Naruto Online: Hyuga Branch Family? Let's go all out!

Chapter 263 Conqueror's Haki and Luck

"When it comes to treasure, my intelligence network is always excellent!" Bucky said excitedly. "I even abandoned a town that was being looted just to get to Loguetown and stop you as quickly as possible!"

It's Orange Town, right? So that means Luffy didn't have a conflict with Buggy?

By the way, is Orange Town before or after Cocoyasi? I watched the anime so early that I've almost forgotten the plot order.

Never mind, it doesn't matter anymore.

"Although I've lost the wealth of an entire town, as long as I get the 100 million Berries you have, all my losses will be made up!" Bucky exclaimed excitedly. "Quick, hand over the money!"

Ning Yuan remained silent, then turned to Tashigi: "Navy, look, there are pirates extorting money from civilians in the street!"

Tashigi, ever the fierce one, immediately stood in front of Ning Yuan, shielding him behind her. Despite her trembling legs, she declared defiantly, "Bounty 1500 million Berries, Buggy, captain of the Buggy Pirates, I, Tashigi, hereby declare that your journey ends here!"

"Hahaha, stop joking!" Bucky sneered. "You? A mere Navy petty officer?"

"What if I were added to the mix?" With a roar of a motorcycle, a white-haired hunk with three cigars dangling from his mouth made a dazzling entrance.

The muscular man wore an open-chested military uniform, his eight-pack abs and well-developed pectoral muscles brazenly exposed, whether out of lust or to intimidate pirates, it was hard to tell.

He also had a jitte attached to the side of his motorcycle. It was a stick with a branch, made of metal mixed with seastone, and could hit Logia-type Devil Fruit users.

"Colonel Smoker!" Tashigi's expression immediately relaxed, and she excitedly approached Smoker from behind. "Colonel Smoker, this is Bucky the Joker, with a bounty of 1500 million Berries. He's trying to rob this gentleman!"

"I already know!" Smoker nodded; a communications officer had just reported the situation to him.

As he spoke, he glanced at Ning Yuan beside him with some surprise. He knew this reporter and had read yesterday's newspaper.

I just didn't expect this reporter to be so rich.

What does 100 million Berries mean? I've been a Marine for so many years and I haven't even saved up 10 million.

However, no matter how much money they have, it belongs to others. The navy's duty is to eliminate pirates.

"Buggy the Clown, your journey ends here!" Smoker roared.

The same words carry vastly different weight when spoken by different people.

As a Logia-type Devil Fruit user, Smoker is practically a bug in the East Blue, and countless pirates have met their end at his hands.

So even though he hadn't signed up, Bucky was already a little panicked.

"Smoker, let's keep to ourselves. Let me finish this robbery and I'll leave!" Bucky shouted, his voice trembling with fear. "Otherwise, that Marine next to you saw the explosion. I have a whole ship full of bombs like that. If you dare lay a hand on me, my men will blow up the entire Loguetown!"

"Hmm?" Smoker glanced at the center of the explosion. What was there besides a crater in the ground?

The explosion was completely blocked by the ice wall, and it didn't cause much damage to the building at all!

Therefore, Smoker scoffed at Bucky's threat: "I'm a dignified Marine captain, how dare you threaten me? I'll send you to Impel Down today!"

"Sending them to the prison is useless!" Ning Yuan suddenly interjected.

"Huh?" Smoker turned his head away irritably. Even though you're a civilian and protected by the Navy, I'll still beat you up if you talk bad about the Navy.

Tashigi, however, asked with a curious look, "Why didn't it work?"

"Do you know what Conqueror's Haki is?" Ning Yuan asked.

Tashigi shook her head, looking completely bewildered: "I don't know!"

She doesn't even know what domineering is.

Smoker's expression instantly turned serious: "You mean the Buggy Society? But how is that possible! How could someone with Conqueror's Haki only have a bounty of 1500 million Berries?"

"He doesn't have Conqueror's Haki!"

Smoker breathed a sigh of relief.

"But he has Conqueror's Haki luck!"

Smoker was just as dumbfounded as Tashigi.

"While Conqueror's Haki is extremely rare, said to be found in only one in a million people, the world currently has a population of billions. Even if only one in a million possesses it, there should still be a thousand people!" Ning Yuan said calmly. "But Conqueror's Haki's power is so vast, it's unparalleled!"

"You're not kidding, are you? Conqueror's Haki, his luck?" Smoker stared blankly at Bucky in front of him.

Dressed in a clown costume, with a red nose and clown makeup, he didn't look like someone with good luck at all.

