Douluo Amon: I am the Heavenly Venerable of the Dragon King.

Chapter 359 One-Word Battle Armor Master

Once the team competition enters the final stage, the format will change. It will no longer be a regular seven-on-seven match, but will include several matches. This is to fully showcase the strength of a team.

Three one-on-one matches, one two-on-two match, and one seven-on-seven match.

All participating team members can participate in multiple matches of different types. That is to say, a player who has participated in a one-on-one match can also participate in a two-on-two match or a team match.

One-on-one is worth one point per match, two-on-two is worth two points, and seven-on-seven is worth four points. After all matches are completed, the team with the highest total score wins and advances to the next round.

In the team competition, only sixteen teams will advance to the final stage, so the first match will be a round of sixteen to eight. To win the final championship, teams need to win four consecutive matches.

This competition is highly valued not only by the Star Luo Empire but also by its people, as the champions of both of their competitions have been taken by outsiders from the Douluo Continent.

This final seven-on-seven team match can be considered their last vestige of dignity. If Monster Academy can win this last match, they will at least still have one last fig leaf to save face.

Even the official authorities of the Star Luo Empire are facing considerable pressure.

The initial purpose of inviting these Douluo Continent teams was simply to have them add to the excitement of the competition and, incidentally, showcase the strength of the younger generation of the Star Luo Empire to the Federation.

But who would have thought they'd let a tiger into their house? These young people from Douluo Continent, though young, were incredibly powerful, easily defeating the younger generation of their Star Luo Empire one by one. Even Long Yue didn't make it to the final rounds.

This is an absolute disgrace!

Not only did they lose the individual championship, they also failed to retain the two-on-two championship, which was snatched away by Tang Wulin of Shrek Academy, and they couldn't really say anything about it.

After all, everyone knows that Long Yue lost the two-on-two match not because he was weak, but because Dai Yun'er held him back. And Dai Yun'er is the princess of the Star Luo Empire! That's incredibly frustrating.

There was no other way but to pin their hopes on the final seven-on-seven team match. If Longyue could win, at least they would still have some dignity left.

Moreover, the fact that the Sun Moon Royal Soul Master Academy did not participate in the seven-on-seven team competition brought a sigh of relief to the Star Luo Empire officials.

Yes, I breathed a sigh of relief.

Although they were reluctant to admit it, they understood that if the Sun Moon Royal Soul Master Academy really participated in the seven-on-seven team competition, then their Monster Academy would have absolutely no chance of winning.

Lu Fa, who defeated Dai Yueyan, and Shenwei Kamui, who defeated Long Yue, did not use any battle armor or even his martial soul.

If these two participate, they will definitely win the championship in the seven-on-seven team competition, since no one on their side can stop them.

Therefore, the fact that the Sun Moon Royal Soul Master Academy did not participate was a real relief to them. Going forward, if they could defeat the Shrek Academy team, their Star Luo Empire could at least salvage some of its reputation.

After all, Shrek Academy enjoys the reputation of being the number one academy on the Douluo Continent. If they can defeat them, the Empire's Monster Academy can also preserve its reputation.

The Star Luo Empire had also obtained a lot of information about the combat strength of the Shrek Academy members in the individual competition, excluding those members who did not participate or were eliminated.

Among the Shrek Academy team, the strongest should be Tang Wulin, Na'er, and Yuanen Yehui. Xie Xie and Le Zhengyu are also the ones to watch out for.

Ye Xinglan chose to forfeit the competition to help Tang Wulin forge his battle armor, so the Star Luo Empire doesn't have much information about her. However, based on her previous matches, it's clear that Ye Xinglan's strength is around the fourth ring; while her combat power is decent, it's at most on par with Tang Wulin's.

The remaining Nan Fusheng and Xu Xiaoyan were eliminated early on, so they are not strong and are not a threat.

Xu Lizhi should be a support-type Soul Master, so we can ignore that.

Although Fors and Gu Yue did not participate in the individual competition, their strength should not be very strong, otherwise why would they not choose to participate?

In conclusion, no matter how strong Shrek Academy's teams are, their strength is still quite limited.

