Chapter 25 Supply Base

July 31st, evening, at the gate of the martial arts supply base.

As the last rays of sunlight fell, an off-road pickup truck entered the supply base.

When Qin Mu got out of the car, many people at the supply base recognized him.

"Holy crap! This kid actually came back? Wasn't he supposed to be dead? He, a near-martial artist, actually spent eleven whole days alone in the wilderness!"

Some people looked surprised.

"He's still alive! Look at his backpack, it looks like it's full of monster materials."

Some people were full of curiosity.

"Um, did you guys know that the Blood Wolf Squad started betting on whether he'd come back?"

Some people had long faces.

"Of course I know! I've invested quite a bit of money in it..."

With a backpack full of monster materials on his back, Qin Mu smiled as he listened to the surrounding martial artists discussing the matter.

When he left the supply base, it caused quite a stir; most people in the entire supply base had heard about him.

However, most people just regarded him as an arrogant fool and treated him as a joke.

But now, everyone is shocked.

How could they know that Qin Mu's journey this time was nothing short of a complete transformation?

When he left, he was just a minor quasi-martial artist, but now he has directly jumped to become a high-level warrior-level martial artist, and even a mid-level battle general-level mental master!

"Hey, I heard the Blood Wolf Squad just returned to supply base, and apparently they suffered quite a loss in the wilderness!"

"I wonder if Qin Mu will get into a fight with the Blood Wolf Squad."

Ignoring the onlookers, Qin Mu headed straight for the area where the HR Alliance's representative was located at the supply base.

As he walked, Qin Mu turned on the communication watch on his wrist.

After entering the wilderness, Qin Mu turned off the communication watch.

Qin Mu knew that this thing actually had a backdoor; as long as you had the necessary permissions, you could find out the location of the wearer.

Qin Mu was going to incubate the mother nest, so of course he wouldn't let others know where he had been.

However, since we were already back at the base and needed to sell monster materials, we naturally had to open it.

The reason for selling monster materials directly to the HR Alliance is that the HR Alliance usually offers the highest prices!

Selling to the HR Alliance simply means getting money. However, selling to the Extreme Martial Arts Academy will earn you Extreme Martial Arts Academy contribution points, provided you are a member of the Academy.

Selling it to the military or the Thunder Martial Arts School is similar; both can accumulate contribution points, just with different names.

Qin Mu hasn't joined any martial arts faction yet, so selling him to the HR Alliance would be the most cost-effective option.

"Let's go, follow him and see what kind of monsters Qin Mu hunted!"

Some curious onlookers followed behind.

"What's so interesting about it? It's just some low-level beast soldier monster materials. What level of monsters can a quasi-martial artist kill?"

Despite what some people said, quite a few still followed suit.

The life of a martial artist is actually quite monotonous; it's either fighting monsters or training desperately. This supply base hasn't been this lively in a long time.

Who doesn't enjoy watching a spectacle? Especially a spectacle like this that hasn't been seen for many years.

"Basic-level beast soldier?"

Qin Mu listened and chuckled inwardly.

In his backpack were materials from two monsters at the level of Beast General, as well as dozens of horns from high-level Beast Soldier-level unicorns that Qin Mu had used as consumables.

Qin Mu had no intention of hiding his strength, so he didn't care what materials others knew about him.

He is not Luo Feng. In the upcoming martial arts combat assessment, Qin Mu will do his best to show his talent and strive to get the best treatment!

The martial arts supply base wasn't large, and Qin Mu soon arrived at his destination.

"Hello sir, are you here to sell monster materials?"

A young woman with a sweet voice, a pretty face, and wearing HR Alliance business attire quickly stepped forward to greet them.

"Um."

Qin Mu responded, opened his backpack, and placed it on a platform. There were professionals nearby who would estimate the value of the monsters hunted by martial artists.

The staff member next to him walked to the backpack and took out the materials one by one.

"Is that the horn of a one-horned boar? Judging by the size and color, it's at least from a high-level beast soldier-grade one-horned boar!"

Watching the spectacle from the sidelines, a sharp-eyed martial artist spoke up before the HR Alliance staff could even begin their assessment.

