Border Prisoner: The Mad Boss Seduces Her Every Night
Chapter 163 Piercing His Heart
From then on, life became like a string that was repeatedly stretched taut, but about to break.
She said no more than ten sentences to him each day.
She sat down across the table and put down her chopsticks.
"I can't eat if you sit across from me."
He changed seats and sat next to her.
She pushed the bowl away, saying, "You're too close to me, it makes me nauseous."
He patiently stepped back a short distance, but she remained within his sight.
She lay in bed with her back to him that night, saying, "I can't sleep with you lying next to me."
He turned off the light, didn't lie down, and sat on the carpet by the bed all night.
The next day when she went downstairs, she saw that he had placed a pillow and a thin blanket on the side of the bed where she had slept the night before.
She stood at the door for two seconds.
"Don't you sleep in the bed?" she asked.
He leaned against the bedside table, holding a tablet computer and looking at documents, without even looking up.
"You talk in your sleep," he said.
"What did I say?"
"I couldn't hear clearly, but the tone was fierce."
She walked over and kicked the pillow. "Take the pillow away."
Why?
"It's an eyesore." She frowned in disgust.
He glanced at her, but didn't touch the pillow. "You can try throwing it out yourself tonight."
He started holding her while eating every day. His arm would wrap around her waist from behind, while his other hand held chopsticks, picking up food and bringing it to her lips.
As she turned her head, the food fell onto the table, leaving a dark stain from the sauce.
"I can eat by myself!"
"I know." He picked up another piece of fish, "but I want to feed you."
"Can't you just eat your own food?"
"Okay," he said. "I'll eat after you finish."
She reached out and knocked the chopsticks out of his hand. The chopsticks bounced to the ground and rolled to the foot of the table.
She finally couldn't hold back anymore: "Xu Yuanjia, this is disgusting."
He bent down, picked up the chopsticks, replaced them with clean ones, picked up some food again, and held it to her lips, asking slowly, "Which one is disgusting?"
"It's like feeding a pet," she said, extremely dissatisfied.
He thought for a moment, then asked, "So, are you?"
She stared at him. "I...no, I am."
"Then it isn't," he said. "Open your mouth."
She was completely unable to communicate with him, her heart filled with intense resentment, and she forced herself to open her mouth.
He took a bite of the fish, chewed it, and swallowed it.
She chewed very slowly, as if she were forcefully swallowing something she didn't want to swallow.
After finishing his meal, he drank the remaining half bowl of soup she had left, picked up the water glass she had used, and drank the last sip.
As she watched him put down his water glass, her voice was flat: "You even drink what I've already drunk from, don't you think that's dirty?"
"I've touched every part of your body." He looked at her. "Now you ask me if I feel dirty?"
She turned her head away, no longer looking at him.
He would still hold her while he slept at night.
The man's strong arms wrapped around her waist from behind, his palms pressed against her lower abdomen, and his breath fell on the back of her neck.
Shi Luyu's body stiffened. Once his breathing became even, she began to move inch by inch toward the edge of the bed.
He would pull her back into his arms after she moved an inch away.
"Xu Yuanjia," she spoke in the darkness, "don't you think this is romantic?"
His voice came from behind her ear, low and hoarse from just waking up: "Unromantic."
"So what exactly do you mean?"
"I can't sleep without you next to me."
"..." she said, "Then you deserve it."
"Yeah, serves him right."
Day 23.
She found an open window in the storage room at the end of the second-floor corridor.
The window frame is an old-fashioned wooden structure, the paint has peeled off, the latch is rusted, and brown powder is rusted from the edges.
She checked twice to make sure no one was in the hallway.
The guard is stationed at the top of the stairs and won't pass through this corner.
A month later, she finally found another opportunity to escape.
She went back to her bedroom and dragged a chair out, the chair legs scraping loudly on the floor.
She tested the strength of the latch, then barely managed to lift the chair and slammed it down on the window.
"Splash!"
The wooden frame cracked, the glass shattered, and shards fell onto the concrete ground outside.
She pushed the chair aside, stepped onto it, and strode one leg over the windowsill.
A sudden gust of night wind rushed in.
She gripped the edge of the window frame with one hand, while the other dangled in mid-air, unable to reach anything. Her skirt billowed in the wind, leaving her suspended halfway between the second and third floors.
She almost lost her grip, but at that moment, her parents, who were far away, were her only motivation.
in the dark.
A pair of arms reached down from above, grabbed her wrists, and pulled her upwards.
He lifted her back almost effortlessly, grabbed her waist, and pulled her back through the window.
Her back slammed into his chest, his arm brushed against the shards of glass remaining on the window frame, the sharp edges tearing his cuffs and skin.
Blood immediately gushed out, flowing down the back of his hand and dripping onto her skirt.
"Ugh...!"
She was thrown to the floor, her back hitting the ground, the impact making her chest feel tight.
He stood before her, his right hand hanging by his side, blood seeping from a wound on his arm.
"Third floor." His voice wasn't loud, but it was very low. "If you fall, you'll be crippled, but you won't die."
Shi Luyu got up from the ground, her knees aching from the impact. Without even looking at him, she lunged at the broken window again.
He reached out and grabbed her shoulders, turning her around.
Her back slammed against the wall, and his hands braced against her ears, trapping her between the wall and himself.
Moonlight streamed in through the broken window and fell on his face.
"You won't die from the fall. Even if you're crippled, I'll take care of you for the rest of my life." His voice was low and hoarse. "Shi Luyu, think carefully before you jump."
"You think I wouldn't dare?"
"I know you dare."
He looked down at her. "But I won't let you fall. You jump once, and I'll catch you once."
"Then you'd better be able to catch every single one." Her fingers curled at her side and touched a sharp piece of glass on the ground.
She grasped it, without hesitation, twisted her wrist, and fiercely plunged it into his chest.
Glass pierced the shirt, then the flesh.
Xu Yuanjia's body froze for a moment, but he did not retreat.
He looked down at her hand and the shard of glass embedded in his chest. Blood seeped from the wound, trickling down the edge of the glass and dripping onto the back of her hand.
Her fingers were also cut by the sharp glass; her blood mingled with his, dripping down her wrist and onto the floor between them.
She stood in the shadows, the moonlight only reaching her shoulders and chin.
"Xu Yuanjia," her voice was as calm as ice in the darkness, "Do you think you can keep me locked up?"
