A Guide to Raising a Little Human [Vampire Clan]

Even after his leg wound was treated and wrapped in thick bandages, Alpha didn't say a word to him.

Chu Lin's gaze unconsciously fell on the gauze on Alpha's forehead. He wanted to ask how serious his injury was, but when the words were on the tip of his tongue, he didn't know how to start.

After all, he was the one who ran away back then. If he was really worried, he should have stayed with Alpha... Asking him now just feels a bit insincere...

Soon, Chu Lin changed his clothes, rinsed his mouth with the hospital's cleaning solution, had his leg wound treated, and had a bandage applied to the wound on his neck. He was then examined by Alpha, who treated him half as a nurse and half as a family member.

While waiting for Alpha to pay the bill, Chu Lin, wearing a dark blue hospital gown, sat alone on a bench, curled up in a ball.

At that moment, the vampire uncle who was driving approached him.

Jackley stroked his chin, examining the little thing closely. "I don't understand. What's so good about this little thing? Feed? Can you really talk?"

Chu Lin glanced at him, but decided not to argue with him because he was Alpha's friend.

Jackley, however, got excited and reached out to poke Chu Lin's face: "You're not lying to me, are you...why is your face so soft?"

Chu Lin's patience waned a little, and he turned his head away.

"Tsk, this little thing is quite cute. Will it bite vampires?"

Chu Lin finally couldn't hold back any longer, slapped Jackley's hand away, and whispered a warning: "Don't touch me."

Jackley was startled: "Holy crap, he's really good with words!"

Alpha just walked over and said to Jackley, "Let's go."

Chu Lin also stood up on his own, wanting to follow Alpha. But Alpha suddenly stopped and glanced at him.

"You stay here."

Chu Lin was stunned, standing there somewhat bewildered, looking up at Alpha.

Alpha looked away: "Stay here for a few days, I'll come back to pick you up later."

His tone was calm, as if he had already made up his mind. He offered no explanation and did not specify when "some time" would be.

Because of the drastic change in attitude, even Chu Lin could sense the alienation in Alpha's words.

Although no matter how willful or troublesome he was before, Alpha would always indulge him, forgive him, and even seriously consider his outrageous request to date.

But this doesn't mean that Alpha will always be this good to him.

This time it seems he really crossed Alpha's bottom line...

Chu Lin's fingernails were embedded in his palm, which was noticed by a nurse who ran over and pried his hand open.

"Come on, baby, let's go this way."

Chu Lin was led by the hand towards the nearby inpatient area, and she looked back a few times with reluctance.

Jackley said to Alpha, "Seriously, buddy? We finally found him, and you're just going to leave him in the hospital?"

Alpha ignored him: "Think what you want, I'm leaving. Go back by yourself."

Jackley: "Hey, where are you going again? You still have that thing on your head? Last time you fainted, you just got up, dusted yourself off, and wanted to go find your human. The doctor told you to have surgery to remove the blood clots, but you ignored him. Now that you've found him, what are you going to do next?"

Alpha waved his hand: "It's okay, I'll go buy some nutritional supplements first."

Jackley, his face full of questions, just watched as Alpha walked along and then suddenly collapsed.

"Holy crap, please don't die in front of me, I'm begging you!!!"

Chu Lin was led to a ward by a nurse.

It's called a ward, but it's more like a honeycomb-like cubicle, completely enclosed and transparent, three meters long and three meters wide, just big enough to fit a pet's bed and a small table for food.

Apart from the tiny toilet stall in the corner, there is absolutely no privacy.

The nurse added water to his bowl, poured out his food, and then left.

Chu Lin clutched her stomach and lay down in her bed.

He was very hungry, but he really didn't want to eat anything.

The smell of disinfectant around him made him feel uncomfortable, and his wounds ached and itched.

After that, Chu Lin stayed in the hospital alone for three days, spending most of his time sleeping, and Alpha never came to see him once.

On the evening of the third day, the nurse on duty came to check on Chu Lin's condition and write an observation record.

"Oh dear, they look so pitiful."

"Yes, yes, what a beautiful little human! And so well-behaved, it didn't attack me when I got close."

"He looks too young. Is he even an adult?"

"He is under twenty years old, and the owner is not sure of his exact age, but judging from his bone age, he seems to have just come of age."

He was helped to sit up, a nurse took his temperature, and several others changed his dressings.

"Changing the dressing might hurt a little, so please press on him gently to prevent him from running away."

Chu Lin's shoulders and arms were supported.

The nurse began to remove the bandages from his leg.

"It seems a bit inflamed, here's a cotton swab for me."

Chu Lin remained silent throughout, simply watching them change his dressings and bandages.

Seeing that they were about to leave again, Chu Lin couldn't help but grab the hem of one of the vampires' clothes.

"What's wrong, baby?"

Alpha had told him before not to talk to other vampires, and he couldn't cause Alpha any more trouble.

As the transparent door was locked again, the cubicle once again fell into a quiet isolation from the outside world.

They replaced the milk on the table with new milk, and next to it was black granular pet food.

Chu Lin put the empty snack bag on the table and then slowly moved back to her nest.

He closed his eyes, but couldn't fall asleep no matter what.

The sadness that had been suppressed for so long suddenly surged out without warning, along with tears.

The sobbing was especially clear in the quiet night, and tears soaked a small patch of the pillow.
