Douluo Amon: I am the Heavenly Venerable of the Dragon King.

Chapter 246 The Dancing Chicken

Terrifying energy raged all around, and the next moment, a figure flew backward—it was Wu Changkong!

At this moment, Wu Changkong's face was also somewhat pale. He had used his Martial Soul True Body and unleashed four Soul Skills in succession. Even as a Soul Saint, he was finding it difficult to cope.

However, what concerned Wu Changkong even more was that, in the clash just now, it was actually him who had been at a disadvantage. The other party was far more outstanding than he had imagined; such a person should have joined Shrek Academy to better utilize his talent.

Cai Xukun, who had taken the full force of Wu Changkong's attack head-on, was also in bad shape. As expected of Tianbing Wu Changkong, this attack had almost completely depleted his soul power.

"However, your soul power must be severely depleted right now," Cai Xukun thought to himself, looking at Wu Changkong's pale face.

"Hmph!" Wu Changkong became wary after seeing Cai Xukun look at him, and he prepared to retreat. After all, this was the territory of the Spirit Pagoda, and the other party had the home-field advantage, and could send people to gang up on him at any time.

"Ooh ooh ooh, giggle giggle."

Just as Wu Changkong was on high alert, a sharp sound reached his ears. What was that sound? It sounded like a rooster crowing? This was high in the sky, how could there be a chicken here!

Wu Changkong did not take his gaze off Cai Xukun, but used his mental power to sense the sound and found that it came from below and to his side.

It was a strange black and white creature. You could say it looked like a chicken, but it was far too bizarre. But you could also say it didn't. Those earlier crowing sounds were clearly made by it.

"Giggle giggle..."

The strange creature emitted a peculiar chicken-like cry, while holding a black sphere in its arms. What was that? The opponent's soul skill!

Wu Changkong's spiritual power clearly sensed that the black sphere in the chicken's hand was Cai Xukun's first soul skill: Kun Ball. Although he didn't know what the other party was planning, how could he let it get closer?

The Heavenly Frost Sword was swung, and several frost streaks shot straight towards the chicken.

The instant Wu Changkong moved, Cai Xukun raised the Black Sword again and lunged at Wu Changkong.

"Clang!" Sparks flew as Wu Changkong raised his Heavenly Frost Sword to defend, but Cai Xukun's immense power still managed to suppress him briefly.

"This is bad!" Wu Changkong never expected that one day he would be fought by someone of a higher level, and be suppressed so badly.

That incident with Fors doesn't count. He was careless that time, didn't dodge, and didn't activate his Martial Soul True Body, which is why he was injured by the opponent.

But even with all his methods, he was still thoroughly suppressed by his opponent. Suddenly, Wu Changkong keenly sensed something amiss; his intuition was warning him.

Wu Changkong glanced at the chicken out of the corner of his eye. It was the same chicken from before. The chicken was dodging his frost marks with an unbelievable gait, looking as if it were dancing. But a chicken dancing?

Wu Changkong said that although he didn't understand it, he was deeply shocked.

"Hey, it's not a good time to look around!" Cai Xukun said coldly, looking at Wu Changkong who was a little dazed. Then he pressed down hard and slashed Wu Changkong downwards, which was exactly where the roc was attacking from above.

After being slashed downwards, Wu Changkong felt a whooshing sound. It was the chicken throwing the Kun ball at him. He quickly adjusted his body, swung the Heavenly Frost Sword, and shattered the Kun ball.

But the chicken followed closely behind and charged at him. By then, it was too late to swing his sword to slash it. So Wu Changkong held the Heavenly Frost Sword horizontally in front of his chest, trying to use it to block the chicken's impact.

As a result, the chicken actually passed through the Heavenly Frost Sword's defense and then crashed hard into his chest.

"Damn it, what kind of strange ability is this?" Wu Changkong felt that his soul power was rapidly draining away. A layer of white jade light appeared on his left hand, and he was about to swat the chicken in front of his chest away.

However, his body suddenly staggered and then fell vertically from the air, and his battle armor began to gradually dissipate.

"Is this chicken's ability to absorb and seal the enemy's soul power?!"

Even as he fell, Wu Changkong subconsciously analyzed the situation. Then, a wave of weakness washed over him, and Wu Changkong quickly lost consciousness.

Cai Xukun swooped down and grabbed Wu Changkong to prevent him from being thrown to his death. He then looked at Wu Changkong's chest.

"Well done, Dapeng."

"Cluck cluck cluck..." Upon hearing Cai Xukun's words, the black and white chicken immediately crowed excitedly, then transformed into a streak of black light and returned to Cai Xukun's body.

"Sigh, I wonder when it will be able to transform into a real roc."

Dapeng, that's the name of that chicken from earlier. It's both a product of the Chimera spirit and one of Nan Fusheng's avatars.

After Nan Fusheng accidentally created Cai Xukun, he thought of equipping him with a powerful soul spirit.

So they combined and purified the remaining sea spirit beast bloodlines, added Cai Xukun's blood, and some flying spirit beast bloodlines, hoping to create a special spirit: Kunpeng.

In the Northern Ocean there is a fish, its name is Kun. Kun is so large that no one knows how many thousands of miles it spans. It transforms into a bird, its name is Peng. Peng's back is so vast that no one knows how many thousands of miles it spans; when it flies in anger, its wings are like clouds hanging from the sky.

This is an ancient poem from Nan Fusheng's previous life. He thought that since he had already created a martial soul similar to a Kun, he wondered if he could evolve it again and turn it into a Kunpeng with two forms.

In the end, it was both a success and a failure.

This spirit is indeed a Kun, and it can indeed transform its form. In its normal form, it is a normal Kun, but after transforming into its second form, it becomes somewhat distorted.

The magnificent roc had turned into a chicken, leaving Nan Fusheng completely baffled.

Fortunately, he has a high compatibility with Cai Xukun and can skillfully use his various soul skills.

Because the way this chicken uses the Kun ball reminded Nan Fusheng of an old friend, he named it: The Chicken That Plays Basketball.

Finally, due to strong protests from the other party, it was renamed Dapeng.

It was Cai Xukun's arrangement that he was able to capture Wu Changkong. He seemed to have thrown away the Jikun Shield earlier, but in reality, he injected his soul power into it and had the Great Roc possess it as well.

The spirit-forged alloy was already part of his body, so he could easily integrate his soul into it. Furthermore, the amplifying ability of the spirit alloy significantly enhanced all of Dapeng's abilities.

The roc that just passed through the Heavenly Frost Sword was Cai Xukun's second soul skill: Illusion. It allows the user to freely hide the entire body or a part of it within space, thereby avoiding or attacking enemies.

Wu Changkong was already at his limit, and Cai Xukun didn't give him a chance to rest, continuing to fight him relentlessly. This allowed Dapeng to devour him so easily and seal Wu Changkong's soul power.
