Border Prisoner: The Mad Boss Seduces Her Every Night
Chapter 16 Pleasing
The warmth of Xu Yuanjia's palm was completely opposite to the coldness he exuded.
He held her there, motionless, as if watching a prey finally caught struggle in the palm of his hand.
Two shadows were reflected in the glass, and her figure swayed gently, as if swept away by a gust of wind, with nowhere to escape. He stood neatly dressed behind her, his expression hidden in the shadows, only his eyes as cold as ice in the depths of winter.
Shi Luyu dared not utter a sound or move. She could feel the dangerous aura behind her creeping in little by little, like a net slowly tightening.
Xu Yuanjia's fingertips slid to the side of her neck, and she could feel the warmth of his fingertips and the condescending control they exuded.
He reached out and pulled off his tie.
A dark gray silk tie wrapped around his fingers once, then around her from behind to the front, slowly wrapping around both of her wrists twice.
The man led her to face the reflection in the glass and clicked his tongue lazily:
"Look closely at yourself now, see what you look like."
Shi Luyu turned her head away, closing her eyes in shame and indignation.
She couldn't bear to look. Of course she knew what she looked like: tears streaming down her face, her hair disheveled, his tie wrapped around her wrist, like a captured rabbit, wretched and pitiful.
"Not going to watch it?" The man's tone held no displeasure, but rather a hint of nonchalant indulgence. "Then let's watch something else."
Just as Shi Luyu breathed a sigh of relief, a loud barking suddenly came from outside the door! It was extremely sharp, clearly from a dog that was starving, a frantic roar accompanied by the screech of drooling and the ear-piercing sound of chains dragging on the ground.
Her blood froze instantly.
"Stand up." Xu Yuanjia pulled her up from the ground like he was lifting a cat.
Shi Luyu stood up unsteadily, instinctively backing away, but he grabbed her shoulders, pinning her in place, facing the door.
"Don't block me." His voice came down from above her head.
He dragged her to the door and turned on the monitor screen next to the door with one hand.
The screen lit up, and the blue and white light illuminated the lower half of his face beneath the mask, making him appear as cold and white as a statue.
He swiped a few times, bringing up the view outside the door.
Shi Luyu's pupils contracted sharply when she saw the content on the screen.
A man stood in the hallway outside, his skin dark, wearing a dirty camouflage vest that revealed two arms covered in tattoos. He held a heavy iron chain in his hand, the other end of which—
It's a big dog.
The dog was so thin that its ribs bulged out, its fur was dull, its eyes were cloudy and fierce, and sticky drool hung from the corners of its mouth. It paced anxiously in front of the camera, the chain clanging as it struggled, its claws leaving white marks on the ground.
"Alan," Xu Yuanjia said to the screen, his voice not loud, but carrying an undeniable air of authority.
The man in the video immediately lowered his head and began to report in a hoarse voice. He was speaking in a Thai dialect, very quickly, and Shi Luyu could only vaguely make out a few words... "dog," "cage," "starved for a long time."
Xu Yuanjia listened, a slight smile curving his lips. He casually turned the camera downwards, revealing a dog's face that filled the entire screen, its open mouth revealing yellowed canine teeth, drool dripping from between them.
"Do you know him?" he asked.
Shi Luyu shook her head. Of course she didn't know him.
"This is the hunting dog that was specially used to hunt you down the day you ran away." Xu Yuanjia's tone was playful, as if he were telling an interesting story. "It followed your scent for a long time, through that forest, across that stream, all the way to the roadside. When it came back, its legs were covered in thorns and its mouth was full of mud."
As if in response to his words, the dog on the screen suddenly let out a low growl, the sound of its throat rolling so loudly it sent chills down one's spine even through the screen.
"You escaped." Xu Yuanjia's voice softened. "It failed to hunt for food and went hungry for a whole month."
He leaned down, his lips almost touching her earlobe: "Do you think it would recognize you if it smelled you now?"