Bucky himself was completely bewildered: "Hey, hey, what are you talking about? Are you going crazy because I robbed you?!"

Ning Yuan said calmly, "Those who possess Conqueror's Haki-like luck can turn misfortune into good fortune and avert disaster. No matter how great the difficulties they encounter, they can turn danger into safety. Even in environments that the Four Emperors would consider hopeless, they can create miracles!"

Bucky was completely dumbfounded: "Are you... are you praising me?"

Smoker was speechless. "I must have lost my mind to listen to all this rambling."

He reached out to unleash the white smoke, but Ning Yuan's voice suddenly rose: "Bucky, how do you think Roger won the Battle of Ait Wall?"

"what?"

"It's because you were on Roger's ship!"

The entire street exploded.

As mentioned before, those citizens did run away, but they didn't go far; they were still observing the battle situation.

So, they all heard that!

How did you feel after hearing that?

Blast!

According to this reporter, Buggy was not only a member of Gol D. Roger's crew, but Roger also defeated Shiki thanks to his luck?

"You, you must be joking!" Smoker was also shocked. He knew the Battle of Edd War all too well. It was a battle that almost determined the fate of the Pirate King. Roger was clearly in a losing position, but a storm changed the course of the war.

This is somehow related to Pakistan?

"Am I right? Buggy the Clown, a crew member of the Pirate King Roger, and the brother of the Four Emperors Shanks!" Ning Yuan gave Buggy a meaningful look, then turned to Smoker: "You can make your move now, but let me warn you, no one can hold someone with Conqueror's Haki! Not even Impel Down! Even if you send him to Marine Headquarters and have the three admirals watch over him day and night, he'll still have a chance to escape!"

"Moreover, the greater the difficulties he encountered, the greater the miracles he created!"

He patted Smoker on the shoulder: "Go on, Smoker!"

Smoker's cigar trembled, and he seemed excited: "You're saying he was a crew member of the Pirate King Roger? Really?"

"I'm a reporter, my news channels are extensive!" Ning Yuan laughed. "But he has Conqueror's Haki luck!"

"What Conqueror's Haki luck? I don't believe it!" Smoker grinned. "If he has Conqueror's Haki luck, then I am Conqueror's Haki justice. You say Impel Down can't hold him? Then I'll just kill him right here!"

Ning Yuan sighed, "Damn it! If you just wanted to capture him, you might have had a chance of success. But you're trying to kill him, so you're doomed!"

"Then let's give it a try!" the smoker said, his arm suddenly turning into puffs of smoke that instantly filled the entire street.

"White smoke!"

"Let go! Let go of me!" Bucky the Clown's panicked voice rang out. "What is this thing?"

When the smoke cleared, Bucky the Clown was completely shrouded in smoke by Smoker!

Not only was he arrested, but the people behind him, like Kabachi, were also subdued.

"Isn't this simple!" Smoker looked at Bucky in his hand, then at Ning Yuan: "Where's your Conqueror's Haki luck?"

"So a meme is just a meme after all, and not a law of cause and effect!" Ning Yuan pondered, stroking his chin.

At this point in time, in the East Blue, there are only two people who can save Bucky the Clown from Smoker.

Dragon, and Hawkeye.

But there's no reason for the former to save Bucky the Joker, while there is a reason for the latter, such as out of consideration for Shanks.

But he should have already returned to the Grand Line.

So, Bucky is doomed?

No, no, no, anything is possible before he dies; Ning Yuan still has some belief in metaphysics.

"You haven't even made a move yet!" Ning Yuan said, "Why don't you try killing someone?"

"Kill him then!" Smoker raised his ten hands, then suddenly stopped in mid-air, and looked at Ning Yuan: "You're so eager for me to kill him, do you have a grudge against him?"

"He tried to steal my Pele, didn't you see it?" Ning Yuan shrugged.

"So you wanted him dead, and deliberately exaggerated his threat!" Smoker said coldly, "That stuff about being a member of the Pirate King, Shanks' brother, and having Conqueror's Haki—it's all a lie!"

"Oh right, right, right! I don't know Roger or Shanks at all! I'm just a small-time pirate with a bounty of 1500 million Berries. How could I possibly be connected to such big shots!" Buggy the Clown cried, desperately trying to explain, "He just wanted to kill me, that's why he said that on purpose!"

"I might believe you if you said he's connected to Pirate Admiral Krieg, or that he's Black Cat Kuro in disguise, but a member of the Pirate King's crew..." Smoker shook his head. "I understand your determination to protect your belongings, but the Navy has its own procedures for dealing with pirates. Buggy the Clown, being a Devil Fruit user, can only be imprisoned in Impel Down!"