Among the eight Heavenly Kings, six are one-word battle armor masters and one is a two-word battle armor master. Their overall strength makes it virtually impossible for them to lose.

Team competitions are different from individual competitions. In an individual competition, even a small mistake can end the game, but in a team competition, teammates cooperate with each other, so the margin for error is much higher. It will be much more difficult for Shrek Academy to find an opening.

In other words, even if Tang Wulin wanted to replicate his previous actions, it would be very difficult for him to succeed.

Because of Long Yue's presence, putting everything else aside, Long Yue alone can easily score three points in the early one-on-one and two-on-two matches. Plus, he'll still play in the team matches, making him a mainstay of Monster Academy. There's virtually no chance of defeat.

He only needs to choose one match between one-on-one and two-on-two, and then ensure that the team wins the final match.

Therefore, the Star Luo Empire began to heavily promote this final seven-on-seven team match through various media outlets, aiming to further generate excitement and conclude the event with the team match, thus mitigating the impact of the previous individual and two-on-two defeats.

The organizers had already made arrangements during the round-robin stage. Therefore, in the final stage, as long as Monster Academy and Shrek Academy continue to win, they will likely only face each other in the final match.

……

Xingluo Stadium.

"Hello everyone. I'm Fang'er, and it's an honor to continue providing commentary for this year's All-Continent Youth Advanced Soul Master Elite Competition."

As you all know, the Shrek Academy team has decided to continue participating in the team competition finals. They will be playing in the first round of the finals shortly.

Shrek Academy has been making headlines recently. In the individual competitions, several of their members have successfully made it into the top eight or even the top four. They even won the championship in a two-on-two match.

Now that they've chosen to participate in this seven-on-seven team competition, are they also setting their sights on the final championship throne? The customs on Douluo Continent are different from those on Star Luo Continent; they place greater emphasis on teamwork.

"Shrek Academy is the number one academy in Douluo Continent. I wonder what kind of exciting performance they will bring us in this team competition."

Fang'er's tone revealed a hint of admiration. Even though Tang Wulin's methods were a bit underhanded, they had indeed successfully won the two-on-two championship. Regardless of the process, the result would not change; being able to flexibly apply tactics is a skill in itself.

Not to mention, Tang Wulin and Na'er are much younger than Long Yue. It is quite remarkable that they were able to perform so brilliantly in such a competition, fight all the way to the final and win.

Although Fang'er thought Shrek Academy was likely to suffer a crushing defeat in this team competition, the Empire also attached great importance to this final match, and the Monster Academy's top players would not underestimate their opponents simply because they were younger.

It's impossible for Shrek Academy to win. But how will Shrek Academy's team fare against this monster academy's lineup?

Not only was Fang'er curious about this, but the people of the Star Luo Continent were also very curious. The Star Luo official team had done an excellent job promoting the team competition.

On the podium, Dai Tianling personally came to watch today's match. He wouldn't have come if Shrek Academy hadn't indicated they would continue participating. He also wanted to see how the Shrek Academy team would perform in the team competition.

After all, this is also a good opportunity to observe the overall strength of the younger generation in Douluo Continent.

There will be eight matches today, making it the day with the most team matches. Shrek Academy's team is scheduled for the second match, while Monster Academy's match is the seventh, so they didn't even come this morning. Their match won't be until the afternoon.

The first match lasted forty minutes, ending with a score of 6-3, and one team advanced.

"The next match will be between the Shrek Academy team and the Amano Academy team. Players for the first one-on-one match, please enter the arena."

Fors didn't come today; she won't play unless it's the final.

And that was indeed the case. In this team competition, apart from Monster Academy, whom they needed to be wary of, no one else was a match for them.

Shrek Academy had clearly already made its decision. Ye Xinglan, who had already finished recuperating and was sitting in the main seat, opened her eyes, stood up, and strode towards the competition stage.

Ye Xinglan is like a sharp longsword. In Shrek Academy, she did not leave a deep impression on the people of the Star Luo Empire because she did not participate in the final stage of the individual competition.

Ye Xinglan's opponent, Xu Xihang, the captain of the Tianye Academy team, successfully entered the top sixteen in the one-on-one competition, demonstrating considerable strength. He is a level 52 Soul King and a One-Word Battle Armor Master.

