Jiang Yun Ning was so frightened that she woke up immediately.

"Oh my god!" She touched her heart, feeling a little scared.

How could she dream of Jiang Che's icy face? It's terrifying!

Jiang Yun Ning was completely wide awake. Taking advantage of the fact that no one was in the yard, she went straight to the tomato patch in the corner of the wall and secretly watered it with spiritual spring water.

The tomatoes have already formed and will be ripe soon.

"Daughter. Why are you up so early?" Jiang Laosan crawled out of the cellar.

Jiang Yun Ning was startled, but luckily her back was turned to Jiang Lao San, blocking his view: "Dad, you went down to the cellar? Did you check my soap? How well has it solidified?"

Jiang Laosan grinned. He had only gone down to the soap out of curiosity: "It looks like it's solidified, but it's not ready to be cut yet, so I didn't dare touch it. Let's wait a bit longer."

Jiang Yun Ning nodded, having made a rough estimate in his mind. It seemed like it would be ready in the next day or two.

As the father and daughter were talking, Jiang Che came out of the backyard after feeding the pigs.

After several days of continuous attempts, and because he didn't want to be looked down upon by Jiang Yun Ning, he has now been able to control the frequency of dry heaving, and can even feed the pigs and clean the pigsty without changing his expression.

Moreover, Jiang Che is a clean person, and the pigsty has been cleaned much cleaner than before.

Jiang Laosan once remarked that Jiang Che had almost worn out the broom used for sweeping the pigsty.

"The pig's belly is a bit big." Jiang Che looked at Jiang Yun Ning with some concern. "Could it be that it's been overfed?"

He remembered that the pigs weren't this fat when he first arrived at the Jiang family's house.

"What?" Jiang Laosan heard it too, and ran towards the pigsty as fast as he could.

This is the only pig in the family, and we're counting on selling it to pay for our grandson's schooling. We can't afford to have anything happen to it.

The group ran to the pigsty, and Jiang Laosan was a little stunned.

"Girl, look at this pig, hasn't it kicked its own pups?" Jiang Laosan stroked his chin. "It looks like it to me."

Jiang Yunning also moved closer, staring at the old sow's belly.

This pig hasn't had a litter in two years; we were planning to slaughter it and sell it at the end of this year.

Could it be that she fed the two pigs the spiritual spring water on the day she arrived? And then the two pigs did something shameful while she was choosing a sinner?

"Father, it looks like I'm pregnant too." Jiang Yun Ning was somewhat surprised. The spiritual spring water was really a treasure; it could even cure infertility?

If only she knew medicine, she could just make some medicine, add the spiritual spring water, and wouldn't that cure all diseases?

But then I thought, if that really happened, wouldn't the world be in complete chaos?

Jiang Yun Ning shook her head, deciding against it.

"Oh my, our good days are here!" Jiang Laosan slapped his thigh excitedly.

The daughter has become sensible, and with the addition of Jiang Che as a new member to the family, even the old sow that hadn't conceived for years has become pregnant.

"Daughter, once the pigs have given birth and we sell them, Dad will throw you a wedding banquet right away."

Jiang Laosan's words almost caused Jiang Che to slip and fall into the pigsty.

Jiang Yunning did not miss this moment.

She feigned surprise and delight: "Really, Dad? That's wonderful! After we get married, I'll quickly give you a little grandson."

Sure enough, as soon as he finished speaking, Jiang Che's face darkened.

That damn woman, didn't she say they were just pretending to be a couple?

Jiang Che stared at her, only then noticing the fleeting slyness in Jiang Yun Ning's eyes.

He immediately realized that Jiang Yun Ning was teasing him on purpose.

boring.

Jiang Che cursed inwardly, pursed his lips, and turned his head to the side.

Jiang Yun Ning didn't miss the shock in Jiang Che's eyes and his reddened earlobes; she tried hard to suppress her laughter. It wasn't that she was mean, it's just that Jiang Che was too easily amused.

It's so funny how easily she blushes when teased.

Soon, the family finished breakfast. It was still early and not too hot, so they carried their hoes and went to the fields.

Jiang Che looked like someone who had never done farm work before; he held the hoe like he was holding a long spear. But fortunately, he learned very seriously and worked very hard.

He lowered his head, his somewhat thin body slightly bent, and used the hoe in his hand to clear away the weeds.

Jiang Yuning squatted on the ground, her gaze falling on his waist.

The dream I had this morning came back to mind.

She didn't even know if Jiang Che had abs. She had lived two lives and had never felt what abs felt like.

"Tsk. Make money, I definitely need to support a few broad-shouldered, muscular men with abs." Jiang Yun Ning muttered under his breath before standing up and looking at Yu Mi, who was not even as tall as his calves.

"Dad, why... why are they planted so densely?" Most of the original owner's memories were about Song Minglang, and there weren't many of these trivial details.

All I know is that corn was only introduced to the country a couple of years ago, and not many people know how to grow it.

But corn seedlings are different from wheat; they need space to grow.

"What's wrong?" Jiang Laosan asked, puzzled. "Everyone in the village plants it like this."

Jiang Yuning frowned: "Dad, this won't work. I went to town a few days ago and saw that other people were planting this too. You have to leave space for it; you can't plant it like wheat."

As he spoke, he reached out and plucked a few, leaving enough space: "It has to be like this."

Jiang Laosan blinked. "Really? No wonder the harvest for each family in our village has been so low after two years of planting."

He barely hesitated before pulling out the overly dense stubble from the gaps left by Jiang Yun Ning.

"Dad, let's take these home and plant them in the yard. Maybe they'll survive." Jiang Yun Ning said as she pulled them up and secretly put them into her spatial storage.

"Hey, Jiang Laosan, what are you doing here?" The village headman passed by and saw what this family was doing. He was so anxious that he slapped his thigh in frustration.

His shout attracted everyone around him.

"Third brother, what are you doing?" Jiang Youfu asked with a mocking expression, carrying his son Jiang Mancang and a hoe.

"Third Uncle, are you guys crazy?" Jiang Mancang looked at him with a grin. "These things are rare to begin with, and you've pulled out so many."

Jiang Yuning ignored Jiang Youfu and his son, and explained to the village head, "Uncle Village Head, I heard someone in town say that corn has to be planted this way, otherwise it won't have enough space and will suffocate."

The village head looked at her with a mixture of belief and doubt.

"Pah!" Granny Yang trotted over. "What do you know! My Minglang said, you reap what you sow. You can't even read a single word, and you're trying to teach others how to farm?"

Jiang Yun Ning was speechless. Why was there Granny Yang everywhere?

Is this fate's arrangement?

"Then you'll continue to listen to your son, won't you? He's a good-for-nothing who failed the imperial examinations for six years." Jiang Yun Ning rolled her eyes. She really didn't want to indulge Yang Pozi, that murderer.

"You!" Granny Yang was so angry that she wanted to hit her.

Jiang Yuning chuckled at her and immediately stepped back, saying, "Jiang Che, go!"

Jiang Che felt disgusted, as if he was being treated like a dog.

But it was this expression that frightened Granny Yang so much that she dared not go any further.

"Hmph. I'll wait until the day your family can't afford to eat. Don't come crying to beg for food then." Granny Yang glared fiercely at Jiang Yun Ning.