Ning Yuan shrugged: "See, the Conqueror's Haki's effect worked!"

"Huh?" Smoker was taken aback. "What nonsense are you talking about?"

"You were certain you'd kill him, but you changed your mind at the last minute. What else could that be but Conqueror's Haki luck!" Ning Yuan laughed. "I told you long ago, he has Conqueror's Haki luck; you can't kill him!"

"Hey, why don't you understand!" Smoker said irritably. "I've already said, the Navy has its own ways of dealing with pirates. It's not like you can just kill them whenever you want!"

"I'm a reporter for the World Economic Herald. Tomorrow I'll report on Bucky's Conqueror's Haki. You can't kill Bucky today, but after tomorrow, your navy, the soldiers on the transport ships, and the jailers in Impel Down might all be curious about how he has Conqueror's Haki. But no matter how curious they are, they still can't kill Bucky!"

"And as I said, the greater the adversity one encounters, the greater the miracles one can create!"

"Do you know what Roger became after the Battle of Eitwall?"

Smoker fell silent.

A passerby provided the answer: "One Piece!"

Ning Yuan smiled at the man and nodded, saying, "That's right. The Battle of Edd War can produce a Pirate King. If Buggy had faced countless assassination attempts along the way and been imprisoned in Impel Down, how would that compare to the Battle of Edd War? What kind of miracle would he have created then?"

"Do you think Impel Down will collapse? Or maybe it'll just wipe out Marine Headquarters?"

"Even world politics..."

"Shut up!" Smoker's eyes were red.

What does this mean? Is this a threat?

Are you saying that if I don't kill Bucky today, I'll be blamed for everything that happens later?

The key point is that this wasn't just known by one or two people; he's a journalist, and he really has the ability to expose this to the whole world!

When that time comes, whenever Bucky does anything, everyone will remember that afternoon when Smoker went easy on Bucky!

However, our navy has its own regulations. If I kill Smoker, wouldn't that be a violation of the navy's rules and regulations?

"Hmph, report it however you want, let's see how many people believe you. I uphold justice and don't believe in any kind of Conqueror's Haki or luck!" Smoker shouted irritably, "Tashigi, Seastone handcuffs!"

"The power of Conqueror's Haki is truly terrifying!" Ning Yuan exclaimed in admiration. "I've already made it so serious, but he still won't believe it!"

"Stop babbling on and on, he's just a pirate, kill him and that's it! Why all the talk about Conqueror's Haki and using it!" A passerby suddenly stepped forward: "If you won't kill him, I will!"

After saying that, he pulled out a revolver and pointed it at Bucky.

Ningyuan did not stop them, and Smoker could have stopped them, but he did not.

After all, Ning Yuan's words were too mysterious, and he was a little flustered.

He can't kill Bucky, but if Bucky is killed by a random passerby, then he won't be breaking the rules.

Then, in full view of everyone, the passerby's revolver went off with a loud bang.

The barrel exploded!

The revolver, a firearm that doesn't jam and has no barrel, exploded!

"Huh?" Smoker was stunned for a moment, then pulled out the Ten Hands and plunged it straight into the Joker's heart.

"Whoosh!" A sharp sword aura struck from afar, first creating a crack on Jute's body, and then Smoker and Jute were sent flying dozens of meters away!

Bucky is free!

In that instant, Tashigi was stunned, the onlookers were stunned, the passerby whose revolver had exploded was stunned, and even Smoker was stunned.

Is Conqueror's Haki really invincible?

"Hawkeye?" Smoker struggled to lift his head and look at the person who had come from hundreds of meters away. He could even send a colonel like Smoker flying more than ten meters away.

In the East China Sea, besides Hawkeye, there's no one else!

"How did you end up here?"

"Do I need to report to your navy where I go?" Hawkeye said calmly, but he was actually embarrassed to say it.

After defeating Zoro in Baratie, he wanted to return to the Grand Line, but he got lost for a few days due to the wrong ocean currents and happened to land today.

He saw a marine killing a pirate and rescued him without hesitation.

After saying that, Hawkeye suddenly sensed that something was wrong.

When he displays his strength, the onlookers are either shocked or cheering. At least, the name Hawkeye Mihawk is mentioned by the crowd a hundred or eighty times.

But why are their eyes so strange this time? Although they are looking at him, they are looking at the pirate he saved even more!

Someone was muttering something.

Mihawk listened intently, then his mind went completely blank. Conqueror's Haki? What was that?
