My Hogwarts has a serious problem.

Chapter 51. The Second Attack

Chapter 51. The Second Attack

"Professor Fox?"

"Yes." George withdrew the leg that had just stepped into the secret passage.

"I know you usually get along well with Professor Fox, Lynn, but I have to tell you, he really has some problems," he said seriously.

Fred continued George's words.

"We noticed something was wrong with him when the school started, through the Marauder's Map. He was wandering around the castle almost every night, and this went on for a long time."

“Yes,” George said. “During that time, we didn’t even dare to go out at night, for fear of running into him in the castle.”

Lynn looked at them suspiciously, feeling that what he said was somewhat inconsistent with their personalities.

"Shouldn't you two be bold enough to investigate the truth behind Professor Fox's strange behavior when you encounter something like this? How come you're too scared to go for a night stroll?"

George and Fred laughed awkwardly, and it was George who finally spoke.

"You really know us. Well, I admit we once tried to follow Professor Fox in the middle of the night to see what he was doing in the castle, but every time we were about to follow him, Filch would suddenly appear. Although he didn't catch us, we didn't dare to take any more risks."

Lynn lowered his head and thought for a moment, feeling that this was too much of a coincidence.

"What about recently? Has he been going out at night again?"

"No," Fred shook his head, thought for a moment, and said, "He hadn't been out at night since before the Christmas holidays."

"Thank you, I will remember your words," Lynn said earnestly.

The Weasley brothers said goodbye to Lynn and went into the secret passage to Hogsmeade to make their purchases.

Lynn continued his search for the House of Requirement, pondering what the two brothers had just told him. In the end, he smiled, shook his head, and stopped thinking about it.

At the beginning of the semester, Professor Fox frankly admitted that he had secrets, just like Lynn had secrets.

Lynn didn't want to delve into Professor Fox's secrets, nor did he want anyone else to do so.

At least he was certain that from the moment he met Professor Fox, he never intended to harm him; in fact, he had given him a great deal of help.

Therefore, the Weasley brothers' words did not shake Lynn's impression of Professor Fox.

He still thinks he is a lovely and respectable old man.

……

Lynn, Cedric, and Ian would meet up for three meals a day.

During dinner, Cedric told Lynn some news he had just learned.

"Raphael was discharged in the afternoon. Madam Pomfrey cured all the dark spells on him, but she couldn't cure your shaving curse. The hair growth potion is a bit unorthodox, and the university hospital didn't have any spares. Professor Snape didn't have the materials to make it either, so he had to be discharged with a shaved head."

Lynn was drinking pumpkin juice when Cedric's words made him choke.

"Cough cough cough, that's really unfortunate."

Ian retorted expressionlessly, "If you didn't smile, at least it would seem more genuine."

"Who said I laughed? I was clearly sad for him." Lynn's explanation sounded so weak and powerless.

"You'd better be careful," Cedric said worriedly, looking at him. "Although he wasn't removed from his position as prefect, he was punished with a month of confinement. When he came out of the school hospital, he threatened to teach you a lesson in front of many people."

Lynn curled her lip: "Him? He might not even get his revenge on me before I send him back to the school hospital."

No sooner had he finished speaking than Professor McGonagall scurried into the auditorium with a grim expression.

"Everyone stay in the auditorium and are not allowed to leave! Female prefects from each college, keep an eye on your students. Male prefects, immediately bring back all your students. You must find every single one of them!"

"Hans Boscote, Slytherin: Professor Snape is appointing you temporarily to fill in for Raphael Williamson as Prefect."

The Great Hall erupted in commotion. The prefects from each house immediately rose to follow Professor McGonagall's instructions. The female prefects comforted the young wizards who remained in the Great Hall, while the male prefects hurriedly left.

Cedric and Ian turned to look at Lynn at the same time, their gazes quite strange.

Lynn stared at them, bewildered.

Why are you all looking at me like that?

Ian's eyes were fixed on him: "Did you do this?"

"What did I do?"

"Professor McGonagall's words just now clearly implied that something happened to Raphael," Cedric calmly analyzed.

"So what does this have to do with you suspecting me?" Lynn looked completely innocent.

"You just said you were going to send him to the school hospital," Ian quoted Lynn's statement.

"I was just...that was..."

"What is it?"

"Forget it, I'm not talking to you guys anymore. Anyway, I didn't do it. Even if I had a motive, I wouldn't have had the time to commit the crime!"

Not long after Professor McGonagall gave her instructions, the young wizards who had been missing from the Great Hall began to return one after another.

News of what happened in the castle also reached the Great Hall.

Another attack!

The victim was Raphael, who had just been discharged from the hospital less than half a day ago!

And just like Hubert, he was tortured with the Crucifixion Curse near the Slytherin common room, and his memories were eventually erased.

The news spread quickly among the young wizards, and the rumors that had been suppressed before were revived.

"It's happening again, another attack by a dark wizard. The killer has never really left; he's always been among us!"

"Is there even a question of who it is? Hubert still hasn't returned to us, and now even Raphael has perished. So who will be next? You? Or me!"

"Adrian Fawkes! He doesn't deserve to be called a professor! How could he be so cruel to his own students! The Aurors from the Ministry of Magic didn't capture him last time, which led to this tragedy!"

"Lynn and the others have lost their appetite," Cedric said quietly.

"Professor Fox's situation looks very bad right now."

Even Ian nodded.

"Unless the real culprit can be caught, even without evidence, with so many people pointing the finger at him, he will definitely be taken away by the Ministry of Magic for a special investigation."

The outcry from the young wizards against Professor Fawkes grew louder and louder, with some Slytherin students even shouting at Professor McGonagall, who remained in the Great Hall.

"Professor McGonagall, I don't think there's any need for the other professors to search for a non-existent murderer in the castle. Where is Professor Fox? The most important thing right now is to take him into custody!"

"Go back! Sit down! You don't need to worry about these things! Professor Dumbledore will be back soon!"

Professor McGonagall spoke coldly to the Slytherin student.

She has also heard what's going on among the students, but she's now so anxious that she can't even testify for Fox.

Because Fox disappeared right when Raphael was attacked!
