Border Prisoner: The Mad Boss Seduces Her Every Night
Chapter 89 Everyone calls him "Master"
The fire escape door closed behind me, plunging the world into darkness.
Only a sliver of light leaked in through the tiny vent at the corner of the stairs, illuminating Xu Yuanjia's jawline—a cold, white line, like the reflection of a knife's edge.
Shi Luyu was pinned against the wall by him, her back pressed against the cold tiles. His body heat covered her from the front, the cold and heat intertwining on her body, making it impossible to tell which was more chilling.
"Are you scared?" His fingers ran through her hair and gripped the back of her head.
She felt his fingertips gently press on her scalp, and then his breath fell on her brow, on the tip of her nose, and on the corner of her mouth.
Each pause seemed to be waiting for her to come forward on her own.
She was too embarrassed to respond, but had nowhere to retreat, so she muttered, "Even if I say I'm scared, my brother won't stop..."
He smiled happily and lowered his head to suckle her neck: "Clever."
The motion-activated lights in the hallway were off above them. Shi Luyu's breathing became more and more rapid. Every time a certain spot was touched, a short sound would escape from her throat, occasionally activating the sluggish motion-activated light above her head.
The lights came on, and the dim yellow light shone down from above, illuminating his drooping eyelashes and her blushing ear tips.
The light lasted only a few seconds. Darkness surged back, even darker than before.
Her fingers gripped the fabric of his shirt on the back, tightening, loosening, and then tightening again with his movements.
He chuckled softly amidst the repetitive movements, "Such an easily teased little bunny." The laughter muffled in the crook of her neck, sending a shiver down her spine. The light came on again.
She saw his eyes, his dark pupils reflecting her blurry face.
He said, "How do you think the older brother should enjoy the little rabbit?"
Her lips were sealed, and the light went out again after turning on for the third time.
Only the intertwined breaths of two people remained in the fire escape, one heavy, the other light, like two tangled threads that could not be untangled.
……
The next day, Shi Luyu's legs were still weak when she came out of the apartment. Xu Yuanjia had already left and no one knew where he was.
The school gate was busier than usual.
Lin Wanqing, sitting in an electric wheelchair, was surrounded by several female classmates as she walked through the school path. The bandage on her right ankle had been replaced with a thicker plaster cast, and she deliberately lifted her skirt to reveal a section of white, as if afraid that others would not see it.
Wherever her wheelchair passed, everyone automatically made way, their eyes following her. Like a flower held in the palm of everyone's hand, her injury only made her more dazzling.
Shi Luyu glanced at him from afar, intending to keep to herself. But when she went to get water during break, she saw Xu Chenglin.
His extremely short-shaved head stood out among the Southeast Asian students. Under the palm trees behind his teaching building, opposite him sat Lin Wanqing in a wheelchair, and Xu Chenglin bent down to whisper something in her ear.
Shi Luyu shrank back behind the wall. Those two people, one hated Xu Yuanjia so much he wanted to kill him, and the other was so desperate to marry Xu Yuanjia that he was insane. What good could come of them getting together?
Xu Chenglin straightened up to leave, but suddenly turned his head and glanced in the direction where Shi Luyu was hiding. He grinned, whistled, and said loudly, in a nonchalant manner, as if greeting someone, or perhaps taunting them:
"Let's go, little beauty."
"I don't know if we'll have a chance to meet again next time."
It's implied, but I don't know who it's meant for.
Shi Luyu ignored her and took her water cup back to the classroom.
After school in the afternoon, the setting sun painted the school building orange-red.
Shi Luyu, carrying a camera bag, came out of the side door, heading to the bus stop. A wheelchair appeared behind her, blocking her way.
Lin Wanqing sat in her wheelchair, her hands resting on the control lever, her posture as elegant as if she were driving a luxury car.
Even while in a wheelchair, she changed into two new dresses in one day. This one was dark green, which made her skin look even whiter. Her injured foot rested on the wheelchair footrest, and the cast was covered with her classmates' names.
"Excuse me." Shi Luyu moved to the left, and her wheelchair moved to the left as well. She moved to the right, and her wheelchair moved to the right as well.
Lin Wanqing raised her head, her gaze slowly sweeping down from Shi Luyu's face and landing on her neck. The pink diamond rabbit necklace wasn't being worn today; the neckline was bare, completely empty. She smiled smugly.
"Why are you hiding? I'm not going to eat you."
Shi Luyu stopped and looked at her. "I'm not avoiding you. Just say what you have to say."
Lin Wanqing tilted her head, her fingers tapping lightly on the armrest of her wheelchair, one tap at a time, unhurriedly. "I heard that you were deceived by A Yuan."
Shi Luyu's heart skipped a beat, and she felt herself sinking.
"Who told you that? Xu Chenglin?" Her voice steadied, but her fingers trembled. She didn't want to listen anymore. Before leaving, out of kindness, she reminded Lin Wanqing, "You'd better not get too close to Xu Chenglin."
Lin Wanqing scoffed, "You should worry about yourself."
"I thought you were just recklessly trying to climb the social ladder, but I didn't expect you didn't even know what kind of person A-Yuan really was. It seems that you don't mean much to him at all."
Shi Luyu stopped and turned to face her: "When are you going to stop making a scene? I'm not your competitor, because it was Brother Jiajia who pursued me."
Shi Luyu continued to retort, "There's no proof of your relationship at all. I haven't even seen the engagement ring. I don't understand what's so proud about you throwing yourself at a man like this."
No matter how good others are, it's not as good as living your own life wisely.
Lin Wanqing's expression changed for a moment. "You think you're so clever?!" She then sneered, "Brother? Only you would dare call him that. Do you think he's some ordinary college student? Do you know what everyone calls him outside?"
Seeing Shi Luyu stunned, Lin Wanqing curled her lips into a vicious smile and said, "Everyone calls him—'Master'."
Shi Luyu was deeply shaken.
That word was like a nail, driven from my ear into my brain, and deeply embedded in my heart.
Grandpa...? The character "Jia" in Jiajia's brother's name... The two characters sparked a series of images in her mind—the suffocation in the bathtub, the wild beast in the cage, the panting in the secret room, the coercion on the lotus platform of the Blackwater Temple... All the images flipped up at the same time, superimposed on Xu Yuanjia's smiling face.
Is that right?
Is that really the case?
Could it be that she's making this connection?!
Her stomach churned, her face turned as white as paper, and not wanting to continue the argument, she left absentmindedly.
Lin Wanqing sat in her wheelchair, watching her stiff figure disappear at the end of the corridor, and slowly withdrew her gaze. She propelled the wheelchair into the teachers' lounge on the first floor of the activity building.
"Teacher Gu, I've cleared all the obstacles. The marriage between our two families will proceed smoothly," she said calmly.
No one answered.
The curtains were drawn in the lounge, making it dimly lit. The computer screen on the desk was black, the chair was empty, and the cup that Teacher Gu often used to brew goji berries was also not on the table.
"Teacher Gu?" she called again, her wheelchair turning slightly on the wooden floor. "Gu—"
"Stop yelling."
The sound came from the sofa in the corner. Xu Yuanjia sat there, his long legs crossed, one hand resting on the armrest, the other holding his phone and scrolling through it. The light from the screen flickered on his face. He didn't look at her, his tone casual as if he were asking what he had for lunch:
"The old man's old illness has relapsed, so your teacher, Mr. Gu, has rushed back."
Suddenly, he looked up at her, a strange smile spreading across his lips, but his eyes held no joy.
"You're all alone now."
