Douluo Amon: I am the Heavenly Venerable of the Dragon King.

Chapter 574 Demon Emperor

"The Mermaid's Requiem!"

A strange mental fluctuation and sound emanated from Augustus, the innate ability of a top-tier soul beast it had once devoured: a mermaid—mental attack.

Upon hearing these sounds, the Deep Sea Demon Whale King's eyes glazed over, and it fell into a brief daze. It was only when its body was attacked by the scales that it snapped back to reality as if from a dream.

"Roar—" The Deep Sea Demon Whale King let out a painful howl, its body covered in blood from the parts struck by the scales, the wounds so deep that bone was visible.

"asshole!"

Even at this point, the Deep Sea Demon Whale King still did not give up the idea of escaping. A deep blue light surged from his body, and a blue breath was sprayed out towards Augustus like a high-pressure water gun.

Augustus flapped his wings slightly and gracefully dodged to the side. The blue breath grazed past him and struck a nearby underwater reef, instantly blasting it to pieces.

"An eye for an eye, so take this move too, Black Water Thunder!"

Augustus opened its mouth wide, and a black lightning bolt shot out like a dragon emerging from the sea, heading towards the Deep Sea Demon Whale King in the distance. This was the innate ability it gained after devouring the soul beast: Deep Sea Electric Eel.

"Ah!" The Deep Sea Demon Whale King was unable to dodge in time and was struck by the electric current. He immediately fell into a state of spasm, and his muscles twitched uncontrollably, twisting in pain.

"die!"

Augustus raised his right claw, and a dark golden claw shadow, like the scythe of death, fiercely attacked the Deep Sea Demon Whale King, who was in a state of paralysis. Wherever the claw shadow passed, the seawater seemed to be ignited, and strings of black bubbles rose up.

"boom--"

At the critical moment of life and death, the Deep Sea Demon Whale King once again emitted a purple halo, but this time the halo was purplish-gold, dazzling and bright. The halo was not large, just enough to tightly envelop the Deep Sea Demon Whale King.

The dark golden claw shadow struck the purple-gold halo, as if it had hit an invisible, solid wall, and instantly dissipated.

Seizing the opportunity, the Deep Sea Demon Whale King, enduring the excruciating pain in his body, unleashed his speed once more, using all his strength to widen the distance between himself and Augustus.

"This is so interesting! This deep-sea demon whale king actually possesses such incredible abilities. Its demon whale bloodline must be very pure," Augustus thought to himself in amazement.

Just as there are differences in bloodline among dragon-type soul beasts, such as sub-dragons, true dragons, and dragon kings, similar bloodline differences exist among deep-sea demon whales.

Leviathan once hunted the Deep Sea Demon Whale King, which had existed for 100,000 years. At that time, Augustus also devoured part of its flesh and blood, thus inheriting the Deep Sea Demon Whale's talents.

But it is certain that, in terms of both cultivation level and bloodline, the deep-sea demon whale king of the past is worlds apart from the one before it.

"With such precious treasures and a powerful bloodline, there's absolutely no reason to let this guy go!"

Thinking of this, Augustus once again gave chase, continuously unleashing various abilities to attack the Deep Sea Demon Whale King while pursuing it, but always maintaining a certain distance from it.

Augustus knew very well that if he pushed the deep-sea demon whale king too far, the creature might self-destruct and fight him to the death.

So now it has to do what a seasoned fisherman does when playing a fish: slowly wear down the opponent's physical and spiritual strength, and wait for the best opportunity.

Today, this deep-sea whale king has absolutely no chance of escaping its grasp.

Lightning, wind blades, water arrows, stone spikes, and mental attacks—a dazzling barrage of attacks—were unleashed from Augustus's hands, raining down on the Deep Sea Demon Whale King like a storm, turning the entire Arctic Ocean upside down.

"What the hell is this thing? How can it have so many abilities?!"

The Deep Sea Demon Whale King inwardly groaned. Since its birth, it had never encountered such a bizarre opponent. No, it should be said that it had rarely even encountered anything that could threaten its life.

"boom!"

A bolt of black lightning, like a demon's tentacle, slashed across the water and struck the Deep Sea Demon Whale King once more.

"Ah~" The Deep Sea Demon Whale King couldn't help but let out a cry, but this time it wasn't a scream, but rather a strange groan.

Yes, it's groaning.