Shi Luyu felt ice-cold all over. He actually said it so casually, that if she hadn't managed to escape that day, she would have become this dog's food.
They were either killed or eaten.
The man was torn to pieces by a starving dog that was specially trained to hunt live people.
She stared at the frenzied beast on the screen, her mind blank.
"I have two choices now." Xu Yuanjia's voice came from behind her ear, and the hand gripping the back of her neck tightened, his knuckles digging into her cervical vertebrae, causing her eyes to sting with pain.
"First, let it in. Close the door, and you two are alone for ten minutes."
His finger swiped across the screen, and the dog in the picture seemed to sense something, frantically pawing at the ground, the sound of its claws scraping against the earth sharp and piercing.
"Second, you choose." His voice was slow and deliberate as he presented a multiple-choice question: "Do one thing that satisfies me, and I won't let it come."
Shi Luyu's lips were trembling violently. Fear had caused her to hallucinate; she could almost feel the dog's hot, wet breath on her calves.
"Speak," he commanded.
Shi Luyu's voice shattered into pieces, and tears finally broke free, falling in large drops.
"I choose... the second one."
She had no choice.
"Okay." Xu Yuanjia smiled with pleasure, loosened his grip, and shook her off.
She stumbled and almost fell. He turned and walked to the sofa, sat down, crossed his legs, and exuded an elegant air like a nobleman. His black and gold mask gleamed coldly in the dim light.
He parted his thin lips slightly and uttered two words: "Begin."
Then he leaned back lazily, tilted his head, and looked down at Shi Luyu, who was kneeling on the ground trembling. His voice was as soft as a compassionate sigh:
"Don't let me down."
Outside the door, the fierce dog let out a piercing grinding sound, followed by the sharp sound of claws scratching at the door: hiss, hiss!
One stroke at a time, like sharpening a knife.
Shi Luyu closed her eyes in pain.
Tears welled up in her eyes, streaming down her cheeks and dripping onto her clenched fists.
She took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down. Shaking was useless, crying was useless. She had been saved from the mountains; she couldn't let her life end here.
She struggled to her feet.
Her clothes were tattered, her long hair was disheveled and hanging down her shoulders, and the row of ties at the back was completely untied. She had to use her arms to hold the velvet fabric in place so that it wouldn't slip off completely.
As the girl passed the coffee table, she swayed and lost her balance. Suddenly, her knee buckled, and with a muffled thud, her leg slammed into the edge of the coffee table.
The force was intense, and a sharp pain exploded instantly, spreading from the outside of the thigh all the way to the waist.
Shi Luyu let out a muffled groan, tears welling up uncontrollably. She braced herself on the edge of the coffee table with one hand and covered the spot where she had been hit with the other.
She bit her lip, not letting out a sound.
It hurt so much. She was trembling all over, like a withered leaf blown away by the wind, thin and fragile, ready to shatter at the slightest touch.
The man on the sofa didn't even look up.
Xu Yuanjia lowered his eyes, his slender fingers stroking the rim of the wine glass, as if admiring the wine stains clinging to the glass.
Her pain, her tears, and the rapidly spreading bruise on her thigh seemed to be outside his field of vision.
Or perhaps, they are all there, but he simply doesn't care.
unreasonable.
No word can adequately describe him. He is devoid of emotion; the suffering of others is, to him, perhaps merely a color, or a garnish to accompany a drink.
Shi Luyu gritted her teeth and stood up, supporting herself on the edge of the coffee table.
She walked with difficulty around the coffee table, step by step toward the sofa.
As she passed the sofa armrest, her fingers silently reached out in the darkness—and touched it.
A cold, metallic wine opener sat on a small tray under the coffee table, mixed in with several corks and a cigar cutter.
Taking advantage of the moment she bumped into the coffee table, she quietly slipped the sharp weapon into her hand and hid it in the folds of her scattered skirt.
The movement was very light, almost silent.