When the referee announced the start of the match, Xu Xihang immediately released his martial spirit, his battle armor.

After the individual and doubles competitions, no one in the Star Luo Continent teams dared to underestimate these people from the Douluo Continent teams.

Despite being much younger than them, their combat power was quite fierce. Apart from Lu Fa and Shen Wei, who were clearly one-word battle armor masters, the others at most only possessed battle armor parts.

However, in the individual competition, several One-Word Battle Armor Masters fell to them, so even though Ye Xinglan didn't have any outstanding performance, this captain of Tianye Academy still chose to go all out.

And as it turned out, he was right to do so, because when Ye Xinglan and Xu Xihang clashed, starlight suddenly burst forth from Ye Xinglan's body.

The starlight first appeared on her chest, its brilliance illuminating her entire being. The starlight converged, vaguely forming a giant star-shaped sword behind her, its unparalleled sharpness erupting in an instant.

Ye Xinglan was instantly covered by a set of light golden battle armor, and the sword intent of the Star God Sword in his hand reached its peak almost instantly.

"Battle armor, a one-word battle armor, the complete set!" Fang'er's voice instantly rose in pitch. Undoubtedly, her voice wasn't directed at Xu Xihang's one-word battle armor, but at Ye Xinglan!

Yes!

In Shrek Academy's team, apart from Fors, Ye Xinglan actually has the most battle armor parts. This is because she is a craftswoman, and only when her cultivation improves can she better create battle armor parts for others.

Through the time spent in the two-on-two competition, she finally succeeded in forging the last core component, becoming a One-Word Battle Armor Master. With a cultivation level of four rings, she possessed a complete set of One-Word Battle Armor.

Therefore, the outcome of the ensuing battle became a foregone conclusion.

Both being one-word battle armors, Xu Xihang's spirit metal one-word battle armor, fused with his own, had already begun to possess some characteristics of two-word battle armor, directly leveling the gap in their soul power. However, in terms of combat experience, combat ability, and martial soul strength, how could Xu Xihang possibly compare to Ye Xinglan?

Ye Xinglan won the first match with an overwhelming advantage.

Ye Xinglan gracefully stepped off the stage, scoring the first point!

Meanwhile, in the waiting area, on the Shrek Academy side, the second person to stand up was none other than Yuanen Yehui.

Yuan En Ye Hui's expression remained calm as she strode forward towards the arena. Upon seeing her, the Amano Academy side was already somewhat desperate, for Yuan En Ye Hui had once defeated Shadow King Tengteng of Monster Academy.

Even though she conceded defeat to Tang Wulin in the individual competition, it was to allow him to conserve more energy.

Two to zero!

The third person to take the stage was Tang Wulin. After seeing him, Tianye Academy had given up all hope for the competition. Although Tang Wulin was also a fourth-ring cultivator, he had once defeated a one-word battle armor master!

Three to zero!

In the two-on-two match, Na'er and Xu Xiaoyan took to the stage. Their powerful Silver Dragon Spear combined with the absolute control of the Star Wheel Ice Staff allowed them to win the match with almost no suspense.

The team match was not played; the score was 5-0. The Shrek team successfully advanced to the top eight in the team competition with a dominant performance.

After the match, the Shrek team didn't hesitate for a moment, getting up and heading back to the hotel.

If the individual and two-on-two matches weren't enough to show Shrek Academy's full strength, then today's team match fully demonstrated Shrek Academy's capabilities.

Facing the Amano team, who also made it to the top 16, they won almost every match with overwhelming dominance.

They truly live up to their reputation as the Shrek Team!

This is also what the Star Luo Empire is happy to see. After all, if the Shrek Academy team is too weak, then even if the Monster Academy defeats them, there will be nothing to boast about.

With a strong track record as a foundation, this match can have a certain suspense and generate more buzz.

Thus, under the deliberate promotion of the Star Luo Empire...

In no time, news of Shrek Academy's participation in the team competition and its formidable strength spread throughout the entire Star Luo Empire. Especially in Star Luo City, it became a hot topic of conversation.
