I, Yan Jiefang, will live to 2025 in this courtyard house.

At the same time, the Fifth Session of the Seventh National People's Congress passed the "Resolution on the Construction of the Three Gorges Project on the Yangtze River".

This is the only large-scale project in the People's Republic of China that has been submitted to the National People's Congress for a vote.

Of the 2633 delegates present, 1767 voted in favor, 177 voted against, 664 abstained, and 25 did not use the voting machine.

More than 30% of the delegates chose to oppose or abstain, with their concerns focusing on investment, immigration, ecology, and risk uncertainty.

But this is an unstoppable trend; the world's largest hydroelectric power station is about to begin construction.

This major event was broadcast far and wide through newspapers and television.

After seeing the news in the newspaper, Yan Jiefang was so happy that he drank three glasses of wine to celebrate.

Having come from the future, he knew that this was definitely a great thing that would benefit the country and its people.

However, given the current level of technology and engineering in China, it will still take quite some time before power generation can actually begin.

...

After Yan Xueqian returned, the three brothers gathered together and began to allocate the various sports events for this year's Olympic Games.

They plan to participate in 8 projects each!

Finally, the eldest son, Yan Xueqian, decided to participate in eight swimming events instead of track and field events.

Moreover, since it's a single swimming event, all competitions are held in one fixed venue, eliminating the need for travel.

In addition, if he participates in the first 8 swimming competitions, he will have time to finish all his competitions by the 29th.

There will still be time to fly to the Fujitsu Cup Go semi-finals and finals on August 1st.

The second son, Yan Xueheng, chose eight running events. (Relays are not included.)

100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m obstacle course, 5000m, 10000m, 4×100m relay.

The remaining third child had to choose from other projects.

After comparing the options, he could only choose:

110m hurdles, 400m hurdles, 4x100m relay, long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault, shot put, javelin.

In fact, many of the events that Lao San participated in overlapped or were close in time, and most athletes simply did not have enough stamina to participate in these competitions.

例如400米栏决赛时间是8月6日19:00，110米栏决赛是8月6日19:30。

With only 30 minutes between the two events, athletes who have just finished the 400-meter hurdles will find it difficult to have enough energy to participate in the 110-meter hurdles.

The long jump finals also took place on this day, starting in the evening and continuing until the end.

The difficulty is obvious.

Fortunately, Yan Xueyuan is no ordinary person; these difficulties are no challenge for him.

As for Yan Jiefang, being a middle-aged man of 47, he will not participate in this competition.

However, he will accompany the national team to watch the game as a special guest.

For him, securing such a spot was a piece of cake.

In the time that followed, Yan Jiefang continued to stay at home and practice his martial arts without fail.

Besides improving his own cultivation, he also needs to upgrade his sword control technique as soon as possible.

Once he can upgrade his sword control technique to the second level, "Sword Light Across a Hundred Miles," he can attach a bit of his consciousness to the flying sword, allowing it to fly out automatically and attack any target within a hundred miles.

This would give him another means of long-range attack.

However, the difficulty of mastering this sword technique is increasing.

At the current pace, it's estimated that we might not be able to fill in those few dozen points of proficiency by the end of the year.

While busy with their own affairs, the three sons also take time to participate in the national team's training.

They need to not only have sufficient strength, but also be able to make mistakes in terms of technique.

In May, the eldest brother went to Chongqing to participate in the National Go Team Championship, and returned with honors at the end of the month.

At the end of July, Yan Jiefang and his boss, who had already won eight Olympic gold medals, flew to Tokyo, Japan, and then traveled to Nagoya.

The final of this year's Fujitsu Cup will be held here.

In the semifinals, Yan Xueqian's first opponent was Otake Hideo, the only surviving Go master in Japan, the honorary Go saint, nicknamed the "Aesthetic Go Master".

This guy's famous quote is:

"A game of chess, even if you win, cannot be called a good game if the pieces are ugly."

"Victory and defeat are important, but the dignity of the way of chess is even more important."

In this match, Yan Xueqian's unpredictable Go strategies were once again on full display.

Even though Otake Hideo's skill level was also very high, he still fell into a disadvantageous position after the middle game.

No matter how hard they tried afterward, they couldn't turn the tide and could only regretfully stop in the semifinals.

Just as Ohtake Hideo famously said, although Yan Xueqian won, his board position was ugly and could not be considered a good game.

If Yan Jiefang knew his thoughts, he would probably scoff at them:

You're explaining chess patterns to a computer?

Meanwhile, the match between the two chess players, "Reversal King" and "Hercules," has also ended. (The nicknames in the previous chapter were incorrect and have been corrected.)

"The King of Comebacks" won by 4 points with white.

"The King of Reversals" was originally a Go player from Taiwan.

In 1971, he crossed the sea to the island nation, became a student of Gana Gad, achieved professional status at the Japan Go Association, joined the Japanese Go community, and represented Japan in competitions.

The Fujitsu Cup final was between Yan Xueqian and the "King of Comebacks".

Yan Xueqian, playing white, ultimately won by 6 points, claiming the championship and bringing home a Fujitsu Cup for the national team.

Since the final match ended in the evening, the national team decided to rest in Nagoya for one night and then fly back the next day.

Yan Jiefang sat in his hotel room. His meditation for the day had just ended, and it was already past midnight.

He thought to himself, "It's not right to go abroad all this time and not bring back any local specialties."

So he took out a set of dark gray clothes from his spatial storage, put them on, and then his entire body turned into a wisp of smoke and disappeared.

Once high in the sky, after determining the direction, he immediately steered his flying sword southwest.

No one knows where he went, but his space suddenly contained more than 600 tons of gold bricks.

It was half an hour later when he returned to his room.

After daybreak, the national team took the Shinkansen to Tokyo, and then flew directly to Beijing on CA926.

After returning to Beijing, Yan Jiefang had no time to rest before immediately boarding a plane to Europe alone.

He also needs to keep an eye on the matches over there, to make sure nothing goes wrong.

A few days later, Kyodo News and Reuters almost simultaneously released breaking news reports:

A major theft has occurred in Tokyo, with over 1,600 tons of gold stolen from a vault!

This news was like a high-yield bomb exploding, causing an uproar in the global financial world.

It then quickly spread to mass media in various countries.

This news overshadowed the Barcelona Summer Olympics and attracted almost the entire world's attention.
