Chapter 126 Finding the Target

Chiga arrived on the second floor and immediately spotted the third medical room in the corner.

Pushing open the door, Chiga and the other three went straight inside.

The small room contained no medical equipment, only a woman with scarlet hair sitting in a seat, looking up at the sky outside the window.

When she heard the door open, she turned her head and looked over, her empty eyes devoid of any color.

Upon seeing Ichiro behind Chiga, she understood why he had come in.

Without saying a word, he mechanically raised his arm and then rolled up his sleeve.

Her fair arms were covered in bite marks; even someone without trypophobia would get goosebumps just looking at them.

Upon seeing this, Kurenai and Shizune couldn't help but exclaim in surprise, "Ah!"

After putting Sarutobi Asuma down, Chiga frowned as she looked at the woman before her and asked, "Uzumaki Misa?"

Upon hearing her name, Misa Uzumaki looked up at Chiga. Seeing that the other person was Sabu, a Jonin from Kusagakure, she felt a little strange, but still nodded and said, "Yes, Lord Sabu!"

Having confirmed that the other party was his target, Chiga did not hide anything and said directly, "I am not Sabu, I am a Konoha ninja."

Upon hearing this, Misa Uzumaki was taken aback at first, and then she wanted to shout.

It was only because Chiga was keeping a close eye on her that she was able to quickly cover Misa's mouth.

"I came here to rescue you."

"Hmm"

Misa Uzumaki showed no excitement in her eyes, only continued to resist.

It seems that not everyone can let go of their resentment towards Konoha like Kushina did when the Uzumaki clan was wiped out.

On the contrary, it deepened considerably.

Seeing Misa Uzumaki struggling desperately, Chiga felt helpless.

After thinking for a moment, he could only say, "My teacher is Kushina Uzumaki. Do you remember Kushina Uzumaki?"

Upon hearing this name, which she had kept hidden deep in her memory, Misa Uzumaki wore an expression of disbelief.

In her mind, all the members of the Uzumaki clan were dead, and the fact that she was able to survive was only because she had sold her body.

However, when she touched her friend, Misa Uzumaki stopped struggling and looked at Chiga with anticipation in her eyes, but also with a hint of fear.

He was afraid that Chiga was lying to him by revealing Kushina Uzumaki's name.

Seeing this, Chiga continued, "I'm not lying to you. Kushina Uzumaki is my teacher. She's currently in Konoha Village, living a good life, and in a few years she'll be marrying the person she loves and having children."

"I came here to take you back so you can meet Ms. Kushina."

Misa Uzumaki stared intently at Chiga, and seeing that Chiga didn't seem to be lying, tears welled up in her eyes.

Seeing this, Chiga knew that the other person would probably stop calling out, so she slowly released her grip.

"Kushina, she's still alive. Some of my people are still alive."

Misa Uzumaki cried.

She wasn't happy about being able to leave Kusano's hellish life.

Instead, he wept with joy upon hearing that some of his people were still alive.

Chiga watched Misa Uzumaki cry silently for a moment, then asked, "Do you have a place to stay? Let's go to your place first."

Misa Uzumaki nodded. Her living quarters were very simple and located near the medical department.

Chiga and his three companions once again transformed into members of Sabu's squad, and Sarutobi Asuma no longer needed to disguise himself as the burned Ichiro.

The four of them walked down the stairs, with Misa Uzumaki following behind Chiga and the others.

I ran into the medical team leader again on the first floor.

Misa Uzumaki said weakly, "I used up too much chakra while treating Chunin Ichiro, so I need to go back and rest for a while."

Upon hearing this, the medical team leader glanced at Ichiro, who had fully recovered, then nodded and said, "Alright, there are many wounded these days, so I can only give you one day to rest."

The ninjas of Kusagakure also understood that one should not exhaust the resources, especially after learning that the other party had healed the seriously injured Ichiro, so they readily agreed.

Upon hearing this, Misa Uzumaki nodded and left the medical department.

After exchanging a few pleasantries with the medical team leader, Chiga also left with her teammates.

They followed behind Misa Uzumaki and soon arrived at her residence.

Misa's house is more like a small thatched hut than a proper house.

The house was quite simple, it seems that the Grass Ninja didn't consider Uzumaki Misa as one of their own.

Back in Misa's room, Chiga set up a barrier around the area and then dispelled the transformation jutsu.

When Misa Uzumaki saw that the only people who had rescued her were four children, she was stunned.

"Can you really get me out of here?"

Misa Uzumaki began to show a hint of distrust.

"Don't worry, our captain knows the Flying Thunder God Technique. We can leave after we complete our mission," Sarutobi Asuma said.

Upon hearing this, Misa Uzumaki cautiously asked, "If I go to Konoha with you, will you be treated the same as the Grass Ninja?"

She and Kushina are ultimately different; Kushina doesn't have her constitution.

Chiga paused for a moment, then gave a strange smile.

Before Chika could even reply, Sarutobi Asuma had already started to complain: "You probably don't know how well Kushina-senpai does in Konoha. If anyone dares to lay a finger on you, I'm sure the whole of Konoha will never be peaceful again."

"Yeah."

Misa Uzumaki lowered her head.

She hated Konoha because of its inaction back then, and dared not go to Konoha.

The only way to gain the protection of the Grass Ninja is to sell oneself to the Grass Ninja Village.

Ultimately, the Grass Ninja didn't care whether she lived or died; they just treated her like a walking medicine, taking a bite whenever she was injured.

The way her chakra and life force were drained left her constantly in a weakened state, and she wasn't given much time to recover.

Now, hearing that Kushina, who went to Konoha, is doing so well, he feels a little regretful.

Seeing that Misa was in low spirits, Shizune walked up behind her and said in an extremely gentle tone, "I'm a medical ninja. Would you please take off your coat so I can check your injuries?"

"Okay, thank you for your help!"

Seeing Shizune's concerned expression, Misa nodded, then took off her outer garment and lifted her leg.

His exposed arms and calves were covered in bite marks.

The newest bite mark even has traces of blood, clearly indicating that it was just treated today.

"Were these wounds inflicted by the Grass Ninja?"

Seeing this, Jingyin gritted her teeth and asked.

"Yes, my constitution is quite special among the Uzumaki clan. Just one bite can quickly restore my injuries and chakra, so..."
