Chapter 349 Fire Immunity, Blue Silver Grass (Part 2)

"You're all too naive. This is something I've wanted to say for a while now; you've always been stuck in a misconception."

Huo Wu's pupils contracted instantly, while Huo Wushuang's eyes widened, filled with disbelief.

The incandescent flames gradually faded, even melting a large hole in the arena floor. Yet, within those waning flames, a large cocoon floated silently. No, to be precise, it was suspended above the melting hole, supported by Blue Silver Grass. Several strands of Blue Silver Grass were attached to the edge of the hole, supporting it.

The large cocoon was entirely composed of Blue Silver Grass, except that the Blue Silver Grass had now turned completely fiery red, radiating a dazzling brilliance. As the incandescent flames disappeared, the grass began to slowly disperse, weaving itself into a large net above the hole, supporting the person's body.

Tang San stood there quietly, smoothing out the wrinkles in his team uniform, his gaze calmly fixed on the seven Blazing Fire Academy team members who were completely stunned not far away.

"Do you really think I'm not using soul skills because I'm afraid of your flames? Not all plants are afraid of fire. There are always exceptions. From the very beginning, you've been led astray by me. You thought that your fire-attribute martial souls greatly limited my abilities, which is why you attacked so recklessly, right? Unfortunately, your judgment is wrong. My not using soul skills is precisely leading you down this wrong path. By now, your soul power has been far too depleted. I can tell you a fact. My Blue Silver Grass is immune to fire."

boom--

The stands were like a boiling pot, filled with a cacophony of voices. Supporters of Shrek Academy cheered, while supporters of Blazing Fire Academy shouted angrily. But none of this could change the outcome of the match.

Black light surged around Tang San, his gaze falling once more on Huo Wu, meeting her dazed eyes. From beginning to end, the two had been locked in a fierce battle. But now, the fight was over. Over without any suspense.

Seven beams of black light surged silently, instantly forming a blue-silver cage that completely enveloped the seven members of the Blazing Fire Academy. Even without expending a significant amount of their soul power, breaking through the limitations of this ten-thousand-year-old soul skill would be extremely difficult. At the very least, it was impossible to break through using fire alone.

The effects of the Eight-Cornered Ice Grass and the Blazing Apricot Blossom were demonstrated for the first time in actual combat, thanks to their forging with the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well. Not only Tang San's body, but also his martial soul gained the ability to be immune to both water and fire.

If it weren't for the clothes he was wearing, Tang San wouldn't have needed to use Blue Silver Grass to defend himself when facing that terrifying fire attack.

When Huo Wu was condensing her fourth soul skill, Tang San had already realized that this skill relied entirely on intense heat to generate its attack effect, rather than impact. Therefore, even if she gathered the fire attribute soul power of three people, or even thirty, what difference would it make? Even with the flame abilities of a Title Douluo, burning Tang San to death would not be an easy task.

The appearance of the seven blue-silver cages brought the competition to a close. Perhaps the students of Blazing Fire Academy still had some abilities they hadn't yet unleashed.

However, the match was already over when Tang San broke Huo Wu's fourth soul skill. The seven members of Blazing Academy had completely lost their fighting spirit, including their captain, Huo Wushuang.

"We... admit defeat." The words "admit defeat" were practically squeezed out from between Huo Wu's teeth. Her silver teeth were clenched, and she kept staring at Tang San. They were both Soul Masters in their forties, but this young man who looked even younger than her gave her a feeling of unfathomable depth. He was like a treasure trove that could never be fully explored, constantly revealing his abilities bit by bit.

And each time, his opponents would be defeated in such a display.

Just as Dai Mubai said, Tang San never does anything without being certain of success, and today was no exception. Since he dared to face Blazing Academy with his current team, he naturally had confidence. And this confidence lay in his own fire immunity.

In a direct confrontation, Shrek Academy might have had to expend considerable effort, given the relatively small difference in strength between the two sides. However, Tang San, through his clever calculations and strategic maneuvering against Huo Wu, achieved victory without expending much of his or his teammates' soul power. He defeated the second member of the Five Elements Academy.

If the battle against Elephant Armor Academy made Shrek Academy famous, then this battle has propelled Shrek Academy's reputation to the pinnacle of the preliminaries. At this moment, no one doubts that they are the most likely contender for the top spot in the preliminaries.

