Pure Love Imprisoned: My Ex-Boyfriend, Who Blamed Me, Imprisoned Me in Love

Chapter 99 Get off the bus and I'll let you kill me.

Lin Mian's body was also thrown up. Fortunately, her seatbelt was still on, otherwise she would have hit the roof of the car.

The car soared into the air for a moment, then crashed heavily back down, violently jolting and swaying before veering out of control into the woods and finally slamming into a large tree.

The sturdy front of the car deformed slightly, and Lin Mian's body lurched forward, only to be pulled back by the seatbelt.

The explosion was not far away; it had blasted a large crater in the road, and flames scattered around, illuminating the figures of people hidden in the woods. Flashlights then came on, and a dozen or so people emerged, surrounding the car.

Lin Mian's heart was pounding, so nervous that she didn't feel any pain in her body. She reached for the gun in her pocket.

He Duoye then grabbed her wrist, looked at her, and said, "Don't be afraid, everything will be alright."

After saying that, He Duoye shifted gears and quickly reversed the car.

The path through the woods was soft, and the crash had broken many bushes, leaving broken branches everywhere, all obstructing the reversing. The engine roared, the wheels spun violently, but the car only moved slightly.

As soon as He Duoye was reversing, the dozen or so figures quickly surrounded him, and bullets hit the car again, making a ping-pong sound.

Lin Mian couldn't help but think that the car must be riddled with holes by now.

She looked outside nervously, and unexpectedly saw a familiar face behind the figure. She was stunned for half a second, and then Lin Mian remembered his name.

Uncle Mei.

He stood at the very back of the group, with a bald man beside him. The flashlight beam illuminated his face, and as if he knew the people in the car were watching him, he gave an apologetic smile, but the apology looked utterly fake.

The car couldn't reverse out, but the figures had already surrounded it.

"Mianmian," He Duoye called to her, "Stay in the car. No matter what happens later, don't get out."

He unbuckled his seatbelt, gripped his pistol, and looked out the car window.

The figures surrounding the car were all armed, their dark muzzles pointed at every window. He Duoye slowly lowered the window, looked up, and gazed behind one of the figures.

"Uncle Kang Nuo," He Duoye said, his face still bearing his usual nonchalant smile, "I thought you went abroad to retire, but I didn't expect you to be here courting death."

Uncle Kang Nuo stepped out from behind, his face grim and cold: "Third Young Master, you're surrounded by my men, yet you're still so arrogant. Do you think I wouldn't dare kill you?"

He Duoye laughed, showing no fear even with several guns pointed at him.

"Really?" he said, unlocking the car and pushing open the door. "Then I'll get out and let you kill me."

However, He Duoye did not get out of the car. As he opened the car door, he released his grip and threw a grenade. Upon seeing this, some of the other side tried to run away, while others immediately opened fire.

The bullet hit the car body, grazed He Duoye's head, and entered the car, piercing through the seat.

He Duoye rolled up the car window, and a second later, the grenade exploded, the shockwave sweeping around and shaking the car. Through the billowing smoke, He Duoye rolled down the window again and threw another grenade out.

The second grenade exploded, and the shockwave swept violently around the area. The people who had surrounded the car scattered and took cover.

He Duoye got off the car at that moment.

Before the flames and smoke had dissipated, He Duoye, holding a gun, saw someone peek out and fired. His marksmanship was incredibly accurate, and the bullet blew through the center of the forehead.

But some people quickly realized what was happening and began to fight back.

Gunshots rang out back and forth, occasionally hitting the vehicles.

Lin Mian sat inside, her heart pounding so hard it felt like it was going to jump out of her throat. She couldn't help but turn her head to look out the window.

When He Duoye ran out of bullets and was changing the magazine, someone shot him from behind. In that instant, Lin Mian's rapidly beating heart suddenly stopped.

Fortunately, the bullet missed He Duoye. He turned around and shot the person behind him down.

Her heart started beating again, and adrenaline surged. Lin Mian suddenly entered a very calm state. She unbuckled her seatbelt, climbed into the driver's seat, and began to reverse.

They were surrounded by a large number of people, and they didn't know if more would come. They couldn't just sit and wait to die.

She couldn't bear to watch He Duoye fight a group of people with guns on his own.

She couldn't afford to gamble on that one possible outcome.

Perhaps it was the shockwaves from the two grenade explosions that moved the off-road vehicle. After two attempts, Lin Mian actually managed to back the vehicle out.

However, her driving skills were unsteady, and the car veered backward, heading straight towards He Duoye, then grazed his body and knocked away the person who was about to shoot him.

"..."

Lin Mian stepped on the brakes in time and switched to drive. Before she could say anything, a bullet suddenly flew over and hit the windshield, leaving a circular spiderweb-like crater.

Seeing that someone ahead was about to fire, Lin Mian stepped on the gas and rammed into them.

The man was so frightened that he backed away and tumbled down the slope.

Lin Mian rolled down the car window and called to He Duoye, "Get in the car quickly."

He fired two more shots before getting into the car. He closed the door and, while changing the magazine of his pistol, said, "Back up, go over there."

Lin Mian planned to drive away immediately, as she could see enemy reinforcements arriving soon. The car lights were clearly visible in the darkness, speeding up from behind.

Seeing He Duoye's murderous expression, Lin Mian still chose to listen to him, and she clumsily reversed the car. Because she couldn't control the force, she pressed the accelerator too hard, and the car suddenly lurched backward, hitting someone directly.

Lin Mian apologized in her heart, then turned the steering wheel and drove in the direction He Duoye pointed.

There were three people standing in the woods over there. He Duoye suddenly reached out and turned on the car's high beams. The blinding white light swept across, and Lin Mian saw Uncle Mei in the middle of the three.

He Duoye also stared at Uncle Mei.

He had worked with Uncle Mei several times before, and since they were in the same area, they had a lot of dealings with each other. He even helped with the Oman Hotel incident.

But this time, He Duoye took Lin Mian away from the route planning, and he didn't tell anyone except his confidants.

The fact that Uncle Mei would be here is most likely based on his understanding of He Duoye.

Uncle Mei is a treacherous and cunning man, and he is also very shrewd. He Duoye had too much contact with him and had figured out his habits, which is why his betrayal was so deadly.

It's infuriating.

Thinking it over, He Duoye rolled down the car window, leaned out, and aimed his gun at Uncle Mei's sinister head.

Uncle Mei's expression changed drastically, and he kept backing away. His henchmen raised their guns to shoot, but the next second, Uncle Mei was blown to the head by a bullet, and his body slumped to the ground.

The bullets fired by the younger brother banged against the front of the car, shattering the windshield into spiderweb-like patterns.

Behind them, enemy reinforcements were about to arrive, and the car's headlights were already sweeping over them.

Lin Mian didn't stop any longer, stepped on the gas pedal hard, and crashed into the trees to rush forward.
