Chapter 224 Clash with Zoro

Despite its fierce appearance and enormous size, Lion Riki is actually only at the bottom of the food chain in the world of One Piece.

After all, the lions of normal size, or rather, a size larger, in this world have long been retired.

In the world of One Piece, powerful animals are often tens or even hundreds of meters tall, and that's just on land. At sea, there are countless Sea Kings that are hundreds of meters tall, and only those that are thousands of meters tall can dominate the ocean. The truly terrifying monsters have broken through the ten-thousand-meter mark in size.

Compared to that, Lion Riki can only make a living in the circus. He can still scare people a little in the East Blue, but in the Grand Line, his status is probably about the same as that of a grain reserve.

The foolish lion was slightly frightened by Uchiha Touyu and Nami, and it immediately turned against them and became Uchiha Touyu's pet.

"But Feiyu, what do you intend to do with this lion? Its fighting ability is so-so, it's cowardly, and it has absolutely no loyalty, but it eats a lot... It seems completely useless?"

"It's alright. I'm going to do some small research on this lion. If it's successful, maybe we can develop something very powerful."

Uchiha Touyu spoke calmly, his gaze falling on the lion Liji, causing the lion to shudder and show a hint of fear on its face.

Unfortunately, it was too late to be timid at this point; Uchiha Touyu wouldn't change his mind because of this lion.

"Let's take this lion and head back to the ship! The Straw Hat Pirates have arrived in Loguetown; I wonder if they've done anything to our Going Merry?"

Upon hearing Uchiha Touyu's words, Nami's smile froze, and she clenched her fists.

"That's right, these dangerous pirates. If they were to attack our Going Merry, it would be disastrous. Let's get back to the ship!"

This bandit and thief duo had long considered the Going Merry their own, and clearly wouldn't allow the Straw Hat Pirates to take back their ship.

The two, carrying a lion, rushed toward the port, but halfway there they saw Tashigi with a serious expression. The two marines she had taken with her were now knocked to the ground, unconscious.

The person who made the move was not Buggy, the pirate Tashigi had been chasing, but a green-haired swordsman.

Although Buggy is actually much stronger than Tashigi, he was already injured by the Straw Hat crew and was eager to escape. He didn't bother with Tashigi and had already disappeared without a trace.

Tashigi chased after Buggy for a while but couldn't find him. Instead, she encountered Zoro, who was lost. Seeing the Wado Ichimonji in his hand, Tashigi immediately realized Zoro's identity and drew her sword to challenge him to a duel.

It was only because Tashigi looked very similar to Zoro's childhood friend that the green-haired man showed mercy, only defeating two of Tashigi's subordinate marines and not killing Tashigi as well.

However, Tashigi's tenacity, to put it nicely, is her persistent and relentless nature, which gives Zoro a real headache.

"I absolutely will not allow a legendary sword like Wado Ichimonji to be with a pirate! I could hear that sword weeping!"

"Damn it, what kind of joke is this? This knife was a gift from my teacher, and a famous knife is a famous knife. How could you possibly have any thoughts of crying about it?"

"A knife is for cutting people; it can't distinguish between good and evil. Stop bothering me, woman, or I'll chop you up!"

"Even if my swordsmanship is no match for yours, I absolutely cannot..."

"Miss Tashigi, what are you doing?"

A familiar voice suddenly rang out from behind, startling Tashigi. She immediately turned around, her face serious as she faced Zoro, and bowed deeply.

"Excuse me, it's Mr. Uchiha Touyu. I didn't see you just now... Oh, right, I'm fighting right now!"

The female swordsman then quickly turned around and assumed a defensive stance towards Zoro. However, this interruption caused the originally serious and even tragic atmosphere to vanish, leaving only an awkward atmosphere.

Zoro blinked and couldn't help but say:

"Are you... perhaps an idiot?"

"How...how utterly rude! What a boorish pirate!"