The audience wasn't stupid; they clearly remembered that Shrek Academy had fielded four Soul Masters of level 40 or higher when facing Armored Academy. This time, however, they only had two. What did this prove? It proved they still had reserves.

The blue-silver cage was retrieved, and with the referee stepping onto the stage, both teams lined up again. The outcome of the match was decided; not a single player was injured. However, the expressions on both teams' faces had undergone a dramatic change.

The seven students from Blazing Fire Academy had completely lost their previous confidence, replaced by resentment. Especially Huo Wu. Her beautiful eyes were fixed on Tang San, as if she wanted to devour him. She was unwilling, truly unwilling.

She had always been a prodigy nurtured by the academy, and in terms of strength, she was definitely among the top five, or even the top three, of the five elemental academies. But to lose to an unknown opponent, and to lose in both intelligence and strength, was an extremely unpleasant feeling.

This battle was a huge blow to her, especially the feeling of having no way to use her strength when facing Tang San, which caused her great pain.

They felt that their strength should be superior to their opponents, but in the end they still lost, and even lost inexplicably, all because of the simple words "fire immunity".

"We'll meet again. Next time, you won't be so lucky." Huo Wu stared intently at Tang San.

Tang San smiled calmly, "I'll be waiting anytime."

Shrek Academy has an 11-0 record, while Blazing Fire Academy has a 10-1 record. Although it was only one loss, they have already fallen out of the true top tier.

Amid cheers from the audience, both sides left the arena. As soon as Tang San stepped off the stage, Oscar, Ma Hongjun, and the others rushed over.

Oscar laughed and said, "Little San, you're really something." They all knew that Tang San's Blue Silver Grass was immune to both water and fire. But his ability to apply it in this way was an eye-opener for everyone, and what should have been a fierce battle ended so calmly.

This undoubtedly boosted the confidence of everyone at Shrek Academy to its peak.

When the Shrek Seven Devils and the others entered the players' rest area, both those who hadn't yet competed and those whose matches had already ended looked at them with a greater sense of awe, especially when they looked at Tang San.

In the preliminary rounds of this Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament, Tang San truly stole the show.

Especially in the match between Xiangjia Academy and the recently concluded Blazing Fire Academy, he single-handedly turned the tide of the game.

The Blazing Fire Academy team members also returned to the rest area. They were naturally unwilling, but what could they do? As the match ended, they gradually calmed down.

Both Huo Wushuang and Huo Wu understood that even if they didn't lose to Tang San in terms of strategy, it would still be difficult for them to defeat Shrek Academy.

Tang San's fire immunity, as the team's core player, is a huge constraint on them.

With such a control-type Soul Master in existence, they would have no chance at all.

"Huo Wushuang, we'll avenge you in a few days." Just as the group from Blazing Fire Academy was feeling extremely frustrated, a somewhat deep voice rang out. Everyone looked in the direction of the voice and saw a group of contestants dressed in cyan team uniforms walking towards them.

The team uniforms, adorned with silver thread embroidery, shone brightly against the uniforms of the Blazing Fire Academy. This was none other than the Divine Wind Academy, another of the Five Elements Academy.

The one speaking was Feng Xiaotian, the captain of Shenfeng Academy and the soul of their team, a control-type soul master.

Although he was speaking to Huo Wushuang, his gaze remained fixed on Huo Wu, and the burning passion in his eyes was impossible to conceal.

Huo Wushuang snorted coldly, "Just because we can't does doesn't mean you can!"

Feng Xiaotian chuckled and said, "Wushuang, you know that's not what I meant. You didn't lose because of a lack of strength, but because of elemental weaknesses. Tang San just happened to be immune to fire; otherwise, Huo Wu's fourth soul skill would probably have destroyed him long ago. However, while he may be immune to fire, he might not be immune to wind. Although those guys from Thunder Academy can counter us, Shrek Academy can't. Battles between soul masters are often decided by elemental weaknesses, so you don't need to be too upset."

After hearing Feng Xiaotian's explanation, the expressions of the people from Blazing Fire Academy softened somewhat. Just then, Huo Wu suddenly spoke up, saying, "Feng Xiaotian, do you really want to date me?"