"Not just one, my God, they're all high-level beast soldier-grade horns, a total of thirty!"

A commotion arose from the crowd. It was just some high-level beast soldier materials, which was nothing to many people present.

Keep in mind that this was a near-martial artist who went out to hunt alone in the wilderness!

The value of that is completely different.

When the staff took out a tendon from the tail of a two-tailed tiger cat from their backpack, the crowd that had been discussing the matter was shocked.

"Holy crap! What is this thing? Am I seeing things? Is that a tendon from the tail of a two-tailed tiger-cat? That's a monster at the level of a low-level beast general!"

"This is a monster that a near-martial artist could kill? Impossible! Absolutely impossible! It must have been hunted down by someone else!"

When the staff brought out all the materials from the two beast general-level monsters, everyone watched this scene in disbelief.

"Mr. Qin, among the monster materials you collected, these are all horns of high-level beast soldier-grade unicorn boars. According to the price, we can give you 8000 each, for a total of 24."

"We can offer 1100 million for the materials of this two-tailed tiger-cat because it is quite damaged. We can offer 1000 million for the materials of this low-level beast general-level tiger-dog."

"A total of 2124 million!"

Soon, the staff of HR Alliance completed their assessment and provided a quote.

"No problem, please transfer the money to this account!"

Qin Mu gave a bank card number to the other party's staff.

"OK."

Upon seeing the transaction completed, a loud commotion erupted from the crowd.

"These are truly monsters of beast general level! And two of them at that? Even a small team of warriors led by a general wouldn't earn much in the wilderness, would they?"

Everyone was shocked.

"Brother? Did you really hunt down this monster all by yourself?"

Among the crowd, a middle-aged man couldn't help but ask.

Upon hearing the question, everyone stared at Qin Mu with curiosity, waiting for his answer.

"Hehe, what do you think?"

Qin Mu smiled but did not give a direct answer.

Qin Mu was in a great mood when he saw the balance change information transmitted from his communication watch.

Although no direct answer was received, judging from Qin Mu's expression, one could guess the truth, though the truth was somewhat hard to accept.

"Brother Qin Mu!"

Suddenly, a burly, bald man with one eye stepped out from the crowd and shouted at Qin Mu.

"Brother Qin Mu, I am Zhao Yong, the captain of the Blood Wolf Squad. There was a member of our squad who was ignorant and used your matter to start a gambling den."

At the time, I was cultivating and didn't know about this. By the time I found out, quite a few people had already invested money, and you were already in the wilderness. It was difficult for me to handle the situation.

The bald, burly man spoke apologetically, while transferring money to Qin Mu via his communication watch.

"Brother Qin Mu, here is 1 million. You bet 100 on whether you could stay in the wilderness for five days. The odds were 1:5, so here is 5 for you. The rest is our Blood Wolf Squad's apology to you. We hope you don't mind."

Qin Mu raised an eyebrow, not expecting that this person was actually the captain of the Blood Wolf Squad.

Without refusing, Qin Mu accepted the money.

"It's okay, I didn't suffer any loss."

One shouldn't hit a smiling face, so Qin Mu didn't hold a grudge.

To be honest, Qin Mu was a little angry about this at first, but since the other party had said that, Qin Mu just laughed it off and the matter was over.

As for the truth of the matter, whether his teammates were ignorant or simply looking for a way to save face after seeing Qin Mu's extraordinary strength, it doesn't matter.

They've already backed down and don't want to make enemies. Qin Mu isn't the kind of person who would kill someone's whole family over a disagreement.

"Nothing else, I'll be going now!"

Qin Mu waved to the crowd and left with a flourish.

He still needs to rush back to the Jiangnan base city, back to Yangzhou, to participate in tomorrow's martial arts combat assessment.

Unbeknownst to Qin Mu, as he turned to leave, countless people were contacting his family and superiors, investigating his identity.

Are you kidding me? A quasi-martial artist who has never even participated in a real combat assessment can hunt down a beast general-level monster? What kind of genius is this?

Of course, even if Qin Mu knew, he wouldn't care, or rather, this was the message he wanted to convey to the outside world.
