Primordial Era: My God, this phoenix is too cunning!

Chapter 180 Mencius is Cangjie, and the Scheme of Jieyin

"boom!"

Thunder roared down, illuminating the entire sky; this was beyond description. (At this point, I hope readers will remember our domain name.)

Instead, bolts of lightning struck down, crashing down upon Confucius.

However, Confucius was already prepared, and his righteous aura suddenly erupted.

He looked like a blazing sun, radiating boundless light.

Despite the thunderbolts, he remained unmoved. All the lightning was blocked around his body.

And so, after who knows how long, everything finally calmed down.

The thunder dissipated.

The dark clouds in the sky had also disappeared without a trace.

Confucius, dressed in white, stood in the air like a peerless being, silencing all the powerful figures present.

The establishment of Confucianism as a religion has been completed.

The principles of Confucianism and Taoism have been established, and so it has been accomplished!

This has created a completely new path!

The Dao that has never existed in the world before—the Dao of Confucianism!

"Buzz!"

The void trembled, and merit appeared, transforming into a cloud of auspicious merit, which then descended towards Confucius.

Confucius gathered all these merits together and formed them into a ruler for discipline.

This is the merit and spiritual treasure of Confucianism and Taoism!

After Confucius survived the tribulation of lightning, he was not in a hurry to spread the methods of Confucian and Taoist cultivation throughout the world.

Instead, he returned to his residence and secluded himself for a period of time, revising many classics such as the Book of Poetry, the Book of Documents, the Book of Rites, and the Book of Music, and writing a preface for the Book of Changes.

Finally, Confucius personally wrote the Spring and Autumn Annals. When the book was completed, its majestic spirit soared to the highest heavens, flowers rained down from the sky, golden lotuses bloomed from the earth, the sun and moon shone brightly, and the stars shone brilliantly.

The Three Realms were shaken.

Confucius then left the pass and received many great sages from the human world who came to pay their respects; they were all outstanding figures from the various schools of thought.

Confucius opened his altar to preach, and finally spread the methods of Confucian and Taoist cultivation.

The cultivation of Confucianism and Taoism is different from the cultivation of immortals, demons, and Buddhas, and it requires reading.

Reading the books of sages and virtuous men allows one to understand their principles. However, this understanding varies from person to person, leading to the formation of individual literary minds. These literary minds can then be used to cultivate the righteous energy of heaven and earth.

Therefore, Confucianism and Taoism can also be called the Way of Literature.

As soon as Confucius spread Confucianism and Taoism, many great sages who listened to his teachings hesitated for a moment, but then many of them immediately followed Confucius's example and began to practice Confucianism and Taoism.

These great sages have already established their own principles, so how could they not succeed in cultivating Confucianism and Taoism?

In an instant, everyone formed their own unique spiritual minds, while the righteous energy of heaven and earth surged forth, flowing into the bodies of each great sage.

The great sages all exuded powerful auras that swept across all directions.

A surging, righteous energy rose into the sky, shining brightly, and for a moment, it seemed as if the entire human world was illuminated.

These great sages who cultivated Confucianism and Taoism all treated Confucius with the respect due to a teacher.

Confucius nodded, looked at Mencius, and said, "I have now achieved perfect merit and am about to ascend back to the Immortal Realm."

"The Confucian school will now be entrusted to you."

Mencius's original name was Meng Ke. He was the second most important figure in Confucianism after Confucius. Therefore, when Confucius ascended to heaven, he naturally entrusted Confucianism to him.

"Don't worry, teacher."

When Mencius heard Confucius say this, he was startled and quickly responded.

Confucius then gave him the ruler, and then, in front of everyone, ascended directly to the celestial realm.

Seeing Confucius ascend to heaven, everyone was filled with emotion, but also felt a sense of relief.

The two most powerful philosophers of the Hundred Schools of Thought, Laozi and Confucius, have both ascended to heaven.

Now, they can finally show off their skills.

Of course, with Laozi and Confucius as shining examples, no matter what others do, it is destined to be difficult to surpass them.

After all, it's easy to establish one's own school of thought, but difficult to establish a doctrine. And for someone like Confucius to take it to such an extreme and establish a completely new method of self-cultivation is even more unimaginable.

Confucianism and Taoism!

It can be said that Confucius established this principle, and from then on, he, or rather his original self Kong Xuan, became the Confucian Sage.

He is the ancestor of Confucianism and Taoism!

One can receive the blessings of the Confucian and Taoist lineages.

This is the real long-term benefit.

The more people in the world cultivate Confucianism and Taoism, the more fortune they gather, and the more benefits Kong Xuan receives.

