Chapter 283 Yu Xiaogang: I want "My Struggle"! [Please subscribe! Please vote!]

While Chen Hong was engrossed in creating the Philosopher's Stone at the Yin-Yang Well of Ice and Fire, the Youth Soul Master Competition in the outside world was gradually entering its pre-competition phase.

In Soto City, the Shrek Academy team, having become even stronger through a series of fortunate events, fought fiercely in the Soto City Soul Arena, defeating other teams in the Barak Kingdom and becoming a seeded team in the Youth Soul Master Tournament.

"Teacher Yu, do you mean we should register under the name of Shrek Academy, rather than the Shrek Academy of the Technology Chamber of Commerce?"

In the Soto Arena's rest room, Dai Mubai looked at Dean Flander and Yu Xiaogang, who had suddenly come to visit, with some surprise.

The other members of the Shrek team also cast puzzled glances at Flander and his companion.

"But the Technology Chamber of Commerce is our largest board of directors," Dai Mubai said hesitantly. Using "Technology Chamber of Commerce Shrek Academy" was originally their plan to repay the Technology Chamber of Commerce for its "sponsorship".

Just like how Flander sometimes makes them mysteriously add logos to their academy uniforms during Soul Fighting matches, Shrek Academy's name can also be used as a bargaining chip to win.

However, it is very difficult to add a name to Shrek Academy unless a benefit that Flanders is offered is presented.

"But the Technology Chamber of Commerce has never mentioned it, has it?" Flander tapped his square-framed glasses with his finger, his gaze unreadable, which made Dai Mubai somewhat confused.

"But...didn't we agree on this beforehand?" Dai Mubai still couldn't understand.

"But the Technology Chamber of Commerce didn't have any technology academy before, did it?" Flander silently looked at Dai Mubai, then glanced back at the Shrek Seven Devils who were in a daze, sighed, and continued, "The Technology Chamber of Commerce doesn't actually care about our Shrek Academy's overtures."

Oscar, his expression now much more resolute, hesitated and said, "But the Dean's Chamber of Commerce has invested a lot in us. Even the Soul Tool Academy within the academy is basically operational. As long as they continue to recruit students, they can continuously cultivate relevant talent. At this time, why should we do this?"

Ma Hongjun nodded vigorously and said, "Yes, yes, Dean, even if the Chamber of Commerce doesn't say anything, we should still express our attitude to the Chamber of Commerce."

Tang San and Xiao Wu remained silent, clearly not intending to express their opinions. Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing were the same, but compared to Zhu Zhuqing's silence, a glint of light flashed in Ning Rongrong's bright eyes, indicating that she had already given it her own thought.

Flander glanced at everyone silently, taking in their expressions, sighed softly, and said nothing.

Yu Xiaogang, who was standing next to Flander, stepped forward and said, "Let me explain to everyone. Shrek Academy has never owed the Technology Chamber of Commerce anything. This can be seen from the Technology Chamber of Commerce's recent attitude towards Shrek Academy."

Since Chen Hong left Shrek Academy and rarely returned, the Technology Chamber of Commerce has stopped paying much attention to it. Although it still invests according to plan and sends its technical and security personnel to Shrek Academy for further study, the Technology Chamber of Commerce no longer seems to have the same sense of planning for Shrek Academy's future.

In other words, the Technology Chamber of Commerce is not prepared to interfere with Shrek Academy's future, but it will continue to invest, though the level of importance attached to it will undoubtedly be several levels lower.

"The Technology Chamber of Commerce and Shrek Academy have a mutually beneficial relationship. In the past, when the Technology Chamber of Commerce invested in Shrek Academy, it seemed like they wanted to swallow it up. In reality, they just wanted the Soul Emperor and Soul Saint teachers at Shrek Academy to use their connections to their advantage." Although the Technology Chamber of Commerce ostensibly helped Shrek Academy a lot, and Shrek Academy seemed to do nothing, as long as Shrek Academy remained in Soto City and maintained an ambiguous relationship with the Technology Chamber of Commerce, it would be the greatest help to the Technology Chamber of Commerce.

Because the Technology Chamber of Commerce doesn't need to invade anyone; they just want to protect themselves and acquire enough high-level Soul Masters to make themselves appear less intimidating.

"Therefore, the initial motivation for the Technology Chamber of Commerce to invest in Shrek Academy was not for education, but to take advantage of Shrek Academy's reputation. Although this statement is somewhat exaggerated, this was the situation of the Technology Chamber of Commerce at that time. Without a strong military force and with its own value not yet fully demonstrated, it was easy for some small forces to bleed it dry at this stage."

"However, now that the Technology Chamber of Commerce no longer needs it, their attitude towards Shrek Academy has changed from initially wanting to absorb it to a normal cooperative relationship."

Although the Technology Chamber of Commerce had provided Yu Xiaogang with a lot of help, he felt he still needed to remain rational on matters that determined the future direction of Shrek Academy.

It's worth mentioning that Yu Xiaogang's Heaven Dou Research Team, with the help of the Soto Mental Network System's central hub [Huang], spent a week meticulously calculating and comparing data to reduce the error of the Soul Ring Age formula to within 10%. This is already an incredibly high value, considering it's the maximum. As long as Soul Masters don't cross the line, taking 90% of the maximum value will be safe, virtually eliminating problems during Soul Ring absorption. The final 10% is reserved for exceptionally gifted Soul Masters or those with congenital kidney deficiency.

A hundred-year spirit ring has an error margin of two digits, and a thousand-year spirit ring has an error margin of three digits. This is sufficient for current spirit masters. Yu Xiaogang's reputation as a master has once again become a hot topic on this continent.

"However," Dai Mubai still didn't quite want to accept the reality Yu Xiaogang had described.

"Sigh." Yu Xiaogang shook his head, looked at Dai Mubai and sighed softly, "In the past, Shrek Academy and the Technology Chamber of Commerce had a mutually beneficial relationship, so Shrek Academy could tolerate the rumors outside. But now, their relationship with the Spirit Hall is too close. Shrek Academy should not become someone else's tool. Therefore, we must take control of our own future."

Yu Xiaogang and Flander exchanged a glance, remaining silent. Ever since their trip to Heaven Dou City, where they met Liu Erlong and absorbed a Shrek Academy branch, their mindset seemed to have undergone some subtle changes.

Flanders wanted an independent and great Shrek Academy; it was his lifelong dream.

But Yu Xiaogang, why did you do that?
