusiastic applause and cheers.

Shu Zi and Qu Xuan put down their coffee cups at the same time, smiled at each other, and then hugged each other gently.

Qu Xuan released her and said with a smile, "Shen Ji, congratulations, you've finally let yourself go."

Shu Zi smiled and replied, "Wen Yu, you too, you don't need to pretend anymore."

After they finished speaking, they both laughed at the same time.

Staff members surrounded them to present flowers and take photos. Director Fei walked over, patted the two on the shoulder, and said, "Thank you for your hard work."

The set was filled with the relaxed and lively atmosphere that comes with wrapping up filming.

Holding a bouquet of flowers, Shu Zi finished taking a group photo and then began searching through the crowd.

Fang Zhizi squeezed through the crowd, handed her her phone, and winked:

"Sister Zizi, Yan Shen said he's already waiting for you outside the film set."

Shu Zi took the phone, a smile curving her lips. Without even changing out of her costume, she simply threw on a coat and hurried out.

A black car was parked quietly at the entrance of the film set.

Gu Yan leaned against the car door and straightened up when he saw her get out.

Shu Zi quickened her pace and walked up to him, looking up at him with bright eyes:

"Why are you here? Didn't you say Sister Wen would take me home?"

Gu Yan reached out and tucked a strand of her wind-blown hair behind her ear, his voice tinged with amusement:

"It's such a big day for my baby to finish filming, of course I have to come and pick him up in person."

Shu Zi's eyes crinkled into a smile. She tiptoed and kissed him on the chin, then looked down at her costume.

"Wait for me a moment, I'll go back and change my clothes first."

After saying that, he turned around and ran towards the film set.
