Alpha stayed at the hospital for a few days, and only after bringing the little human home did she realize that the packages she had ordered were piling up at the door.

The first thing to assemble is the human nest.

It's pink, a fluffy little thing, with a concave area in the middle where you can put a blanket and some soft cushions.

Alpha tested the softness and pointed to the small nest next to the little human sitting beside her: "Yours."

The little human walked to the edge of the nest, lay down as if it were a pre-programmed sequence, then turned its head and buried itself in the nest in frustration.

This performance worried Alpha somewhat:

"Don't you like it?"

The little humans ignored him.

Alpha remembered something and opened some snacks that humans liked to eat.

"Would you like some cookies?"

The little human still did not react.

Alpha: "There's some jerky here too. Let me see, it's beef... It seems a bit tough, you might not be able to chew it."

He searched for a long time and finally found a jar of fruit-filled gummies that claimed to be loved by 99% of people.

Unfortunately, the little human was just one percent and didn't even glance at him.

Alpha was somewhat disappointed and muttered a couple of curses under his breath:

"Unscrupulous merchants, false advertising."

Alpha looked down at the candy again, then turned around and suddenly noticed that the little human seemed to have been stealing a glance at him.

A certain guess quietly arose in my mind.

Alpha leaned closer and brought the candy to the little human's lips, very close.

Finally, the little human turned its head, snatched the candy into its mouth, and began to chew.

In an instant, a tremendous sense of satisfaction overwhelmed Alpha.

Alpha never imagined that one day he would be so fascinated by watching a creature eat.

His little humans are eating.

He's eating the food I give him; being able to eat means he can survive.

The sense of accomplishment he felt from this idea was even greater than when he had taken over the company after eliminating those old shareholders...

Alpha then brought over a whole box of snacks and began trying them out, one by one, to see which ones the little human liked and which ones he could chew.

The little human was cooperative at first, but later seemed to get fed up and said a few words to Alpha, but unfortunately Alpha couldn't understand them, so the little human showed a disappointed look.

Alpha felt a pang of disappointment, along with some confusion.

Although most of the domesticated humans currently do not possess systematic human language, and the vampires do not have much research in this area, he has a hunch that his little humans might be very intelligent and capable of expressing their thoughts in language.

If that's really the case, he's willing to learn human language for the sake of little humans.

Alpha then tried to repeat the syllables spoken by the little human.

The little human's eyes lit up, but he quickly realized that Alpha was just imitating, so his gaze turned to disappointment.

Alpha comforted her, "It's alright, I'll learn."

He placed the human's little nest in the corner of the living room, and next to it was a small wardrobe with water and food containers on top.

The closet contains some easy-to-wear pullovers, most of which are above the knee.

Perhaps because of this emergency hospital visit, which inadvertently treated the little human's discomfort, he remained calm after returning home.

The little human cooperated well when it came time to change clothes, raising his hands high so that Alpha could help him take off his hospital gown and put on warm cotton clothes.

The clothes also have a cute bat icon printed on them.

Next, Alpha dismantled the water dispensers and cups used by humans and taught the little humans how to use them.

"Look here, press it and water will come out. You can use this small teacup to catch it and then drink it."

The little human held a small, transparent cup less than five centimeters long in his hand and skillfully filled it with water to drink.

Alpha patted the little human's head with delight: "So clever."

But when it comes to the feeder, things get a bit more complicated.

At the previous owner's place, the little human relied on intravenous fluids for food and had poor teeth, so it's unlikely that it can eat the pet food that was purchased for the time being.

Alpha then decided to cook for himself and bought some human food ingredients through a deliveryman.

He wasn't particularly interested in cooking food before, since vampires only need blood plasma to survive, and at most they just need to be heated up. Other foods were just novelties and didn't taste much better than chewing paper.

But humans are different.

Humans need to eat a lot of food, including animal meat, milk, eggs, vegetables, fruits, and vitamins. Staple foods are usually bread or rice.

Alpha looked at the human knowledge he found on the tablet, then glanced at some so-called food bloggers' almost raw steaks, and decisively swiped away, finding a pet blogger's human food channel.

In the small earthenware pot on the stove, boiling water simmered with beaten egg liquid and some bright green vegetable bits.

When it was almost finished, Alpha tried to lift the pot by the edge, but was burned and cried out.

The little human sitting in the living room was startled and looked up towards the kitchen.

"I'm fine." After saying that, Alpha couldn't help but chuckle to himself, actually thinking that the little human was concerned about him.

He found a cup and poured some soup into it.

"Drink it."

The little human held the cup in his hand, took a sip with some doubt, and then pushed the cup back.

This is nothing short of a devastating blow to someone who cooks for others.

Alpha was even a little puzzled: "That's right, I followed the steps exactly, down to the water temperature, why don't you like it? This is the most basic cooking..."

Perhaps seeing how pitiful he looked, the little human finally took pity on him and said another syllable to him.

Alpha repeated it.

The little human nodded and recited the monosyllable again.

Alpha then began the search.

He sat on a chair next to the human's nest, flipping through his tablet, and a human peeked over to join him.

Alpha paused, realizing that the little human was actually approaching him.

He began to move with extreme caution, afraid that the little human might be frightened and run away.

The little human was clean and tidy, except for a faint smell of hospital disinfectant and a sweet smell of blood mixed with the scent of his usual shower gel.

Alpha finally understood why some vampires liked to keep humans as pets.

Just smelling it would brighten my mood for the whole day...

Finally, under the supervision of the little human, Alpha found a niche human language translator and repeatedly read aloud the syllables the little human had just read, looking for possible results and icons in the results box.

Although the translator was terrible, the little human and he were both very patient, and finally found the result after an hour.

"Salt?"

The little human nodded immediately when he saw the icon appear on the tablet.

After another frantic search, Alpha finally learned that humans need seasonings to eat, otherwise they would find the food tasteless.

He suddenly remembered something and looked at the pet food channel on TV, where a human was happily eating food that had absolutely no taste.

Alpha frowned and unsubscribed from the channel.

He turned around, smiled at the little human, and said, "I'm sorry, it's my fault. I'll make another one right away."

The little human looked at him with a somewhat bewildered expression.

Alpha couldn't resist ruffling the little human's head, then selectively forgot what he had just learned—that people with bad teeth shouldn't eat too much sugar—and fed him another fruit gummy.