Tashigi's face turned bright red with anger... perhaps out of embarrassment and rage, and she was about to continue her attack, but at that moment, Uchiha Tou grabbed her shoulder:

"I told you already, Tashigi, you're no match for this guy. Just leave him to me!"

"You are...it was you two! The thieves who stole the Going Merry!"

Zoro frowned slightly. Back at the Baratie, Zoro was seriously injured and barely paid attention to the outside world, so he didn't have a deep impression of Uchiha Tou.

However, the two had met before, and Uchiha Touyu later stole the Going Merry, which made the Straw Hat Pirates remember him. Even Zoro, after glancing at Uchiha Touyu and Nami, immediately remembered their identities.

Remembering their identities, Zoro immediately pointed his sword at them.

"Hey, you over there, Marines, compared to us pirates who don't even have a bounty anymore, those two notorious thieves over there are clearly much more dangerous!"

"Don't joke around! Mr. Uchiha Touu and Ms. Nami stole your ship to help you get back on the right path and stop being pirates. How can you treat them like thieves?!"

Zoro: "o( ̄ヘ ̄o#)......"

Do you want to hear what you're saying? Is this really something the Navy should be saying? This double standard is going way too far!

We are a chivalrous pirate crew that has never done anything wrong and has no bounty. We are the crooked ones. The two bastards who stole our ship are the embodiment of justice.

Not to mention Zoro, even Nami blushed a little after hearing this. Only Uchiha Tou, that shameless guy, stepped forward directly:

"That's right. If you can understand my good intentions, you might as well disband your pirate crew and join my adventure and exploration team!"

"Young man, there's no future in becoming a pirate on the high seas. Haven't you heard the saying, 'What goes around comes around'?"

"Damn you! Stop talking nonsense! Take this! Three-Sword Style - Three Thousand Worlds!"

Zoro's three blades formed three storms, slashing towards Uchiha Touyu. Uchiha Touyu smirked, reached out and grasped the Third Generation Kitetsu. Just as the blades were about to reach him, he drew his sword and aimed at a tiny opening where the three storms converged, instantly stabbing it in.

The storm formed by the three long swords instantly dissipated, and the two figures crossed paths. Uchiha Hiyori easily sheathed his sword, while Zoro spat out a mouthful of blood, and his old wound on his chest was reopened.

"Tsk... He's still recovering from his fight with Hawkeye, and he's already rushing to his death?"

Uchiha Touyu said with disdain, "With Zoro's current strength, although he is not his match, he is definitely not someone that he can kill in one move. However, Zoro's three-sword style was not very coordinated in the battle just now, which created a slight opening."

This swordsmanship is still unmatched against a weak opponent like Tashigi, but when facing opponents of the same or even stronger level, the flaws created by this disharmony become fatal weaknesses.

It's clear that the injury Hawkeye inflicted on Zoro hasn't fully healed, which led to Zoro's mistake.

"Damn it... Don't underestimate me!"

Zoro gritted his teeth, turned his head, and still maintained his Three-Sword Style stance. Although his body was getting weaker and his aura was getting weaker, the sharpness that belonged to a swordsman became even sharper and brighter.

The Straw Hat crew, and even people in the One Piece world, all have a certain ability to do sit-ups. The more seriously injured they are, the more they can unleash their fighting power.

Zoro was only slightly affected by his old injury because he wasn't excited yet, which caused a slight distortion in his swordsmanship. But now that he's fully excited, the more severe his injury, the stronger his attack will become!

However, Uchiha Touyu had no intention of getting entangled with Zoro. He simply waved his hand, and the Haki that emanated from him fluctuated in a strange way, striking Zoro.

This domineering aura seemed to have no destructive power, but the moment it made contact with Zoro's body, blood gushed out of the wound on his chest, the crimson blood shooting out seven or eight meters.

The famous Iron Man of the Straw Hat Pirates turned pale instantly, his whole body looked withered, and he collapsed to the ground, unable to get up.

