Chapter 3 Unlocking Chaos Magic

The sun slowly set, and darkness fell.

[Light Energy +1]

In prison.

Hearing the final notification sound, Su Yao regretfully opened his eyes.

"The sun has already set? I haven't absorbed enough yet. I wonder if moonlight can be converted." He muttered to himself.

This can be verified later. Right now, Su Yao looked at the energy points displayed on the panel and couldn't help but feel a surge of joy.

We should have enough energy points to unlock the next ability!

However, he did not acquire the ability first, but instead pondered the characteristics of imitating this variant ability.

"I wonder if the Orochi it imitates is from the game or from the background setting," he pondered.

If it's from a game, then besides the black particles we've already obtained, there's also spatial teleportation, a reflective shield, soul extraction, divine finger, a pillar of spiritual energy, and sunshine...

Perhaps it also has the ability to float and fly?

Different versions have different skills, and Su Yao only remembers these more obvious moves.

The background setting is terrifying. As the will of Earth, it must possess many abilities, but unfortunately, Su Yao only remembers a few.

For example, it can project thoughts to communicate with others, freely read others' thoughts, and manipulate the power of nothingness, etc.

"I just don't know what I'm imitating," Su Yao murmured to himself.

Besides this, he also had some questions: why was it imitating a giant serpent, and not some other being?

"Could it be based on my memories?" Su Yao pondered. "It might also be related to the fact that I was absorbing sunlight at the time?"

After all, Orochi is known as the Sun God and has a powerful attack called "Sunshine," which seems to be related to sunlight.

Therefore, he strongly suspects that the objects of imitation may have been extracted from his thoughts and memories.

Even the abilities possessed by the person being imitated may be based on one's impression of them.

After all, he had never seen the so-called giant serpent and didn't know much about it. Who knew what abilities it possessed or the principles behind its techniques?

Is it a combination of impressions, imagination, and elements based on reality?

"Damn, if that's the case, isn't imitating this mutant ability a bit idealistic and absurd?"

This is absolutely outrageous! It's outrageous beyond belief!

Su Yao thought with some surprise and doubt.

"I guess I'll understand once the unlock progress reaches 100%."

After thinking it over, he couldn't help but wonder who his next role model would be.

Just as he was thinking this, he noticed that his mutant ability seemed to be acting strangely.

In a daze, he seemed to see a woman shrouded in red energy, dressed in red, but her appearance was somewhat unclear.

In a daze, a name appeared in his mind.

Scarlet Witch Wanda!

The moment the name popped into his mind, he instantly snapped back to reality.

"My God, it's her?"

Thinking about the name, he couldn't help but feel a little surprised.

This guy is a famous ability user in Marvel, possessing chaos magic that can distort and alter reality!

Not only is he an Omega-level mutant, but he also possesses terrifying strength. In the comics, his powers went berserk, and he wiped out almost all mutants with just a single sentence!

Even in the world of American TV series and movies, an entire town has been distorted and altered!

To put it simply, she loathed this reality and wanted to create a world of her own, twisting and altering everything in the small town to fit her desires!

She even twisted and altered the image of her deceased lover, Vision; it's truly terrifying!

Furthermore, by using powerful chaos magic, Doctor Strange 2 was transformed into a story about Wanda's search for her family, with Doctor Strange relegated to an insignificant supporting role.

"Her next role model is her, which means I can also possess chaos magic?"

Even Su Yao couldn't help but feel his heart race at the thought.

Chaos magic! That's Omega-level power!

If we possessed it, wouldn't we just kill indiscriminately?

pity……

"Sigh, I still need to unlock the giant snake before I can imitate Scarlet Witch."

Su Yao was somewhat impatient but had no choice. The feeling from his ability told him that he had to imitate the giant snake before he could imitate the Scarlet Witch.

"But it'll be soon. At the current unlocking progress, it shouldn't be long."

Su Yao was somewhat expectant, and at the same time thought, "Moreover, Orochi's abilities are quite good. Just his spatial teleportation alone can allow me to instantly teleport out of this place, not to mention other abilities."

Thinking about it, he was somewhat looking forward to the next unlock.

The next second, he opened the panel and used up all his energy points.

A notification sound immediately rang out.

[Ability: Reflect Shield (Unlocked)]

The panel flashed, and brand new data appeared.

Name: Su Yao

Age: 16 (Remaining life expectancy: 83 days)

[Variant Abilities: Imitation, Energy Absorption]

[Current role model: Orochi (Titles: Sun God, Will of the Earth)]

(Unlock progress 23%)

[Ability: Black Particle (0/100) Level 1]

Rebound Shield (0/100) Level 1 (Unlocked)

[Energy Points: 0]

Su Yao frowned slightly, noticing that the unlocking progress was consuming more, but he didn't pay much attention to it and focused his attention on the new ability he was unlocking.

"A rebound shield?"

He was somewhat disappointed.

After a moment, he consoled himself, "Well, the reflective shield ability isn't bad. It seems to be able to block and reflect some energy attacks and physical attacks?"

As for its effectiveness in actual combat, only he will know after trying it.

Speaking of practical results, Su Yao looked around and, finding no cameras, decided to give it a try.

He squatted down beside the bed and stretched out his right palm.

[Black Particle Experience +1]

[Ability: Black Particle (1/100) Level 1]

With a notification sound, a blue spatial particle the size of a sesame seed appeared from his fingertip. Then, the spatial particle repelled the surrounding space and instantly formed a black wave as thick as a finger.

With a whoosh, a deep little hole was immediately swallowed up from the solid cement floor.

Su Yao was shocked by the destructive power, and then couldn't help but complain, "It really lives up to its reputation as a level one machine. The area of effect is pitifully small. Anyone who doesn't know better would think that hole was shot by a gun."

Suddenly, the excruciating pain in his neck intensified, abruptly interrupting his attempt to continue using his abilities.

"ah!"

With his hand pressed against the beeping mutant controller on his neck, Su Yao's forehead veins bulged.

It took him a while to recover.

He frowned, staring intently at the mutant controller on his neck.

With this thing around, forget about practicing your skills; just using it a few times might attract the attention of the monitoring personnel!

Su Yao frowned. "It looks like we have to get out of here as soon as possible."

After thinking for a while, he came up with a plan to escape.

We should be close to unlocking the next ability, maybe 25% or 30%. We should be able to jailbreak by tomorrow night!