"How could this be? My body?"

The Deep Sea Demon Whale King cried out in disbelief, then used its mental power to sense its own physical condition.

Its body was charred black, the marks left by being struck by lightning, and blood was flowing continuously from the wounds. Its internal organs were also shattered and broken.

However, despite being so badly injured, it actually felt a strange sense of comfort after being attacked.

"Those were the scales that pierced my body in the first place; those scales were poisonous!"

The Deep Sea Demon Whale King quickly noticed the anomaly. It turned out that some of the scales that had successfully pierced the Deep Sea Demon Whale King's body when Augustus used the Thousand Feather Flying Scales technique at the beginning were those scales.

These dark green scales are currently secreting a peculiar toxin, which is constantly eroding the body and nerves of the Deep Sea Demon Whale King.

That was the venom from the highly poisonous soul beast, the Jade Snail.

The Jade Snail is an extremely weak shellfish spirit beast, but it can secrete a special neurotoxin with a very strong hallucinogenic effect.

Creatures poisoned by this toxin will involuntarily experience a strange pleasure, while losing their sense of pain, gradually losing consciousness, and eventually dying without realizing it. The jade snail relies on this toxin to protect itself in the cruel marine world.

Augustus had consumed a large number of jade snails, thus inheriting this ability to secrete toxins.

What was a talent that Biyuluo could only use for self-defense was brought to a different effect in Augustus's hands. As Augustus's cultivation level continued to improve, the hallucinogenic effect of this toxin also gradually increased.

Under normal circumstances, with its profound cultivation, the Deep Sea Demon Whale King could easily expel the toxins. But now it is desperately trying to escape, so where would it find the time and energy to expel the toxins?

By the time it realizes something is wrong, the toxins have already penetrated deep into its internal organs, becoming as difficult to remove as a maggot clinging to its bones, making its situation even more difficult and dangerous.

"You despicable creature!" the Deep Sea Demon Whale King roared, but by this moment, its body was already riddled with holes.

If it weren't for the deep-sea whale's powerful physique and the energy provided by the whale pearl within its body, it would have collapsed long ago. Of course, even though it hasn't collapsed yet, its speed has begun to gradually decrease.

"Freezing ray!"

Augustus opened his mouth and unleashed a ray of deep-icy light, instantly freezing half of the Deep Sea Demon Whale King's body.

"Golden Tear!"

With his right claw raised, Augustus prepared to sever the head of the deep-sea demon whale king.

"Die!"

But when the golden claw shadow approached the head of the Deep Sea Demon Whale King, a strange change occurred.

"Buzz—"

A purple-black light instantly enveloped the sea area, and Augustus's claw shadow was blocked by a purple-black water curtain when it was still five meters away from the Deep Sea Demon Whale King.

"This is... the Demon Whale's Domain?!"

Augustus's voice rang out with some surprise and uncertainty. The instant he was enveloped by this purplish-black light, he could feel his soul power and mental power being greatly suppressed.

While both are within the Demon Whale Domain, this suddenly appearing domain is far more powerful than the one the Deep Sea Demon Whale King had just unleashed.

"You bastard, how dare you lay a hand on my daughter! You're asking for trouble!" A cold voice echoed from the depths of the sea, and then the entire ocean suddenly boiled!

"Damn, they really have someone backing them!"

Without the slightest hesitation, Augustus turned and ran. The treasure was good, but he had to be alive to enjoy it.

Just by looking at the suppressive power of this domain, Augustus instantly realized that he was no match for the master of this domain.

"Trying to run? Not so easy!" The cold voice rang out again.

The violent ocean current appeared almost instantly in the sea, and in an instant, huge waves rose up, tens of meters high, and the color of the entire sea even turned dark as a result.

All the water elements, and even the entire ocean, became Augustus's enemies at this moment, frantically squeezing his body.

In addition, this sea, dyed a purplish-black, also possesses a corrosive ability and a strange mental attack.

Then, a deep-sea demon whale king, nearly 500 meters long and entirely blue-black, swam out from the depths of the sea, looking at Augustus with murderous intent.

This deep-sea demon whale king is completely different from ordinary deep-sea demon whales. Its body is covered with layers of demonic patterns that resemble ferocious faces. When magnified, the blue-black color is actually formed by countless vengeful spirits.

