Chapter 305 The Ten-Thousand-Year-Old Cave Demon Spider (Part 2)

The spiderweb cage only held Flander back for a short time. Thanks to Tang San's delay, the cave spider finally lost its last chance to escape. A huge eagle claw slammed into its carapace, and although it couldn't break through the shell, it still managed to pull the cave spider's body back.

"Get on, Little San, let's go back," Flander shouted.

Tang San's Eight Spider Lances bent and sprang up, propelling him into the air before landing steadily on the back of Flander, who had transformed into a cat-owl. Flander, carrying Tang San, gripped the Cave Spider with his claws and flapped his wings violently, launching himself into the air. This time, no matter how cunning the Cave Spider was, it had no chance. The sharp soul power flowing from its claws completely locked down its aura, rendering it unable to use any skills.

Tang San and Flander flew out of the forest. With a few flaps of Flander's wings, the two arrived in the air above the poison array. Flander folded his wings and slowly descended.

At this moment, Liu Erlong and Oscar had returned. Ning Rongrong was not there; she was obviously in the woods absorbing the spirit ring of the Scaled Beast. Oscar's face looked terrible, as pale as paper, even somewhat bluish. There were still some stains at the corners of his mouth, indicating he had vomited quite a bit. Liu Erlong, on the other hand, seemed completely unaffected, standing with her hands behind her back, watching Flander descend from the sky, carrying the Earth Demon Spider.

Just then, Tang San suddenly shouted, "Xiao Wu, watch out!"

Because Flander descended from the sky carrying Tang San, and the spirit beasts outside dared not enter the poison array, everyone's attention was focused on them. Just then, a sinister figure silently slipped into the poison array from the flank, swiftly pouncing towards Xiao Wu. Its attack point was extremely cunning, precisely in a blind spot for those on the ground, yet it was spotted perfectly by Tang San on Flander's back.

The one that suddenly launched the attack was none other than the Human-Faced Demon Spider that Tang San and Grandmaster had previously been paying attention to. This Human-Faced Demon Spider, with a cultivation of about six thousand years, had been waiting for an opportunity. It could certainly sense the power of the humans within the poison array, and the moment Flander and Tang San descended from the sky, everyone's attention was drawn to them, giving it a perfect opportunity.

As one of the pinnacle beings of the poison attribute, and possessing six thousand years of cultivation, the Human-Faced Demon Spider was confident it could survive the poison array, though not fatally, despite the Poison Douluo's attack. Thanks to its own resistance to poison, the spider was assured it would survive the attack, and with the aid of the Fragrant Silk Immortal Herb, escaping the poison array would be no problem. Therefore, it chose this moment to launch a sneak attack that no other soul beast dared to attempt.

The Man-Faced Spider chose a spot closest to Xiao Wu. At this moment, Flander, the strongest member of the Shrek Academy group, was in the air, while Liu Erlong stood with Zhao Wuji at the furthest point from Xiao Wu. Dai Mubai went to help Protector Zhu Zhuqing absorb the Ghost Tiger's spirit ring. Oscar was still beside Liu Erlong, and only Grandmaster and Ma Hongjun were closest to Xiao Wu.

Surprisingly, the fastest to react was the Grandmaster. In a flash, he was already in front of Xiao Wu, unleashing Luo Sanpao. He leaped into the air, turned, and unleashed a deafening fart at his oncoming opponent. It was none other than Luo Sanpao, whose farts were as thunderous as the heavens and earth.

Although Luo Sanpao already had three spirit rings and Grandmaster's spirit power had reached level thirty-five, the gap in strength between them and the Human-Faced Demon Spider, who had cultivated for six thousand years, was still too great.

The attack, carrying a strong stench, only slowed the Man-Faced Demon Spider's advance. The spider seemed completely oblivious to the stench and charged straight towards Master and Xiao Wu. With a flick of one of its forelegs, it sent Luo Sanpao flying.

If it weren't for the fact that the Human-Faced Demon Spider had already entered the anti-poison range of the Fragrant Silk Fairy Item, the deadly poison attached to its spider legs would have been enough to kill Luo Sanpao.

Its other three forelimbs thrust forward simultaneously, their sharp spider legs aimed straight for the master's chest. Its target wasn't just the master, but also Xiao Wu behind him; with the length of its spider legs, it was perfectly capable of killing both of them at the same time.

"Pfft—" A dazzling golden-red pillar of fire shot from the side, slamming heavily into the side of the human-faced demon spider. The flames adhered directly to its body, emitting a foul odor. In his haste, the fat man couldn't unleash a stronger soul skill, so he could only fire Phoenix Fire Lines to damage his opponent as much as possible.

