Chapter 694 Under Violence, the Truth No Longer Matters

"No, no." Edward waved his hand.

He is a good person, but he is not a saint.

Scorpion nodded but did not put the two down.

Edward looked at the blue threads on his body, but for a moment he couldn't tell what they were.

He had never seen this substance before.

If he knew the properties of this substance, he might be able to find a way to solve it.

You need to patiently search through all the knowledge in your brain.

"Aaaaaah!!!" Edward roared in fury, "What the hell is this thing?!"

He didn't even know what it was or how to untie it.

"Brother." Alphonse looked at Edward with some concern.

She was terrified that her brother would offend the scorpion in front of her.

Turning my gaze to Scorpion, I saw that the blue threads on his hand were intertwined around him and had not yet been retracted.

That kind of thing isn't alchemy at all.

He had never heard of alchemy being able to achieve this level of skill.

Soon, the scorpion's blue silk threads wrapped around the person's body, and with a forceful upward pull, a figure was pulled up.

The white-haired man looked terrified.

"Devil!! Devil!!" he cried out sharply.

"He should be the person you two are looking for." Scorpion turned to Edward: "What are you going to do next?"

The next step, of course, is to wait for Scorpion to release them.

The moment Scorpion turned his head, the white-haired man still looked terrified, but his hand silently rested on his waist.

His expression changed from panic to ferocity.

"Forged!!"

The pouch emitted a scarlet light, and large amounts of mist were constantly spewing out.

A thick fog enveloped everything in all directions.

Scorpion turned his head in confusion to look at the white-haired man, who was struggling to break free of the chakra threads binding him.

No matter how much the other person struggled, they couldn't break free.

"So what exactly are you going to do?"

The scorpion waved its hand, and the natural energy transformed into a whirlwind that dispersed all the mist.

This fog is nothing compared to the fog of the Mist Ninja Star; at the very least, the opponent's fog is not so easy to dispel.

"Why didn't you complete the formation?!" The white-haired man suddenly glared angrily at Scorpion.

"Why?! This can't be!!"

How could alchemy be used without mastering the formation? He clearly saw that the other party had stirred up a whirlwind with just a wave of his hand.

"Nothing is impossible." Sasori raised his hand, and blue chakra threads quickly wrapped around the white-haired man's body, this time even his hands were restrained.

"If you don't need him, I'll kill him," Scorpion said directly to Edward.

The fact that the other party was noticed by a root-level expert means there must be something special about them.

"No, I have questions for him," Edward said in a deep voice.

It did not stop Scorpion from killing him.

What the other party did is enough to make them die many times over.

He glanced at the corpse lying on the ground.

Scorpions too.

Edward gritted his teeth.

Sasori loosened the chakra threads and threw the Edward brothers to the ground.

Edward rubbed his wrist and charged toward the white-haired man.

He reached out and opened the other person's fanny pack, revealing a scarlet, crystal-like object inside.

"It really is this." Edward gritted his teeth and glared at the man.

"How did you get this?!" Edward demanded angrily, grabbing the other's sleeve. "Do you even know what this thing is made of?!"

"Hahahaha." The white-haired man laughed maniacally. "Of course I know, it's made with human lives."

"How could I not know? I made this myself!!"

Edward's pupils contracted. This was indeed the worst possible outcome; this guy had actually turned a person into the Philosopher's Stone.

It is a treasure that can be exchanged for countless times by alchemists.

But it does require human lives to refine.

"Bastard!!" Edward couldn't help but punch the other person in the face.

"Tell me who gave it to you!!"

Edward had been investigating the Philosopher's Stone, and he finally caught a clue.

"Hahaha." The white-haired man continued to laugh wildly, his eyes coldly fixed on Edward.

"Want to know? Dream on!!"

"How dare someone as skinny as you become a state alchemist?!"

The man looked at Edward with envy; Edward had given everything but still failed to obtain that identity.

"Who are you calling short, you bastard!!" Edward shook the white-haired man's body violently, completely enraged.

He hates it when people say he's short!

"So all you want to know is this information?" Scorpion asked.

"If that's the case."

As if it came to life, strands of silk climbed up the white-haired man's head.

"What are you doing!?" Edward sensed something was wrong and quickly turned to look at Scorpion.

"Just letting you know what you want to know."

With a slight twitch of his fingers, Scorpion sent chakra threads burrowing into the white-haired man's head.

"Aaaaah!" The white-haired man suddenly let out a shrill cry as chakra threads drilled deeper into his skull.

Edward looked at the scene with a look of horror.

This scene has deviated from the scene he was familiar with.

