Pure Love Imprisoned: My Ex-Boyfriend, Who Blamed Me, Imprisoned Me in Love
Chapter 131 Extra Chapter: Days
That evening, Lin Mian texted her father, asking if he was free the next day to have dinner with her aunt, as she had something to say.
Her father didn't agree immediately, but asked Lin Mian what was wrong. Lin Mian had no choice but to tell him that she had gotten married to He Duoye, whom she had dated before.
The following evening, Lin Mian took He Duoye, along with her father, aunt, and aunt's daughter, to a restaurant for dinner.
Lin Mian had met her father a few times when he remarried her aunt. She was an ordinary-looking middle-aged woman who liked to perm her hair, laughed a lot, spoke loudly, and seemed very enthusiastic.
She and Lin Mian didn't usually have much contact, but every time they met, she acted warmly and considerately.
The aunt's daughter was somewhat introverted, always watching Lin Mian from the side as if observing her, and was suppressed by her mother so much that she didn't have much of a presence.
As soon as they sat down, the aunt ordered her daughter to pour water for everyone and to call Lin Mian "sister" and He Duoye "brother-in-law," wishing them a happy marriage.
Her daughter did as she was told, and when she finally sat down, she met Lin Mian's gaze and embarrassedly showed a bit of helplessness towards her domineering mother.
The meal was very lively. The aunt praised Lin Mian for being beautiful and for finding a handsome, talented, and wealthy husband. She said that their future life would definitely be harmonious and happy, without any financial pressure.
After saying that, she turned to talk about her daughter, who is introverted and of average appearance. She wondered if she would be able to find a good job or marry a good man in the future.
Then, changing the subject again, she advised Lin Mian to live a good life with He Duoye, saying that marriage would inevitably have conflicts and disagreements, but that she should be patient, know how to compromise, and work things out gradually...
She spoke loudly, seemingly offering advice, but in reality, she wanted Lin Mian to live her own life well after getting married and not to come back to her father after getting divorced.
Lin Mian listened with her eyes down, without any reaction.
She wanted to say more, but suddenly felt a chill down her back. When she looked up, she saw He Duoye staring down at her with a half-smile on his lips, which was both creepy and oppressive.
The aunt's next words caught in her throat. She gave an awkward laugh and didn't continue.
After finishing their meal quickly, the father walked a few steps slowly, called Lin Mian over, and handed her a red envelope: "As your father, I can't help you much with your wedding, so I can only give you this red envelope."
Lin Mian declined, saying, "No need."
The father insisted on stuffing the red envelope into Lin Mian's hand. Perhaps out of shame, he kept his head down.
"I haven't really taken care of you much since you were little. Your mother passed away early, and I'm just an uneducated, rough guy. I don't know how to be a father, or how to maintain a relationship with you, so I just couldn't be bothered to care."
"Now that I've found your aunt and have your sister as my daughter, I finally know how to be a father. But you're all grown up now, and sometimes I want to make up for it, but..."
He didn't finish speaking, but Lin Mian understood what he meant.
But the aunt hoped that her father would only treat her daughter as his daughter, and not go back to being Lin Mian's father.
"But seeing that you and Duoye have finally gotten together, I'm relieved. You two have always been close since you were little, and now that he's successful, he's still so good to you... I heard from your uncle that you've already bought a motorhome, so I guess your life will only get better and better in the future."
After saying that, he added, "Don't worry, I haven't told your aunt about you and Duoye buying a house and a car. She definitely won't come looking for you anymore."
The father patted Lin Mian on the shoulder: "From now on, live a good life with Duoye."
Lin Mian nodded and said, "Understood."
The father responded with an "eh," stood there for a while, then, having nothing more to say, awkwardly said, "Then I'll be going."
Lin Mian nodded.
The father lifted his foot, crossed the road, and walked to the other side.
His car was parked on the opposite side of the road. The aunt and her daughter were standing in front of the car waiting. The three of them met, said a few words, and then got into the car together.
The car started quickly and drove further and further away.
Lin Mian stood still and watched from afar.
"What did he say to you?" He Duoye walked behind Lin Mian, glanced at Lin Mian's expression, and raised an eyebrow. "Is he sick?"
Lin Mian was both amused and exasperated: "No, he told me to live a good life from now on."
She took He Duoye's hand, shaking off her earlier emotions, and said, "Let's go back."
He Duoye looked down at her: "So what did he tell you?"
Lin Mian lowered her head, the streetlights were bright, casting shadows of her and He Duoye holding hands on the ground.
What did they say...? Something like, "Let's live our lives well together and not interfere with each other."
Even if her father didn't say anything, she and her father had always lived like this, so Lin Mian felt a little melancholy, but not too badly.
She linked her arm with He Duoye's and rested her head on his shoulder: "He said he's doing very well with his aunt and stepdaughter now, and he hopes you and I will too."
He Duoye scoffed, "He doesn't need to hope for it."
They are already living a good life.
Lin Mian smiled, leaned on He Duoye's shoulder, and looked up at him: "Have you eaten enough tonight? Let's go get some late-night snacks later, I want some barbecue."
"OK."

Lin Mian spent a day carefully making a travel plan and itinerary. She only planned the destinations, without setting a time limit. When she got tired, she would stop to rest, and when she got bored, she would go to another place.
She and He Duoye set off on Wednesday noon, traveling and stopping along the way, and it took them half a month to visit two countries.
Midway through the third week of their trip, they arrived at Meizhu and Meili's seaside guesthouse.
The guesthouse is called Gemini. It has only been open for a few months, but it has already become quite famous in the area. If you get lost on the street, just mention the name of the guesthouse and someone will know where it is.
After passing through a grove of trees, Lin Mian saw the back wall of the guesthouse, with a conspicuous sign standing next to it.
"There!" Lin Mian excitedly took a few quick steps and happened to run into Mei Li, who was returning from another route.
After a few months apart, Meili had gotten a shade darker tan, and with her wavy hair and brightly colored floral dress, she looked even more flamboyant and sexy than before.
Upon seeing Lin Mian, Mei Li put down the bucket she was holding, quickly walked over, and hugged Lin Mian.
"You've finally arrived! My sister and I have been looking forward to your visit ever since we heard you were coming, but we've been waiting for half a month." She looked at Lin Mian and praised, "Wow, you've become even more beautiful."
Lin Mian smiled and said, "You too, you've become even more beautiful."
Meili couldn't help but feel proud, saying with a beaming smile, "I think so too. I actually look quite good with a tan complexion. Everyone says I look even sexier."
After saying that, she looked at He Duoye, who was dragging a suitcase behind her, and called out with a smile, "President He."
The He family is gone, and He Duoye is no longer the third young master of the He family, so Meizhu told her to call He Duoye "President He" whenever she sees him again.
"Are you feeling better?" she asked.
He Duoye glanced at her, then pulled Lin Mian forward, saying, "Alright."
Mei Li picked up the bucket full of fruits and vegetables and followed, saying, "That's good, otherwise the honeymoon would be a little less fun."
