Wen Rushi watched as the yin energy above the battlefield grew heavier and heavier, and the battlefield became increasingly chaotic.

The soldiers of the Great Jin Dynasty attacked the deserted areas with madness, while the barbarian soldiers on the sidelines reaped the lives of the Great Jin soldiers as easily as slicing melons and chopping vegetables.

Wen Rushi's gaze grew colder and colder.

The person behind this actually lured the vengeful spirits of the Jin Dynasty to the battlefield to attack the Jin soldiers. This method is truly insidious.

If the spirits were from the barbarian side, Wen Rushi would not hesitate at all. He would draw a lightning-summoning talisman and draw the heavenly lightning to the battlefield, directly sending those barbarian ghosts away.

However, these are all the dead souls of the Great Jin, and many of them are Great Jin soldiers who died on the battlefield.

Such a brutal approach is unacceptable.

However, if we don't do this, and delay even a little longer, more people will die.

Wen Rushi gritted her teeth. That's it, she couldn't hesitate any longer.

Hesitating any longer will only lead to more deaths!

She concentrated her spiritual power in her chest and did her best to make her voice resonate throughout the entire battlefield.

"Thus have I heard. At one time, the Buddha was in the Trayastrimsa Heaven, preaching the Dharma to his mother. At that time, countless worlds in the ten directions... inexpressible, inexpressible..." (Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Sutra)

Every word from the Buddhist scriptures resonated throughout the battlefield, like the sound of a bell exploding in everyone's ears, leaving them in a daze.

Legend has it that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva governs all the ghosts in hell, but now the souls of the dead have flowed from hell to the human world, and today she will use this "Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Sutra" to send them back.

I heard the voice, imbued with spiritual power, each verse accompanied by the supreme Dharma.

In a short while, a golden light suddenly appeared in the sky above the battlefield, and a golden lotus emerged from the golden light.

The stroke on the battlefield stopped at that moment.

The menacing ghosts froze in place.

The soldiers on the battlefield were so shocked by this scene that they forgot where they were and what they were doing.

They stared blankly at the golden lotus growing larger and larger above them.

Holy golden light shone on the blood-stained battlefield.

The smell of blood seemed to have lessened somewhat.

The one who made Jinlian grow bigger and bigger was the woman outside the battlefield who lowered her eyes and chanted scriptures.

Hearing this, he recited faster and faster, reciting more and more scriptures.

Each word she uttered transformed into a golden light and merged into the lotus flower.

The lotus flowers grew larger and larger, and the golden light became more and more intense. Small golden lotuses flew out and landed on the dead souls and vengeful ghosts on the battlefield.

As soon as the golden lotus landed, it gradually lost its previous terrifying appearance, and then one by one it was guided into the golden light, and finally disappeared.

Wenru stopped only after the last vengeful ghost disappeared.

As it stopped, the golden lotus in the sky slowly disappeared, leaving only a strangely shaped cloud.

The cloud had a very peculiar shape, like a bodhisattva standing on the horizon, holding a staff, looking down upon all living beings.

Wenru bowed to the cloud, and after a short while, the cloud slowly dissipated in everyone's eyes, leaving only a small cloud, as small as a water droplet.

The people on the battlefield came to their senses.

It is unknown who launched the attack first.

The two sides clashed again.

"I will not become a Buddha until hell is empty." It is unknown how many times this human story will repeat itself before that great Bodhisattva can save all the souls in hell who represent sin.

Without a second thought, Wen Rushi turned her horse around and rode away from the battlefield.

In this battle, Yue Lingyuan's Yue Family Army narrowly defeated the barbarian army.

After hearing this, he stayed behind to save people.

This time, Wen Rushi was not as relaxed as last time.

Although Yue Lingyuan and his soldiers killed many people later, they had already lost a lot of people to the barbarian soldiers earlier.

Fortunately, Yue Lingyuan had given prior instructions to have everyone form teams of ten, which helped them withstand the initial setback.

After returning from the battlefield, Yue Lingshan immediately went to find Wen Rushi.

Even though Wen Rushi was busy saving people, she didn't leave and stayed by her side to help.

After Wen Rushi finished her work, Yue Lingshan, like a sycophant, brought over a meal.

"Sister-in-law, you must be tired from working. Have something to eat first."

Wen Rushi knew that Yue Lingshan had been by her side wanting to ask her something, so she did not refuse Yue Lingshan's kindness.

Just then, she was also a little hungry, so she took the bowl and chopsticks and started eating.

After she finished eating, she looked up and saw Yue Lingshan and Yue Lingyun and Xiang Ying, who had arrived at some point, staring at her expectantly.

Seeing that her sister-in-law had finished eating, Yue Lingshan finally couldn't hold back any longer. "Sister-in-law, what were you chanting on the battlefield today? Not only did it emit golden light, but it also managed to subdue all those ghosts."

As soon as she spoke, the others stared at Wen Rushi with bright eyes.

Wen Rushi took a sip of the tea her sister-in-law handed her and said, "It's just a scripture."

"What scripture is so powerful?" Yue Lingyun asked curiously.

They came to ask Wen Rushi not because they really wanted to learn, but purely out of curiosity and shock.

I couldn't help but want to learn more.

Wen Rushi didn't hide anything, saying, "The Bodhisattva in the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Sutra is in charge of hell, and with the help of spiritual power and vows, this effect is achieved."

"I know about spiritual power, but what is the power of will?" Yue Lingshan asked.

Wen Rushi didn't know how to explain it to them for a moment. After thinking for a while, she said, "Simply put, it's a thought, a firm and unwavering altruistic thought."

Yue Lingshan and the others couldn't understand how a single thought could have such great power.

Xiang Ying couldn't help but ask, "There are so many Bodhisattvas in this world, why is it this one who has such an effect?"

Wen Rushi said, "I don't know about others, but I happened to see that scripture and remembered this passage."

In reality, it was only after hearing of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's great vow that he would not become a Buddha until the hells were emptied, and being deeply moved by the Bodhisattva's supreme compassion, that he read this sutra, and thus resolved this calamity.

Regarding whether hell is empty or not, Wenrushi also has some personal opinions.

If humans are not restrained, they will be devoid of all five vices.

Those who fall into hell are at least guilty of one poison.

With so many people in this world, each possessing the five poisons, it's easy to see that it's impossible to save all the evil spirits of hell from the human eye.

However, it's impossible for humans.

After all, people have limited vision and cannot see things that far ahead.

However, if we consider the time span of gods and Buddhas, and countless eons, then nothing is impossible.

The only difference is whether these people stuck in the latrine struggle a few more times or a few less times.

When Wen Ru thought of this, she couldn't help but laugh, but she also felt a little sad and had a feeling that she couldn't describe in words.

It is the sorrow of a mayfly, born in the morning and dancing at dusk, displaying its ultimate vitality, only to be forced to accept its annihilation.
