My Wandering Swordsman
Chapter 3: Watching Movies?
I leaned against the wall, my heart churning.
Now I understand completely.
The monk and the thief teamed up to set up a scheme. During the day, the monk would distract the thief, who would then cut open my bag. After my money fell out, he turned the tables, pretending to help me so he could lure me to a secluded spot, get me drunk, and steal my money...
Are you kidding me?
In my youthful rage, I clenched my fists, wishing I could execute them on the spot.
But thinking of the monk's physique, I pulled my outstretched foot back.
An old master once said, "Bamboo bends but doesn't break, while a pine tree stands tall even under the weight of snow. They're in completely different weights; to confront them head-on is hardly the act of a hero."
After calming down for a moment, an idea came to me, and I swayed back around.
A short while later, the Flower Monk and the Thief finished their private conversation and came in.
Seeing me sitting on the sofa, feeling dizzy and unsteady, he paused for a moment, then smiled and said, "Benefactor, why did you sit up? Lie down a bit more; the sofas in this bathhouse are the most relaxing."
He came up and patted my back with great concern.
I pretended to be drunk and mumbled, "Master, no, I'm so dizzy, I feel like throwing up."
The monk laughed even harder: "Hey~ the local Qianjiang beer is strong, benefactor, lie down, and you won't feel dizzy in a little while."
I snorted inwardly and leaned to the side, my head landing squarely on his chest.
next second.
"vomit--"
I vomited with a "whoosh".
At first, it was fake vomiting, but then the sour taste came back, and I couldn't control it at all.
Five or six bottles of beer, lamb liver, kidneys, and pork intestines, along with the broth, were all vomited up by the strong monk.
"Holy crap!"
The monk sprang up, his bathrobe covered in a large yellow and green stain, juice dripping down his wrists—a truly stimulating sight.
"I'm sorry, Master, I couldn't help it..."
I slurred my words, leaning my head against him, and said, "No, it's happening again."
The flower monk was terrified. He shoved me aside and stumbled back several steps.
"Damn it! You, you stay away!"
He looked down at himself, his face as black as the bottom of a pot, and barely managed to hold back his outburst.
"Please lie down, benefactor. This humble monk will go wash up and change my clothes."
The Flower Monk stripped himself clean on the spot, then turned and left.
"Master, Master..."
I groaned a few times and swayed back onto the sofa.
A few breaths later, snoring began.
I hit it so hard it shook the heavens.
Of course, that was fake too. In reality, I squinted my eyes into slits and stared intently at the doorway.
About three or four minutes later, the curtain at the door was lifted a crack, and a figure crouched down and slipped in.
The sound of footsteps grew louder as they approached.
I felt a hand waving in front of my eyes, and then a pair of thief's hands carefully reached for my wrist.
It's now!
I suddenly opened my eyes.
I'm somewhat wary of that old monk, but you skinny monkey, I could take on ten of you with one hand.
The thief's eyes met mine, and his pupils dilated instantly.
In the fraction of a second he was stunned, I grabbed his wrist with my other hand, and with my right hand I grabbed the ashtray next to me and smashed it down on his face!
"throat--"
The ashtray shattered instantly.
Unfortunately, he dodged, and the blow landed on his shoulder.
"Ouch!"
The skinny monkey was agile; he let out a scream and tried to lunge at me with the other half of his shoulder.
He's nowhere near as fast as me!
A fierce glint flashed in my eyes. I hooked my toe and used a bit of force to strike his groin directly.
That was a solid blow; even a Tyrannosaurus Rex couldn't withstand it, let alone a human.
The thief immediately fell to the ground, clutching his groin and shouting:
"Holy crap! Bro, Hailong Bro... quick..."
His words came to an abrupt end.
Because I had already rushed up to him, holding half a shard of ashtray in my hand, with sharp glass shards pressed tightly against his neck.
A few streaks of blood slid down.
"Don't move." My voice was surprisingly calm. "Move even once, and I'll slit your throat."
The thief froze.
He noticed that my eyes were like a deep pool. Having struggled at the bottom of society for so many years, he knew that these were eyes that truly meant to draw blood.
"Murder is a crime..."
"You set me up, and that doesn't break the law?"
I don't know what I was thinking at the time, but I pushed the glass shards in a little further and said fiercely, "Give me the money! Dare to yell and I'll kill you."
The thief completely chickened out, pulled out a few banknotes from his pocket, and shakily handed them to me.
I took it with one hand, then picked up the locker key that the monk had left under his dirty bathrobe, got up, and went out—the whole sequence of movements was fluid and effortless.
The moment I opened the locker for the monk in the bathhouse, I burst out laughing.
Inside are the monk's robe, Buddha pendant, and his personal cloth bag.
Without time to examine it closely, I pulled a wad of cash from the cloth bag, which I estimated to be less than a hundred yuan. Without hesitation, I stuffed it all into my pocket.
Then I saw the gray monk's robe crumpled up next to me, chuckled, and casually tucked it under my arm.
Walk to the front hall.
"Hello, Master who came with me, please settle your bill."
The receptionist seemed to have a strong impression of the monks visiting the bathhouse, so he didn't stop me and nodded.
Before stepping out the door, I turned back.
"Excuse me, could you please bring another Hongtashan cigarette? Master, please settle the bill."
My womanizing father taught me a principle from a young age: do things without leaving any trace, so you never see them again.
The monk and the thief are no good people; it's better to take advantage of them than not.
Once I was outside, I didn't rest. I started harassing them relentlessly. The monk got the short end of the stick and the thief got beaten up. It would be strange if they didn't come after me and fight me to the death.
My original intention was to find a small hotel nearby, give the owner a pack of Tashan cigarettes, and ask him to help me get by.
Unfortunately, after searching around for a long time, there wasn't a single hotel in sight, not even a house with its lights on.
I glanced at the lighthouse in the distance; it was exactly three in the morning.
It's too late, everyone's already closed and asleep.
I gritted my teeth and thought, why not just have a little fight with that frivolous monk?
As I was pondering this, I casually turned a corner.
"Um?"
I stopped abruptly.
About 20 meters ahead, there was a small warehouse covered with a thick curtain, and light could be faintly seen flickering behind the curtain.
There was a boy in a floral shirt sitting on a small stool by the door.
This is?
I had nowhere else to go, so I quickened my pace.
The man in the floral shirt didn't even lift his eyelids when he saw me coming; he simply opened his mouth and asked:
"Want to watch a movie?"