The feeling of having almost all the blood in your body drained in an instant is not pleasant at all. This is only because the people in the pirate world have strong vitality. If it were the ninja world, even the Uzumaki clan or the Senju clan would be dead on the spot.

This is also the blood nerve effect simulated by Uchiha Tou using Armament Haki. It is a more delicate operation than internal destruction. As long as there are wounds on the body, the blood of the opponent can be squeezed out of the body surface in an instant!

However, the reason why it was so effective is because Zoro doesn't know any Haki at all. Otherwise, if he had Haki defense, the effect of this move would be somewhat reduced.

"Ah...this, Mr. Uchiha Touyu, you killed him?"

"No, this guy is incredibly resilient. Take him to the hospital for treatment, give him some fluids and nutrients, and he should recover in three to five days!"

Uchiha Touyu shook his head and gave an order. Zoro didn't have a bounty on him at the moment. Although he was a pirate, he was actually someone the Navy could choose to arrest or not.

That's why Tashigi asked Zoro a few questions after seeing his miserable state. If it were an ordinary pirate, no one would even ask if he died.

Just then, the two Marines following Tashigi got up from the ground. Tashigi simply had the two Marines carry Zoro, who was almost as badly injured as a human, to the hospital.

However, Nami happily kept Zoro's Wado Ichimonji and the Yukihachi sword he had just obtained from Loguetown.

Tashigi looked longingly at the two famous swords and said:

"Mr. Feiyu, and this young lady, what are you planning to do with these two knives?"

"Of course we'll sell it! A good grade sword might fetch a million Berries, but that's just a bonus. However, this great grade sword, Wado Ichimonji, could potentially sell for 1 million Berries if things go well!"

Nami, the little thief, immediately made a declaration perfectly befitting her identity, which made Tashigi a little anxious:

"This...this won't do! We can't let these legendary swords fall into the hands of bad pirates again!"

The so-called operation usually involves auctions, and those who buy famous swords and are not short of money are most likely pirates.

"Okay, I understand. I'll be a little selective with the buyers."

Nami said something nonchalantly, but it was clear that the little thief was just saying it for show. Although Nami wasn't a bad person, her moral standards weren't high enough to warrant it. As long as she had money, she didn't care who the buyer was.

"Alright, it's time to go. Only three members of the Straw Hat Pirates have shown up so far. Isn't there still that long-nosed guy who hasn't appeared yet? Maybe he's already planning to sail away with our Going Merry!"

Uchiha Touyu's words finally brought Nami back to her senses. She quickly clenched her small fists and said:

"That's right, Feiyu, let's hurry to the dock. We absolutely can't let those Straw Hat Pirates steal our ship!"

After saying that, Nami pulled Uchiha Tou along and headed towards the port. Tashigi opened her mouth as if she wanted to say something more, but in the end, she didn't say anything.

On the Going Merry, a crew member with a long nose is carefully inspecting the ship.

This small sailboat was given to the Straw Hat Pirates by Kaya, a crew member with a long nose and who is also Usopp's childhood friend. Naturally, Usopp cares about it the most. In the original work, he even left the Straw Hat Pirates once because of the Going Merry incident.

Now that the Going Merry has been recovered, Usopp naturally wants to give it a thorough inspection.

"Seriously, what were Luffy and the other two doing? After finding the Going Merry, shouldn't they have sailed away immediately? Why did they have to go to Loguetown to look for those two?"

Since there were only two people, Uchiha Tou and Nami, after they both went to Loguetown, the Going Merry was naturally left alone.

After the Straw Hat Pirates arrived in Loguetown, they immediately spotted the Going Merry. Usopp suggested that they just set sail and leave, ignoring the ship thieves.

However, Sanji said he wanted to go to Loguetown to buy ingredients, Luffy said he wanted to see the Pirate King's execution platform, and Zoro said he wanted to find those two thieves to have a go at. No one listened to Usopp's opinion.