After Confucius ascended to heaven, Mencius took charge of Confucianism. There is the ruler that Confucius left behind before his ascension, as well as the Confucian classic "Spring and Autumn Annals" that Confucius compiled at the end.

This book can be considered a treasure of Confucianism, containing not only the orthodox methods of cultivation in Confucianism and Taoism, but also all the principles that Confucius comprehended.

This book is just as powerful as the Merit and Virtue Ruler, and may even be more so.

Therefore, although Confucius is gone, no one in the Confucian school dares to offend him.

Later, Mencius inherited Confucius's teachings and further developed Confucianism, spreading the methods of Confucian and Taoist cultivation almost throughout the human world. However, he also retired after achieving his goal.

He was hailed as the "Second Sage" of Confucianism, and when he revealed his true identity and ascended to the Immortal Realm, it was even more astonishing.

It turns out that the so-called Mencius was actually Cangjie, the ancestor of human civilization. In this way, the title of "Second Sage" is truly well-deserved.

Following Mencius, other philosophers also ascended to heaven one after another. When they revealed their identities, it was initially shocking and astonishing.

In the end, everyone gradually got used to it and became numb to it.

At the same time, the ascension of the disciples made the human world much colder, but fortunately there were successors.

For example, in Confucianism, after Mencius ascended to heaven, Xunzi appeared, and in Taoism, there was Liezi, and so on.

However, it is much colder than before.

Confucianism, Taoism, Mohism, and other schools of thought have largely faded into obscurity. On the contrary, schools of thought such as the strategists, Legalists, and military strategists, which had previously been relatively inconspicuous, have suddenly become prominent.

This is also related to the changes in the various states and kingdoms of the human realm.

When Confucius, Laozi, and other philosophers were alive, the feudal lords of the world were roughly led by the Five Hegemons.

Qi, Song, Jin, Qin, and Chu! This period is also known as the Spring and Autumn Period.

After Confucius and other philosophers ascended to heaven, the feudal lords began to annex each other and split apart.

The original five hegemons have now become seven powerful states: Qin, Wei, Han, Zhao, Chu, Yan, and Qi.

This period is known as the Warring States period.

During the Warring States period, wars between the various states became increasingly frequent.

Among the seven states, Qin was the most powerful, having undergone the reforms of Shang Yang, which greatly enhanced its national strength.

It has gradually shown the posture of an invincible overlord.

The general trend of the world is that after a long period of division, there will be unity, and after a long period of unity, there will be division.

After the fall of the Shang Dynasty, the world has been in chaos for a long time, and now it is time to unify it.

At this very moment, just as the Qin state was eyeing the world and was about to gradually devour and annex the other states, it was also the time when the Qin state was eyeing the world with predatory intent.

Now, in the realm of the Earthly Immortals, there is the Western Niuhe Continent, one of the four great continents. This continent was actually the former Western Land.

After establishing Mahayana Buddhism, Duobao ascended to this Western Continent of Niuhe.

He established a temple in Xiniuhezhou and preached Mahayana Buddhism. His disciples included Kasyapa, Ananda, and Jin Chanzi.

Mahayana Buddhism also flourished, its fortunes converged, and it continued to develop.

However, the more Mahayana Buddhism developed and grew, the more sorrowful Zhunti's face became in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, beyond the Thirty-Three Heavens.

"Senior brother, didn't you say you had a way? Shouldn't you tell me now?" Zhunti asked Gui.

Upon hearing this, Jieyin nodded and said, "The time has come."

"Of course you can say that."

"Junior brother, although Fellow Daoist Taiqing's actions have divided Buddhism in two, our fortunes cannot be fully realized."

"However, by doing this, he also violated his principle of non-action. Non-action means that if one takes the initiative, it will damage one's own cultivation."

"And his efforts are destined to be futile, only contributing to the rise of the West!"

"Huh?" Zhunti was completely bewildered upon hearing this.

Jieyin shook his head and said, "Duobao's establishment of Mahayana Buddhism has divided the fortunes of our West in two; this has already become a fact."

"But if we're willing to let go, everything can be salvaged!"

"Junior brother, if you were asked to resign from your current position as the leader of Buddhism, would you be willing to do so?" Jieyin asked, looking at Zhunti.

Upon hearing this, Zhunti's body trembled, and excitement shone in his eyes. He couldn't help but blurt out, "What Senior Brother means is..."

Jieyin nodded and said, "That's right. As long as Duobao merges his Mahayana Buddhism with ours again, our Buddhism will remain Buddhism, and our fortune will naturally be complete."

"Taiqing's plan will collapse without a fight!" Jieyin said, a smile appearing on his suffering face.
