Full-Time Magician: Demon Mage

Chapter 385 Setting up the Demon Gathering Altar

As the alternate dimension collapsed, the distorted space that lay across the ground also shrank rapidly, disappearing completely within a few breaths.

Wang Teng didn't feel sorry about it; there was nothing he could do about it, after all, he couldn't just let go of a wild Dimensional Core.

"This place looks like an extremely safe location, and there's a very high probability that it contains a self-generating magic stone vein, which can meet my requirements."

He looked around. Although a major battle had reduced the place to ruins, it had not diminished its value.

What needs to be done now is to find the nodes where the earth's energy flows, then set up his magic-gathering altar, establish a kind of spatial gate, and guide the energy into his internal space.

This requires the two altars to work together to position and stabilize the spatial gate, thus minimizing the spatial passage and reducing the uncertainty of energy flow.

For a human mage, it would be very difficult to find the flow nodes of the earth's energy veins, requiring repeated detection with the help of instruments.

However, he doesn't need to. He can rely on the powerful senses that come with demons to roughly determine the location of the earth vein energy nodes, and then he can just dig there.

This is his most important task right now. He doesn't even have time to pick up the magic crystals and magic diamonds lying on the ground, nor does he have time to check if the advanced-stage commanders lying down have any strange bones.

As time passed, Wang Teng carefully explored along the edge of the wall, moving quite quickly. In just three days, he completed the entire circuit.

Finally, it was discovered that the two ends of the ravine were most likely to contain ley line energy nodes, but there was also a ready-made cave to choose from, namely the lair of the Scorpion-tailed Ghost Wolf.

It was a vast network of underground caves, large enough to support the survival of hundreds of thousands of scorpion-tailed ghost wolves, and even contained various dark plants.

He didn't even need to search carefully; he could just head straight to the sleeping place of the Scorpion-tailed Ghost Wolf leader, which was the area richest in energy.

The only downside is that this underground cave leads directly to the surface, and without the Scorpion-tailed Ghost Wolf demon clan guarding it, it could easily be occupied by other demon clans that discover this place.

Therefore, he needs to destroy all these passages that lead directly to the ground, and even the vast majority of the cave network.

"Let's set up the Demon Gathering Altar first!"

Wang Teng looked at the huge cave with a radius of two hundred meters, where the aura of the Scorpion-tailed Ghost Wolf leader still lingered.

The internal energy concentration surprised him; it was more than two hundred times that of the outside world, which was simply unbelievable.

The entire cave was very flat and clean, so he didn't need to do anything extra. The energy node was in the central area.

He took out the Demon Gathering Altar and placed it on the node. But that wasn't enough. He also needed to inscribe a high-level Chaos Gathering Magic Array around the altar to gather magical energy from all sides and stabilize the operation of the Demon Gathering Altar.

Another week has passed, and the entire cave has changed dramatically. A complex chaotic magic circle with a total of 343 nodes has appeared on the ground.

The magic array is similar to ancient formations, but it doesn't have the high-level constellation magic arrays of today. While the current star rule system makes it easier to cast magic, setting up formations is far less flexible and unique than ancient formations.

In addition to the core being at the altar, he buried an equal number of nano-crystal storage devices as nodes to maintain the energy of the array.

"start!"

As Wang Teng activated the magic array, the entire cave interior flashed with chaotic light, and a chaotic magic array appeared on the ground.

The internal magical energy was absorbed by the strong gravity and flowed into the magic gathering altar along the array patterns, causing the altar to activate with a roar.

It consists of three layers in the shape of a pyramid. The highest point, a pointed triangle, slowly rises into the air and then inverts. The pointed corner triggers spatial coordinates, and a silver light spot appears below the pointed corner.

"Success on the first try! Looks like I'm pretty lucky!"

A satisfied smile finally appeared on Wang Teng's expressionless face. Then, his consciousness quickly entered his inner space. Directly below the Hall of Heroes, there was a core node space of an array, inside which was a larger altar-like structure.

As he activated the altar, it quickly anchored to the coordinates of the alternate dimension within his body, also forming silver light spots.

Wang Teng's next task is to use the spatial coordinates of both parties to open a spatial passage and create a miniature spatial gate.

The surging power of the void poured into the two silver light spots, and two palm-sized rotating and twisting spaces quickly took shape.

In his perception, the two spatial coordinates were only a little over five kilometers apart, but there was a spatial overlap. As he moved closer, the distance rapidly shortened until the two coordinates almost overlapped.

The distorted space suddenly changed, and a small transparent hole appeared in the center, which quickly expanded and eventually formed a spatial passage the size of a palm.

At the outermost edge of the spatial passage, a spatial twisting phenomenon appeared, but the middle part was completely connected and gradually stabilized.

Through this tiny passage, one can see the scene on the other side, which is none other than the location of the altar in the inner space.

The magical energy gathered here was absorbed by the altar and guided into the passage, entering the space on the other side.

The altar on the other side has a slightly different function. The altar absorbs mixed magical energy and transforms it into pure magical energy without any attributes through the chaos purification array covering the altar itself.

Of course, this process will consume a considerable amount of magic energy, and the final amount of non-elemental magic energy obtained will be reduced. This is a necessary expenditure.

The pure magic energy serves two purposes: first, it is used to charge the nano-crystal magic storage devices for future array nodes; second, it circulates throughout the body's alternate dimension, increasing the magic energy concentration in that dimension as a reserve of magic energy.

Wang Teng stopped the maintenance and quietly waited for the formation to start operating. Half an hour later, no problems were found.

Attributeless magical energy began to appear within the body, evenly distributed throughout this circular space with a radius of five kilometers.

"We still need to do some testing, such as whether my random movement will affect the stability of the miniature space gate."

"Will the rotation of the demon core interfere with the cultivation of demonic magic, etc..."

Various thoughts flashed through Wang Teng's mind in an instant; this was a necessary test.

Of course, there's no rush now. The formation has just been formed and needs time to stabilize. He can't start messing around with it so soon.

The longer the duration, the higher the stability of the formation.

Now he can start to conceal this underground cave, for example, by covering it with a dozen or so layers of spatial mazes, to relocate any demons that might have accidentally wandered in.

In addition, it is necessary to destroy various passages leading to the ground and various redundant caves to create a large-scale, multi-dimensional labyrinth.

It's practically impossible for a human mage to venture into such a deep area, so he would mainly be facing demons that might pass by.

Time flew by as he was busy, and another half month passed.

Besides completing the necessary tasks, Wang Teng also remembered to explore mind magic and break through the forbidden spells with divine talent.

There is also ongoing research that has never stopped, using chaos theory to indirectly perceive the power of time and to understand its characteristics and modes of existence.

The Supercharged Exquisite Heart undoubtedly deserves the greatest credit for enabling such multi-threaded research to be conducted simultaneously.

Only he could be so special; any other super-level mage, even if they racked their brains, couldn't do something so complicated.