Mind manipulation.

"Now you can ask me any questions you have," Scorpion asked coldly.

Edward gritted his teeth, wondering just what kind of being this guy was.

He is definitely not an alchemist.

Alchemists simply cannot do this.

Clenching his fist, he still asked in a deep voice, "Who gave you the alchemy array?"

This is the question he has been searching for.

The white-haired man's face was constantly dripping with fluid as he opened his mouth and made "ah ah ah" sounds.

"It's a woman."

Edward hurriedly pressed, "Who is that woman?!"

"have no idea.."

She said that with this, one could become a State Alchemist.

The white-haired man answered like a mechanical puppet.

No matter how Edward questioned, the other party had no intention of hiding anything and told him everything.

Alphonse couldn't help but look at the scorpion.

He now felt that the most dangerous person might not be that woman, but the scorpion in front of him.

Even the Philosopher's Stone might not compare to him.

After Edward finished asking his question...

"Whoosh!"

The blue chakra threads instantly shattered it into countless pieces, turning it into a sky full of flesh and bones.

Sunlight shone on Edward's terrified face.

Are you satisfied now?

Scorpion questioned Edward.

Edward slammed his hands together and turned to stare menacingly at Scorpion.

"Brother." Alphonse reached out and grabbed Edward's arm.

Edward took a deep breath to calm down.

"What exactly is life to you?!" Edward coldly questioned Scorpion.

Edward found Edward completely unacceptable of the other party's attitude of not caring about human life.

"It's just a number." Scorpion tilted his head and looked at Edward.

"1.5kg lime, 800g phosphorus, 250g salt, 100g saltpeter, 80g sulfur, 7.5g fluorine, 5g iron, and 3g silicon—the price of a newspaper—is enough to create a living person, isn't it?"

Edward's pupils contracted as he suppressed the turmoil in his heart and spoke.

"Human transmutation is a forbidden technique in alchemy!!"

"But you did it."

Scorpion looked at Edward's arm and Alphonse's body.

Mind manipulation is no longer as simple as it used to be; he has already extracted the knowledge he needs from the other person's brain.

Human transmutation is a very basic thing, but it is called a forbidden art of alchemy.

Once it is used, there will inevitably be a price to pay.

Without the Edward brothers, he might not have understood so quickly.

Seeing the two of them makes a lot of things clear.

This is the price they paid to become what they are today.

"Equivalent exchange is an ironclad rule," Scorpion said coldly.

Edward fell silent. Alchemy has never been about unlimited creation; even the Philosopher's Stone only replaced the price that had to be paid.

Edward and his companion left the village.

The matter has been resolved, and they don't need to investigate anything further.

just.

Edward glared at Scorpion in frustration: "Why are you following us?!"

Why would this cruel and powerful guy follow them around?

"So you're really going to let me just wander around your country like this?"

Scorpion's words were a fatal blow.

Edward slumped down, looking dejected.

He really couldn't trust this guy to wander around aimlessly; who knew what kind of things he might do?

But it's not just my problem if this guy goes back with them. What if he gets angry and destroys the whole city?

"Why do people like Scorpions even exist?! This is completely outrageous!! It defies all the laws of the human body!! Bastards!!"

Edward's frantic mutterings to himself.

Alphonse tugged at Edward's clothes: "Brother, you've already said it."

He was watching Scorpion cautiously, afraid that the other party would get angry and euthanize his brother.

Scorpion glanced at Alphonse with a blank expression, then ignored the two and walked forward first.

Edward looked at Scorpion's back with lingering fear.

"Hey, don't wander off if you don't know the way. We'll lead the way." Edward hurriedly ran forward.

What could he do? He could only bring Scorpion with him for now.

Edward led the way, with Scorpion and Alphonse following behind him.

"Mr. Scorpion, which country are you from?" Alphonse couldn't help but ask.

He couldn't recall any country that had someone like Scorpion.

Alchemists could never reach that level.

"The Sand Ninja Star," Sasori said coldly.

Alphonse scratched his helmet, then suddenly realized something and stared wide-eyed at Scorpion.

"You're an alien!!" Edward turned and looked at Scorpion with a horrified expression.

He had never expected this answer. Alchemists had speculated about the existence of extraterrestrials, but current technology did not allow them to travel beyond the planets.

"According to your understanding, it's like this." Sasori made no attempt to hide anything, since these people would have to face their Sand Village sooner or later anyway.

It just takes some time.

"So you became like this because you have an alien constitution?" Edward asked.

"No, it's about studying." Scorpion looked at Edward seriously.

"Would you like to learn?"
