I, Yan Jiefang, will live to 2025 in this courtyard house.

In mid-December, Manager Ou called, his voice sounding slightly urgent:

"Boss, the year will be over in just over ten days. You can't forget about our record company!"

Yan Jiefang was very puzzled:

"What's wrong? I haven't forgotten our record company. Didn't we go to visit them in July and August?"

Hearing this, Manager Ou wasn't sure if the boss was genuinely unaware or feigning ignorance, so he could only point it out directly:

"Our company's top star, Louis Koo, hasn't released his album yet this year, has he?"

We have collected hundreds of songs, but we are not very satisfied with any of them. Why don't you write one or two songs yourself as the title track for his album?

As for the others, forget about them.

Upon hearing this, Yan Jiefang suddenly realized: he had indeed forgotten to provide songs for several singers in the company this year.

So he comforted Manager Ou:

"Okay, I understand. I'll come to the company in a couple of days."

This year, Bai Gu has really exploded.

Last year, he became an overnight sensation with his English album, instantly rising to the top of the music scene and becoming a highly sought-after A-list male singer.

In addition, his "ordinary" appearance caught the eye of a producer surnamed Li, who invited him to participate in the filming of the TV series "The Return of the Condor Heroes".

Louis Koo plays the male lead, Yang Guo.

This guy's portrayal of Yang Guo became an overnight sensation, attracting countless women confined to their homes and urban housewives. Of course, young and beautiful girls were also drawn to him.

As the saying goes, "One glimpse of Louis Koo and you're hooked for life." Since that year, countless women have become his loyal fans.

Many people were learning for the first time that he had released a best-selling English cassette tape last year, and immediately many people rushed into music stores to find that cassette tape.

This cartridge, whose sales had already declined, suddenly became a hit again and started selling like hotcakes.

Many female fans specifically went to the entrance of E-TV, one reason being to see their idol in person, and another being to ask when their idol's album would be released this year, as they wanted to buy it.

With a constant stream of hit songs emerging, songs that were decent in the past have completely failed to make a splash in recent years.

As the manager of Yishi, Manager Ou, who wanted to develop the company properly, would never want to waste Bai Gu's popularity by making him sing some ordinary songs.

So I had no choice but to ask the boss for help.

...

Yan Jiefang kept his word and arrived at the company two days later.

At the entrance, he noticed a number of women waiting there, wondering what they were up to.

Several elegantly dressed socialites were also sitting in the luxury cars parked on the side of the road.

Manager Ou, who had been eagerly awaiting the arrival of his boss, immediately trotted over with a look of anticipation on his face.

"Boss, you must be tired after traveling for so long."

Xiao Chao, have you no sense of propriety? Go get the boss a cup of coffee right now!

Yan Jiefang waved his hand:

"Forget it, don't bother, I have other things to do later."

As he spoke, he took out a booklet and a cassette tape and handed them to Manager Ou.

"These are the songs for this year. Have Michael Koo practice them properly. If he doesn't know them, he can just sing along with the cassette tape. These are the ten songs we'll release this year."

Then he took out a few sheets of paper, which he didn't know were torn from a notebook, and placed them in Manager Ou's hand.

"You can take other people's songs and distribute them."

Manager Ou immediately accepted these items with a solemn expression:

"Received! I will definitely live up to your expectations and help you make E-Vision bigger and stronger!"

Yan Jiefang waved his hand casually and turned to leave.

He needs to get to Kai Tak Airport to catch a flight to Germany; he doesn't have time to dawdle here.

Once the boss was out of sight, the company's employees swarmed around him.

"Manager Ou, is the boss arranging English songs for Louis Koo again this time?"

Manager Ou gripped the item in his hand tightly, as if afraid something might happen:

"Go away~ I haven't even seen it yet, how would I know?"

Go back to your posts, everyone. I'll let you know once I've organized everything.

...

Inside the recording studio, Manager Ou and the others listened to the songs playing from the cassette tape, their expressions somewhat surprised.

Music producer Lao Zhao was somewhat worried:

"Manager Ou, the songs the boss sings are indeed beautiful, such as 'Far Away,' 'Blue and White Porcelain,' and 'Blue and White Porcelain,' all of which carry a new artistic conception."

But will the market accept it? Could it backfire?

Manager Ou's expression was firm:

"I trust my boss!"

Old Zhao was somewhat helpless:

"Fine, you're the boss, you make the decisions."

...

Because the amount of equipment to be purchased this time is even greater than last time, Yan Jiefang will stay abroad for an even longer period of time.

He didn't return until after New Year's Day.

Despite having made considerable preparations beforehand, there was still some delay at customs.

After all, he is still just a lowly cultivator at the ninth level of Qi Refining, still within the realm of humans, and cannot do everything perfectly.

The new equipment was transported to Jiangcheng via the Yangtze River in mid-January.

Unfortunately, although the land for the car factory has been approved, the construction of the factory will still take a considerable amount of time.

At the current construction speed, a single 40000m² engine workshop would take at least 10 months to complete.

This is just the pure civil engineering construction period.

After completion, the installation and commissioning of various equipment and peripheral auxiliary equipment will likely take more than six months.

During this period, car manufacturers naturally cannot be idle. They can do contract manufacturing for car manufacturers such as Dongfeng, and practice their skills in the process.

After all, the stamping equipment here is among the most advanced in the world.

After returning to China, Yan Jiefang inspected all the factories, provided guidance and corrected some of the problems, and then stayed in the special economic zone for the time being.

On New Year's Day of that year, the World Trade Organization (WTO), which had a profound impact on the economic landscape of later generations, was officially established.

A total of 76 countries and regions became founding members.

Starting from this year, the concept of "globalization" began to be widely discussed.

In a few years, even children in remote areas may hear this concept.

However, China was not able to join.

China's failure to become a founding member of the WTO was not due to its own unwillingness.

Rather, it was due to the obstruction of the United States and other countries and the huge differences between the two sides on core issues that the negotiations for the "re-entry into GATT" failed at the last minute, given the international political environment and negotiation conditions at that time.

This is why China did not become a founding member of the WTO.

Yan Jiefang knew about these things, but even if he knew, there was nothing he could do.

None of these people who play politics on the international stage and rise to high positions are easy to deal with.

Many of them are far more determined and cunning than ordinary people.

Even with the "Heaven and Earth Transformation Technique," it would be difficult to control multiple people, and there is a possibility that it would fail.

If it fails, he himself will suffer the backlash, which is not something he wants to face.

He knew the outcome; other countries would definitely join in eventually, it was just a matter of time.