"Damn, it's the Demon Emperor!" The moment Augustus saw the deep-sea demon whale, he roughly guessed its identity.

Although it had never actually seen the Demon Emperor, the Demon Emperor's terrifying cultivation level, coupled with the countless vengeful spirits entwining him, and his identity as a deep-sea demon whale, meant that there probably wasn't another deep-sea demon whale in the ocean with such a combination.

"Die!"

The Demon Emperor snorted coldly, opening his blood-red maw, and a gigantic purplish-black water sphere formed, its diameter exceeding five hundred meters, radiating a purplish-black light. The next instant, the purplish-black water sphere shot towards the direction Augustus had teleported.

"Teleportation!"

Silver light shimmered on Augustus's body as he instantly used the teleportation ability from the Silver Spirit Fish to move away from the area covered by the Demon Whale's domain.

"Boom—" The water sphere, hundreds of meters in diameter, exploded instantly, and the powerful soul energy fluctuations even created a vacuum zone in this sea area for a brief moment.

"Mother." At this moment, the deep-sea demon whale king, who had just been chased by Augustus, swam to the side of the demon emperor and, unafraid of the hideous demonic markings on the other's body, weakly spoke.

"Hmm, Lan Fuzi, are you alright?" The Demon Emperor looked at the Deep Sea Demon Whale King, his gaze softening slightly.

Despite his severe injuries, the Deep Sea Demon Whale King, known as "Blue Buddha," endured the pain so as not to worry his mother, saying, "Mother, don't worry, with my cultivation and physique, this minor injury will heal quickly."

With the Demon Emperor's cultivation level, he could easily tell that his daughter was putting on a brave face. "I'll help you recuperate when we get back."

Lan Fuzi shook her head. "Mother, you've finally regained some consciousness, so it's best not to use your soul power too much, otherwise you'll easily fall into a state of madness again."

The Demon Emperor said, "It's alright. The research on the medicine by humans is progressing smoothly, and my condition is gradually stabilizing. As long as I don't overuse my soul power, I won't easily fall into madness."

"The Blood Demon on the Douling Continent recently reported to me that their medicine research will be completed soon. After I take the potion, with the help of the sect's secret techniques, I will soon be free from the harassment of those vengeful spirits."

"When that time comes, my plan can be officially implemented. I want to make the entire Douluo Continent... um?" As he said this, a hint of surprise flashed in the Demon Emperor's eyes.

"Interesting, that guy is still alive. Let me take him down first and avenge you. Did he really think we, mother and daughter, were easy to bully?" The Demon Emperor's body quickly floated towards the surface of the sea.

On the surface of the Arctic Ocean.

"Cough cough, that woman's fierce!"

With a flash of silver light, Augustus's body appeared on the sea surface. Just before being attacked by the Demon Emperor, it successfully used its teleportation ability to avoid the blow.

But this came at a price. Augustus's right arm, along with half of his wing, was gone, and blood flowed uncontrollably. This was caused by a graze from the Demon Emperor's attack before he teleported.

However, for Augustus, this injury was not fatal, because its original bloodline prototype, the Tyrannosaurus Octopus, possessed powerful healing abilities, in addition to the powerful regenerative abilities of some soul beasts it had devoured.

It could be said that even if its heart were destroyed, Augustus could regenerate one. Its only true fatal weakness was its brain.

"Nine hundred and ninety thousand years! The Demon Emperor's soul power has undergone a preliminary qualitative change. It's not advisable to confront that guy head-on now; let's leave first."

"Door!"

Without the slightest hesitation, Augustus used his "door" ability, and an illusory spatial door instantly materialized.

After Nan Fusheng ascended to become an angel, he established a ritual that allowed these special avatars to borrow a portion of His power. As long as it did not exceed a certain limit, they could use it at will.

"That guy caught up so quickly." Sensing the situation underwater, Augustus didn't hesitate for a moment. He used his soul power to lift his body and headed towards the "door".

As soon as the Demon Emperor surfaced, she saw Augustus enter the "door". Without hesitation, the Demon Emperor also rushed in. With her strength, there were really few people on the Douluo Continent who could threaten her.

"Mother!"

Lan Fuzi, who arrived late from behind, saw the Demon Emperor enter the spatial gate and followed without hesitation.

And then, it evolved into the situation we see now.

When Lan Fuzi stepped out of the door, she saw this strange scene.