Back then, a two-thousand-year-old Man-Faced Demon Spider had nearly saved Tang San's life, let alone this six-thousand-year-old being. Even a ten-thousand-year-old soul beast would never easily provoke such a killer. The Man-Faced Demon Spider's cold little eyes showed no emotion despite the fat man's attack, remaining as sinister and ruthless as ever. As if it wasn't its body being burned, the spider spears remained fixed on their target, still aimed at Grandmaster's chest.

In a flash of light, Xiao Wu silently appeared in front of the master. She placed one hand on his shoulder for leverage, and simultaneously launched both legs up, accurately kicking the two spider legs beneath them. The spider legs of the Man-Faced Demon Spider rose slightly, almost skimming past her head.

In order to buy time, Xiao Wu disregarded the mental backlash she would suffer. The alluring light pierced the small eye under the belly of the human-faced demon spider, causing it to slow down for a moment. At the same time, Xiao Wu once again kicked the human-faced demon spider's leg, using the force to push back and forcefully shove the master's body behind her, just in time to meet Liu Erlong who was rushing towards her at high speed.

At this moment, the Man-Faced Demon Spider and Xiao Wu were attacking each other at close range. The master was sent out of the danger zone, and the fat man had just gathered his soul power and lunged forward. The others did not have time to land their attacks on the Man-Faced Demon Spider.

In an instant, Tang San's heart leaped into his throat. No one knew the terror of the Man-Faced Demon Spider better than him. If it weren't for the surprise attack and the domineering power of the Zhuge Crossbow, he would have died long ago in the Star Dou Great Forest. He would never forget the pain he felt when absorbing the Man-Faced Demon Spider's spirit ring. At this moment, Xiao Wu was engaged in close combat with the Man-Faced Demon Spider. That was a killer with a cultivation level of six thousand years, while Xiao Wu was the weakest in spirit power among the Shrek Seven Devils.

The six-thousand-year-old human-faced demon spider had neatly arranged barbs on every leg. Although the venom emanating from it was temporarily ineffective against Xiao Wu thanks to the effects of the Fragrant Silk Immortal Elixir, if it were to pierce Xiao Wu's skin, the poison would still spread through her bloodstream. That was something Xiao Wu could not withstand. Moreover, it was precisely because of these barbs that Xiao Wu dared not use any gentle techniques against this human-faced demon spider.

Teleportation has a cooldown period, and Xiao Wu had just used it once. Now, in close combat with the Human-Faced Demon Spider, she could no longer use teleportation to dodge. Her only choice was to persevere until her companions arrived to rescue her.

The human-faced spider was clearly enraged. It braced itself against the ground with its hind legs, and its four forelimbs, each carrying a spear, stabbed at Xiao Wu from four different directions. A pale white light burst from its body, and this time, it had clearly used its full strength.

Unlike Xiao Wu, the only chance for this human-faced demon spider was to seize the Fragrant Silk Immortal Item and escape before the others attacked. Having witnessed the fates of the Scaled Beast and the Cave Demon Spider, how could it not know the terrifying power of these humans before it?

Xiao Wu moved swiftly and possessed extensive combat experience. When fighting desperately, she would never hesitate to unleash her soul power, channeling it into her legs. In the nick of time, she unleashed four kicks, each aimed at the weakest point of the four incoming spider spears. She knew that as long as she could dodge the Human-Faced Demon Spider's attack, her companions' aid would arrive.

When Xiaowu's foot struck the four spider spears with all her might, her heart turned to ice. In that instant, she clearly felt that her kick was like a dragonfly trying to shake a stone pillar; it couldn't slow down the momentum of the attack, nor could it change its direction.

Xiao Wu's soul power was only level 37, which was far too much compared to the 6,000-year-old soul beast, the Human-Faced Demon Spider, which was launching an all-out attack.

The small eyes beneath the human-faced spider's abdomen gleamed with a ferocious light. It had already planned its attack: once it killed the human girl before it and seized the Fragrant Silk Immortal Item, it would immediately unleash several spiderwebs to block their pursuit. In terms of speed, with its nearly four-meter-long legs, it was far superior to the cave spiders.

When Xiao Wu's four kicks landed precisely on the spider spears, the Shrek Academy students almost cheered. But seeing that the four spider spears did not change direction, everyone's hearts turned cold.

In this extremely critical moment, all Xiao Wu could do was curl up her body as much as possible to absorb the least amount of attack. However, even if she curled up as much as possible, she couldn't dodge all the attacks. The four spider spears thrust out by the human-faced demon spider completely blocked all her possible escape routes.

Three spider spears pierced through Xiao Wu's body, but the last one couldn't be dodged and stabbed hard into Xiao Wu's chest.
